TTC Feb 2025

Right, I'm CD14 today. Obviously my first month of temping and opking and I think I've been expecting or hoping for some miracle sign from there that will ping up in big flashing lights to say: it's go time! Conscious that it's likely I could miss my LH peak (my fluid intake is sporadic so OPKing is probably not particularly reliable for me!) and by the time I see changes in temp, that might be too late.

So, just going to give it a good go over the next few days and see what happens. I am up to my ears in coursework for an additional work-related qualification... but us modern women can do it all right? Smash out a working week, do top-class parenting, write high grade assignments and still find the time for excellent ba-doinking.

@Taysonic I think it really does take a bit of getting used to, i used to use natural cycles and found premom a bit more fiddly, plus everything you seem to click on says "pay for premom premium" 😂
I think you might find it levels out a bit more after the first month of using it, it definitely took a few cycles for me before it was totally accurate,

I thought i ovulated cd13 so AF due today, yesterday would have been 14 dpo but just spotting so assume i got it wrong and due tomorrow.

I don’t usually spot before a period but did the cycle before last so who knows.

Definite lines there, and definitely getting darker. Will continue to keep all fingers crossed for this sticky bean.

@Taysonic I found that with Premom, even when I had my peak it kept telling me I was 5dpo until it sorted itself out. I just went by the test lines and dtd accordingly.

11 days dpo

Just an update, I tested again today! (promised myself I wouldn’t but here we are!!) and my lines are a lot stronger at 11days DPO. Could end up being nothing .. I’m well aware or could end up finally being a sticky one we will have to wait and see 💕

I’m CD20 today and think I ovulated either yesterday or today. Tried to take a much more chilled approach this month and did the deed every other day rather than every single day! Hoping this approach can be more beneficial to allow the sperm to restore during the rest time.

Yeah, I've started to test twice a day as worried about missing. Also, because fascinated by the science of it all. Will see what happens today. The app is probably throwing a wobbly because I keep checking it so much! HA HA HA. It's the Premom app I'm using. I quite like it. But it's all still quite new to me and I feel like I'm not quite navigating my way round it properly, if that makes sense?

@LuckyDuck93 im not sure if I’ve missed it to be honest cause it was fainter this morning. I’m going to do another tonight to see if it’s got stronger if not ill know peak was probably Sunday. Either way I’m completely out this month timings weren’t right.

@Taysonic which app are you using? Id say probably just a glitch, if my opks are faint it usually moves ovulation back a couple of days, mine are always faint & then I have a really quick peak, so usually only raised for a couple of days, I normally find the peak easier if I test twice a day during ovulation week

Yeah, it's definitely 'go' time for lots of us with synced up fertile windows!

CD13 for me today, but just went to check the PreMom app and all predictions around ovulation and fertile window have disappeared? Not sure if it's just a glitch or if it thinks my test results are rubbish and so doesn't think I'm due a peak? I don't know.

I've been speculating like mad at home which I know probably isn't a good thing or healthy but I guess I'm just desperate for that better understanding of what's happening so I can feel more prepared? I don't know. I'm a bit 'all or nothing' when it comes to most things.

Ahh enjoy your reunion with OH @Mama09876! Annoyingly, I've got essentially a dissertation to write this week (because I'm an idiot and left it to the last minute) so I'll be chained to my laptop most evenings, but hoping a bit of ba-doinking will be a good motivator and relaxant! 😂

@Mama09876 glad to hear you're feeling more chilled, sounds like its exactly what you needed! That definitely looks like you're just coming up to peak.

I'm CD 12, app says ovulation due CD15, OPKs still really faint, but then im sure I have this panic every month & it just peaks really quick😅

Hey ladies! Glad to see people in the fertile window! I have been very chilled this weekend, haven’t bothered BBT and only done one OPK on Friday then couldn’t be bothered this weekend cause OH hasn’t been home so thought what’s the point 😂

Came home yesterday but honestly I have no drive to do anything about trying this month but I know we’ll DTD tonight as we haven’t seen each other for a 5 days so I thought I’ll just see what the OPK are looking like. My app says I’m on CD14 and ovulating today. I think I probably have cause my mucus has been really low and none existent now, but my test is below. It still look like it could the day before peak? So now I’m thinking maybe I haven’t missed it. Or maybe it was yesterday and this is showing the line getting fainter?

Either way we’ll try tonight and see what happens!

@Taysonic glad to hear bbt & opk is going well, we started SMEP but did CD 7 &9 instead of 8 & 10, going to start every other day from now, OPK still really low but I usually have a really quick peak, so ovulation still due on friday for now.

I am 10 days DPO and have had these lines this morning! I wasn’t expecting anything but I just knew!

Background story - (sorry this may be triggering to some ladies).

I had 3 miscarriages last year, 2 around 6/7 weeks and 1 at 11 weeks that was a mmc and actually stopped growing at 9 weeks. Tests all done, nothing wrong with any of us just apparently bad luck. So we decided to have a break and rest since last July and decided to try again without any stress on us this time so here we are…

I cant feel happy or excited yet as I know how this could end but just keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky one this time :)

@Taysonic 13dpo so looks like I’m definitely on track for another normal length cycle so feeling pretty good about that. Though at the same time ready to just get onto next month now.

It’s definitely really interesting learning more about your cycles. I’m not currently tracking bbt because I was starting to stress myself out but actually started tracking when I wasn’t ttc because I wanted to understand what was going on in my body more

That sounds promising @xTinkerbell! I am quite looking forward to being able to know more about my own cycle through OPKing and BBTing.

Not much to report from my end... just getting into the swing of things with OPKing and BBTing. Finding it really interesting so far, and looking forward to seeing how things change over the coming week. Since putting my OPK results in the PreMom app, it keeps bringing forward my expected ovulation date which I'm fascinated by! It previously estimated ovulation for next Saturday, and now it's saying Wednesday. Can't wait to see what it actually ends up being and how accurate the predictions are.
