Exactly 2 weeks late now, haven't done a test for a few days as don't see much point really, but being 2 weeks late bit weird isn't it?

Saying that though dh & i have had a couple of nights of romantic behaviour since lol .

Impatient as i am, i thought i will act daft and ring early to see if the results were back, she said nothing is showing on the computer so to phone tomorrow now!

This is seriously doing my head in now!

Squack · 20/05/2008 11:17

I think that with an annovulatory cycle you can bleed abnormally for want of a better word mid-way through the cycle. Attila is a better person to seek advice from on that score.

The OPK's are hard to read unless they're the digital ones. I wouldn't go back to the interpret yourself ones tbh. An LH surge is usually predicted 12-48hours before Ovulation, but if you have interpret the lines yourself you can extend that I guess.

Good luck for the results!

Are you deciding to ttc now anyway with all this broo-har from the last month?

pucca · 20/05/2008 11:08

I know that OPKs get darker leading up to ov, but on CD 8?? as i have said earlier, from past experience i ov later on, more like CD 18.

pucca · 20/05/2008 11:07

Well, i will just have to see what the doctor says later on.

stuarts · 20/05/2008 11:02

this is what happens to my OPKs in the few days leading up to ovulation, they gradually get darker

artichokes · 20/05/2008 10:07

I have been away from this thread for a while but to see the mystery is as yet unsolved. Just wanted to say that I get positive OPKs for about 9 days of my cycle which is apparantly not unusual.

Meeely2 · 20/05/2008 10:06

tis all very strange pucca I must admit - and I am waiting with baited breath for your results between 2 and 4.....better than any bbc drama this!

pucca · 20/05/2008 09:54

Would i go 8 weeks without ov-ing though??

I don't have problem cycles at all normally, when TTC with my dd and ds, i used OPKs and the first month of using them, got pos, had sex once = pregnant!

pucca · 20/05/2008 09:51

Morning!

Got to phone between 2 and 4pm, so bit more waiting yet.

I have just done another OPK and it is stronger than the others

Just put a pic on to show you....

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/05/2008 09:12

Do you normally get BFP's/feel pregnant with a anovulatory cycle? (Don't know much about them TBH)

And would you get a OV surge for more than 24 hours on an OPK? (Don't know much about them either!! LOL)

Squack · 20/05/2008 08:46

do you know I think it could be that you have actually had an anovulatory type cycle and that you are O'ing now.

If the test from the gp's is -ve I bet you get your period in 2 weeks.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 20/05/2008 07:50

Morning all

pucca · 19/05/2008 14:11

Yes i have, the top pic is an OPK the other one is a pg test.

This has been going on a while, as i having been getting faint BFP/negs for a couple of weeks.

nappyaddict · 19/05/2008 14:08

oh i didn't realise you hadn't tested using a pregnancy test.

pucca · 19/05/2008 14:00

NA... OPK are ovulation tests and HPT are home pregnancy tests.

nappyaddict · 19/05/2008 13:57

what are opks and hpts?

pucca · 19/05/2008 13:33

There is also this from FF here

cece · 19/05/2008 13:30

pucca

this is from peeonastick.com

Can I use an OPK instead of an HPT to detect pregnancy?
Check out the OPK-as-HPT section for a detailed answer. The short answer is: an OPK will turn positive if pregnancy hormone is present, but there are many reasons an OPK could be positive. To be sure, you should use an HPT to detect pregnancy and an OPK to detect ovulation. Mixing and matching can get your hopes up.

There is more info on the website but it was quite long, but you may want to look it up.

pucca · 19/05/2008 13:29

Lulu...That is the question

Lulumama · 19/05/2008 13:28

there are definitely lines on them, but if they are not HPTs, how accurate are they in terms of detecting HCG?

pucca · 19/05/2008 13:26

Sorry i got mixed up then (i wonder why lol)

Proper period on the 25th March, and light period for 2 days on the 12th May.

Lulumama · 19/05/2008 13:18

no, NJ, not seen LG&Ts news... i wonder what it could be ?

nappyaddict · 19/05/2008 12:52

if this comes back negative ask for an internal scan.

pucca · 19/05/2008 12:40

NA...Thats the thing, if i am i would either be 8 weeks or 4 weeks. My last proper period was 25th March, then i had a 2 day light bleed on the 4th May.

nappyaddict · 19/05/2008 12:37

if you were pregnant how far gone would you be now? i know someone who was still testing negative at 16 weeks!!
