Exactly 2 weeks late now, haven't done a test for a few days as don't see much point really, but being 2 weeks late bit weird isn't it?

Saying that though dh & i have had a couple of nights of romantic behaviour since lol .

what happened ?

Meeely2 · 22/05/2008 13:38

stuarts, think those are her OPK tests, the preg ones have been removed.

stuarts · 22/05/2008 13:33

If th picture on your profile now is the most recent one then I can very clearly see quite a strong line on both of those tests

Lulumama · 22/05/2008 12:48

i think you can safely assume you are not pregnant now, wait for your period and restart the pill tehn. you have just had an odd cycle. it can happen

YouWillBeDeleted · 22/05/2008 12:45

Very true. You've nagged me into it :-) will give the doctors a call this afternoon although the first appointment wont be for a few weeks! Terrible doctors but because they have turned all the local gp practices into one huge centre there is no where to change too.

PinkTulips · 22/05/2008 10:41

speaking as a serial procrastinator when it come to gp visits, go soon. i've ended up so much sicker a couple of times because i put off going.

better to go now and be told there's nothing wrong than to put it off for months and be told it would have been a simple problem but now it's serious.

YouWillBeDeleted · 21/05/2008 11:51

PinkTulips - I keep meaning to go to the doctors and not quite getting round to it. I will go though, probably have some hormonal thing going on.

Squack · 21/05/2008 10:53

I can't see anything either.

I think you'll get your period in 2 weeks.

beaniesteve · 21/05/2008 10:39

I can't see a line.

NatalieJane · 21/05/2008 10:20

Pucca, sorry have missed this, shit hit the fan...

I also can't believe he won't do a blood test.

If I were you, I'd be changing GP's pretty sharpish.

PinkTulips · 21/05/2008 10:18

pucca, just looked at your profile.

hate to say it but i see a line more clearly on those rom today than i could on the ones the other day

PinkTulips · 21/05/2008 10:16

surely it's a sign of some underliying medical problem if your cycle buggers up to that extent YWBD (love the name by the way)

have you seen a doc about it and had a smear done?

YouWillBeDeleted · 21/05/2008 01:11

It sounds a little like my cycles have been lately. I get lots of symptoms from around day 18 - 24 (sore boobs, nauseas etc) then 2 days of light bleeding, then nothing until day 43ish when i ovulate and then my period arrives on day 55. First time it happened i was convinced i was pregnant and spent a fortune on tests but this is the 3rd cycle in a row the same now so i'm used to it.

nappyaddict · 21/05/2008 00:47

can't believe they only did a dip test - you can do that yourself!! wait for 2 weeks and if still no period then demand a blood test.

pucca · 20/05/2008 22:58

I dunno PT,

I did another test today, pretty sure its neg, have put a pic in profile AGAIN, god damn.

Just wanna get back on my pill, where all is safe and normal lol.

PinkTulips · 20/05/2008 19:49

bugger pucca, can't believe he won't do a blood test. i mean whatever is going on certainly isn't a normal cycle.

fingers crossed you're back to normal soon though, if you did lose a preg and ov'ed in the last week you should have a period in the next 2 weeks.

pill can't harm a baby even if you are can it? i mean it's the same hormones as a preg releases into your system so can't be much harm in starting now if you want (feel free to correct me, have never taken the pill myself so probably talking out of my ass!)

Meeely2 · 20/05/2008 16:16

if i came off the pill in the past, i would always go back on it again on the first day of next period so that i knew i was covered from day 1. maybe if you just stop thinking about it all and distract yourself somehow your next period will happen as normal and you can go back on the pill.

pucca · 20/05/2008 16:02

Meeely2...Thats really sweet of you, i will see what goes on the next few days, may email you later on if i need to test again if thats ok?

I now just want to get back on my pill, so should i just take it again?

Not going to TTC, not after all this, has just reminded me how fecking stressful it all is, and i seriously cannot be doing all this again, i am bankcrupt from buying bloody tests

Meeely2 · 20/05/2008 15:58

pucca, do you need anymore hpt? i have some strips, identical to your opk's but for preg that i got off ebay - I am TTC, but can spare a couple if you want some to save for later on if AF still don't show up when you expect it next?

emclayton AT yahoo DOT com if you want them....

pucca · 20/05/2008 15:48

I rang again, spoke to the doctor and it was neg, they only did a dip type test

Who knows

The thing is i want to go back on my pill so what do i do?

I asked about a blood test and he said no just wait to see if i miss my next period.

stuarts · 20/05/2008 15:47

any news yet?

nappyaddict · 20/05/2008 14:46

it's 2:45 - have you rung yet? you were supposed to find out between 2 and 4 weren't you?

mags98 · 20/05/2008 12:05

Sorry missed you last post while typing this one. If you can get the results of the one you did yesterday this afternoon try phoning later, not tomorrow) then great. If not, as above, just do one yourself.

mags98 · 20/05/2008 12:03

When did you last do a home PT?

Rather than doing lots of OPKs (which are rather meaningless and can give false results if you have recently been pregnant or think you might be) then just do a PT. It is the answer to that you need to know, not the OPK. The home ones are just as sensitive as the ones the hospital use.

If your home PT is definitely negative then it is unlikely to be anything to worry about. Chances are that you had a very early pregnancy that did not continue, miscarried and are no longer pregnant. If it is positive or if there is any doubt about if it is positive or negative, then you need further assessment and rather than just repeating another urine PT at the GP then what you need is a blood test.

I really would not bother doing any more OPKs until after your next period, you are just wasting money and getting false/meaningless results. When I had my first miscarriage I started using the OPKs at about 3 weeks afterwards and they showed positive for weeks and weeks even after I had my next period.

Disenchanted · 20/05/2008 11:53

Don't phone tomorrow, phone again at about 3pm.

FWIW i don't think the OPKs mean anything, LH is different to HCG and just because they can detect HCG doesn't mean thats whats happening here, could just be LH,

Its not unsual to OV so early or late, I got pregnant this time round about CD23 i think!
