I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

@SCK2024 That could be why 😂

Supplements wise, I’m finding naitre has lengthened my luteal phase and improved my ewcm quite a lot. It’s so expensive but it does seem to have the right amounts of good stuff in it.

I might try guaifenesin (cough syrup) next cycle, I’ve read a lot of anecdotal stories about success with that.

Not heard of Naitre?
I’ve done some reading on supplements, still unsure which to go with.
mixed reviews on most of them.

i don’t want one changing my cycle as its perfect 21-26 regular 2/3days long.

dont want to feel bloated either.

ive seen lots of vegan supplements (im not a vegan) but i thought they would be more natural, but so confused as i want all the vitamins inc such as
ubiquinol
Vit d
Folic
B12
Coq10
Omega 3
Zinc
especially

@SCK2024 Are you getting proceive and pre seed mixed up?! 😂😂

SCK2024 · 18/01/2025 16:46

ONLY JUST REALISED! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

when we have been using lube toys/sex
the lube has not been sperm friendly!

I am starting to think that’s why it hasn’t been happening! 😩🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve just read the line we have been using has sperm mortality! 🫠 didn’t think it was an actual thing!

Still… AF not arrived yet!

I was taking Cytoplan Pregna- Plan prenatal supplements. Having a change when they run out in just under 2 weeks and going to start on the Proceive that a lot of women rave about. I take omega 3 capsules and not long started taking Ubiquinol. Hopefully it will all help! 🤞

I am on CD 24 with 8 ish days to go until AF.

I fell pregnant in September and had a missed miscarriage. I had an evacuation at the end of November. They tested the tissue and found it to be a partial molar which was a big shock.

Trying to be as healthy as possible at the moment. With a few naughty shacks here and there! 😝

Out of interest what supplements are you ladies taking?

None eyes but researching which are the best any ideas? ✨

Can I join please?

attempting to conceive my 3rd and my DH’s first. I’m 40 soon and he’s 43.

we’ve had back to back miscarriages (3) with the last one leading to me losing excessive amounts of blood, transfusions, retained products, the works!

that left me very traumatised so we had a break of a few months but we’ve had nothing in the last few months of trying again

my period is currently 5 days late but all tests negative. I’m worried this means I’m heading into perimenopause and it won’t happen for us 😢

sorry to hear about all of your struggles too

Hi ladies.

I am trying for my 4th currently. I had a miscarriage in June and another one in November 😩 I am 40 in March.

Let's hope this next couple of months is lucky for us all 🍀 xx

Sorry @BabyBorn, I didn’t mean to quote you on that post.

Fingers crossed for you. I’m 40 in September. We’ll get there 😊

We managed another baby dance last night so 🤞😂

Just as a thought for anyone else data collecting - I’m certain that Flo has had me on the wrong track for the last few months. Premom had me ovulating on CD14 after my LH peak on CD13, however, my BBT didn’t rise until this morning (CD17) so I think I ovulated yesterday or day before (CD 15-16) which was 48-72 hours after my LH peak and a good couple of days after my peak symptoms (mittelschmerz, egg white mucus).
Flo had my ovulation as CD13, previous months it seemed accurate due to that coinciding with strongest symptoms but it would have had me thinking ovulation was over so we didn’t need to try on those later days had I relied on that this cycle.

In short, despite the apps being useful, by combining my OPK results, own bodily feelings and symptoms and BBT, I think this cycle is the first that I have an accurate ovulation day.

Baby dust to everyone 💖

Sadly today I am back to day(square) one 😭.
The termination has left me with a short luteal phase :(
I had the perfect 28 cycle before.
I expect next ovulation in 2 weeks.

I know i will never recover from the termination. 15 months later I cry every day.

I cry still 17yrs later even with my now son (10yrs)
It doesn’t leave you sadly not for me anyway.
I said I’d never go through it all over again and regrettably I did last year, but again for the right reasons (skin cancer)
Its shit, but feels worse this time because I shamelessly did it when I really wanted to keep the baby but it was a dark time then.
i carry guilt & think because of my age that it won’t happen again.

i hope it will ❤️✨
for us both x

I wouldn't buy the pregnacare ones, I have been told they aren't good at all, full of lots of fillers. Inessa ones are good quality apparently, I've just started them a week ago.

Thankyou I’ll look into them 🫶🏼

For best quality pregnancy/conceiving pills go to NHP (natural health practise). They aren't cheap but very high quality. You can take the same ones pre pregnancy, during and after.

To get pregnant I swear by conceive+ lube. It helps sperm motility and takes them on a nice journey to where they need to go.

Helped me both times and a colleague confided in me she was struggling and I recommended that and it worked for her.

I am also trying a year after a termination. Still not in terms with what I did but we are ready now. I am 39 on Tuesday. Have tried for 2 cycles.

same situation 😓
38 this year actively TTC using apps and ovulation kits past 4/5.

Just spoken to my GP asked if she could request blood tests ready for me for next week when I am due on so it’s good timing!
Actual GP appt 28th but wanted to get the ball rolling sooner.

I can do the bloods done at my practice so I’m lucky in that sense.

GP mentioned as I have x1 child (10) and my partner has x2 we wouldn’t qualify for IVF on the NHS but positive that we both have been able to conceive (in a positive way) so bitter sweet, wish we hadn’t decided on termination but it was the best decision at the time.

bloods being done: (between cycle day 1-3)
Full blood count
ferritin
folate
b12
LH
FSH
Thyroid
Prolacton
Creative Protein count (CRP)
progesterone (cycle day 21)

REALLY REALLY wishing AF is a BFP next week, but all sensitive tests have been negative 🫠

Going to buy some pregnacare preconception supplements next week too.

got to keep positive 🫶🏼✨✨✨

DPO 13 tomorrow!

Hi, hope it’s ok to jump on, I’m 37 TTC my 2nd child, first is nearly 7 years old. We have been trying for a few months now, periods are usually like clockwork (26-28 days) but this month i didn’t come on, tested and got a faint positive on a few tests but the digital tests said not pregnant. Today I have started to bleed had really bad stomach pains (which I don’t usually get either) I have tested again today and it’s still showing a faint positive, so maybe having a chemical pregnancy or maybe just feeling worse because I’m now a week late.

SCK2024 · 17/01/2025 13:57

I’ve just called my GP to ask them if they will accept my blood bottles if I bring them in next week as new cycle due then.
as my GP appt to discuss fertility isn’t until the following Tuesday 28th.
I’m certain it’s between cycle day 1-3 for blood levels.
fingers crossed I don’t get to that stage and I have a happy result in the next few days but feeling doubtful today 😢✨ x

what bloods do they check on fertility or shall I request? X

What is this app?
is it cheap? And/comes with sticks ?
x

It’s Premom and easy@home tests. I have said if I don’t have much luck with them then I will try the clear blue digital ones maybe.

sorry about your BFN this morning. You’re still in though so fingers crossed for you. You’ve got a few hopeful symptoms so fingers crossed and baby dust

SCK2024 · 17/01/2025 13:18

I am actually 12dpo today 🤦🏻‍♀️ getting confused updating.
we can symptom share 🙂🫶🏼
Weird dream last night, nothing new with me there though 😌
still 🍉🍉 tender, bloated feeling but not puffy bloated as such until I eat (slim build)
Tested BFN this morning 😓✨

It is so annoying isn’t it. Fingers crossed for you this cycle. It can put alot of pressure on them. Keep us posted if you try an insemination kit though.

That’s interesting you say about drinking a lot of water, I’m the same. Although I read that you should continue water in take as normal? See I’m so confused lol.

my highest reading this month was as below. But it’s saying my predicted ovulation day is today. But I’m thinking my peak would of been CD13?

It’s really is a journey, I fell pregnant accidentally around 18 months ago and couldn’t continue the pregnancy at that time. So now that I’m having to properly try, it really stings but, ce la vie, we’ll get there.

The OPKs are tricky. I never get a true positive because I drink lots of water so my highest is usually 0.8 but the pattern shows that it’s my peak and ties in with my ov symptoms too. Although the over thinking makes it all the more difficult 😂
We tried to do SMEP this cycle but partner has had some pain and tbh he’s really feeling the stress of ttc so we skipped the last one. Just hoping we got the timing right when we did manage.
Might try an insemination kit next cycle if we’re don’t get there this one to take some pressure off for him.
