I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs. I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃 We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃 Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles. today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW. what is everyone else’s story 🌟

Yhats crazy about your short cycles though. Glad it’s always been normal for you!

brilliant that OH is more “free” next week for nookie! Ha ha. My husband came home this morning for the last try since my OPk was so high! Ha ha. Xx

I’m on day 34 with no peak still. Considering weaning again 😬. Or at least reducing feeds

We are trying to BD every other day but because he fell asleep night before last it’s wonked things up abit 😂😂 We’ve not long BDed today 😆 so think we’ve definitely given it enough chances this past week. My OPK was darker than the control panel first this morning so I’ve reached my peak I think. Will test again a little later. Just lying down for half an hour now to try and keep as much in as I can 😆🥴😂

Gosh your AF is short isn’t it @SCK2024do you bleed for 3 days and spot a bit for a few days after? At least it’s over now and you can get excited about ovulation approaching!

I can’t lie down for long which is why I got the fertility cups works magic, well to keep it in 😂

Yeh short cycles! 2/3 days and completely stops, 3rd day today and don’t need to use anything, lucky I suppose, always been that way, no changes.

So yes I’ll start OPK tomorrow 1.44! Very good and my god it’s dark!!!! I’m feeling very positive for you this month! 😁❤️🫶🏼

OH is off his night shifts now so good timing this cycle for when the fertile week comes 🫶🏼
Got the Fertility nurse calling me on Tuesday, haven’t a clue what she is I’ll ask? Does anyone know?

Hi 👋 Im okay. Saw a gorgeous wriggly baby on my 12 week scan last week which was wonderful. Had the awful call that I’m very high risk for Edwards & Patau due to age, low papp-a (had in last pregnancy and he was fine), and HCG on the lower side of normal. Had the NIPT and just waiting and hoping for the best while feeling beside myself with worry (and in no mood for those vile pro-lifer ghouls who stalk the forums 😂)

I haven’t experienced clearblue tests much as heard lots about evaps… well with the pregnancy tests anyway and being expensive.

i did however by the battery smiley one when first starting out to get the smiley but the cheap strips and uploading them on pre mom shows your fertile window a lot more accurately!! The clear blue just show your peak only.

id suggest trying them as you have them, hoping you get lucky this cycle but if not use the cheapies and Premom app to get your full window running up to and after peak to get full coverage of BD and chances 🫶🏼✨

Yes I added it on Premom and it read it as 55 so I should ovulate within 24 hours. I feel it every month when the follicle burst though 😩 so I will let you know when it happens! 😂😂

I don’t let me DH know any of this. He knows I’ve been on mumsnet for over 20 years 🥴 but has no idea that I post on here!! 😂😂 Lovely to have the support, especially at our age! Ha ha x

The ovulation tests I’ve heard are good but very pricey, but depends what people think is pricey I guess. I’ve never used them so have no idea at all. Tho on cheat anyway because I feel ovulation so don’t really need to test, I just like to 😂😂🥴😂😂

I know the clear blue pregnancy tests have bad reps for evaporation lines but not sure if it’s the same for the ovulation tests! X

You are welcome @PalmTreeAngel I haven’t used the clear blue ones if I’m honest, maybe someone else that has will come along and help. What I do know is that the clear blue ovulation kits are expensive!

Yes, I started using them with the app cycle just gone, really really helpful to find you peak as the app reads it for you and tells you.

It’s easy to follow!

we will be tracking the same my AF came yday so starting to opk on Friday my cycles are short and AF only lasts 2/3days always have done.
