I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

Thanks @SCK2024

@FlyHighSky72

These are from my last 2 cycles anyway, you can see on the evening it looks slightly lighter, as my urine would have been more diluted.
i really don’t drink enough also x

I’m sort of regretting using OPKs - they’re really stressing me out! How can my LH be this low and going down

Hi Fly,

personally, I would test in the morning, your urine might be too diluted could be one of the reasons. You may of missed your peak might be another reason.
thirdly some women get 2 peaks, your peak might be yet to come.

OH is wanting to BD every night at the min, just in general, I can’t keep up!!! 😆🤣

I forgot to test my OPK this morning so will do one after work.
Mine is still faint (yday) so I’ll post how it looks later on for you I am CD9 today x

Thanks @SCK2024ill try starting earlier with the OPKs next month! This is my first month trying and cycles are 28 days. I’ve no idea when I ovulate - I usually get EWCM but haven’t paid attention to exactly when in my cycle as have had a coil and so haven’t needed to!! I think it’s not impossible it’s still to come and I noticed a bit more CM today - not egg white but maybe moving that way so fingers crossed I ovulate over the bank holiday as can get lots of BD-ing in then Grin! How about you?

Thanks @SCK2024- pretty similar situation here! Same age and similar age child!! Been BD every 2-3 days since the end of my period - I’m on CD14 today so all the apps thought id ovulate today but no sign of it! Only started using OPKs on Tuesday this week (eg CD12) and the line has barely changed! Wondering if I missed it!?! No clue! Think I’ll just keep BD every other day - maybe more over the bank holiday weekend (as also child free) and hope we catch it! Argh! So stressful

You may of missed it lovely, I am no expert! Wish I was!
however if you have been BDing ever other days since AF you have definitely covered all bases! So I wouldn’t worry too much.
My always start testing at CD 6 that is when I notice my 2 lines then peak is usually around CD 10/12
how long are your cycles & been trying for?
mine are 22-26days. ✨

Hey girls!
the famous….. I’m back!!! 😂🫠

May cycle (CD7)
OVK started yday I have my lines visible but not dark yet, fertile week definitely starts today I think Sat/Sunday is I’ll be my peak.

feeling positive and hopeful this month! Both me and OH are child free and not working this weekend, the sun is shining, which always brings out the happiness! 😊

@FlyHighSky72 Keep testing! It’s definitely getting darker! So start bouncing! Your peak should be (I think) 4/5days from now of it gradually gets darker, but I’d say it’s the beginning of your fertile week.

@curliegirlie How are you?

we have a good few newbies so hello! 👋 😊😊

FlyHighSky72 · 30/04/2025 09:23

Sorry to hear @Mummysparrowand @curliegirlie- I have an older child from a previous relationship and count myself as very lucky that I conceived her first try and had no issues. Very worried this time around though as I’m ten years older and with a new partner!! Fingers crossed for all of us

Mummysparrow · 30/04/2025 09:22

@curliegirlie oh god, it really does seem that way 😬 maybe it is something about bad health in Feb/march time 🤷
I am about to ovulate again and then back into the dreaded 2ww. Oh how I haven't missed a 2ww. On the plus side my cycles seems to have settled to a nice 28 day cycle since my surgery which makes timing BD a lot easier as my cycles used to be anywhere from 29 to 35 days

curliegirlie · 30/04/2025 09:08

@Mummysparrow what is it about November?! Both my MCs would have been November babies, I had a CP in November 2023, and last November my best friend fell pregnant but had to terminate as they in the position to have another child. March and November seem to be terrible, terrible months!

FlyHighSky72 · 29/04/2025 23:01

Does anyone take low dose aspirin (75mg)? If so where do you buy it??

Mummysparrow · 29/04/2025 21:45

@curliegirlie it's hard isn't it. My colleague is pregnant and she got pregnant within a few months of coming off the pill and due in October. The baby I lost last year would have been a November baby. It is all just too close to home.
I should be in my fertile window on the basis of my last 3 cycles and then the dreaded 2ww. Thankfully since my surgery my cycles are more regular so hopefully the timing it right. But I dunno I just don't want to get my hopes up as I know the chance is big that I will be seeing a negative again in a few weeks

curliegirlie · 29/04/2025 16:59

I didn't really mean the angry face but just sometimes it would be nice to have just a tiny slice of other people's good luck. I thought I was finally there last month - but noooo, just got two and a half weeks of false hope....

curliegirlie · 29/04/2025 16:56

@FlyHighSky72 hard to know whether that's the start of a surge or not, but keep on testing!

@Mummysparrow it's miserable isn't it? I've not had a TFMR, but have had two MCs - one in March 2022 and another exactly 3 years later (to the day!) last month. I've just found out that my line manager's line manager's wife is expecting again and due in September. Their first is about 14 months old. I'm willing to bet they have been TTC and managed to have two kids all in the space of time that I've been failing to have DC3 😩😠

FlyHighSky72 · 29/04/2025 16:19

Looks good to me @SophieP89! It’s hard to keep positive I know @Mummysparrow- I’m 36

Mummysparrow · 29/04/2025 15:00

Hey👋
I have been TTC child number 2 since December 2024. I initially got pregnant in February 2024 but this ended in a TFMR in May due to a fatal diagnosis. Ever since the loss I have been struggling to conceive. I had surgery to remove stage 4 endometriosis (which I had no idea I had) and my c section scar defect was removed and resewn. These alone can cause issues conceiving so I am really hoping that I will have no issues going forward. However I was 34 when I started trying and turn 36 in just over a month. I am kind of losing hope

SophieP89 · 29/04/2025 13:02

This is the ovulation test I've had today, I would say it looks positive? It's very hard to get a decent photo of the lines but in real life they look exactly the same.
I've also had twinges and mild pain in my left side so I do think my body is about to ovulate.
Feeling some sort of relief that something appears to be happening.

FlyHighSky72 · 29/04/2025 10:13

@curliegirliehere is todays! I know it’s not positive but it’s the start of the surge right? (There was nothing on there yesterday)

35yrs + and trying ✨🫶🏼
FlyHighSky72 · 28/04/2025 17:48

@curliegirliethanks! That’s helpful - so basically I should keep testing once a day and hopefully I’ll see it get darker (when I then might need to do more than one a day to catch the peak)

SophieP89 · 28/04/2025 17:13

@curliegirlieI think i tested negative around 10 days after miscarriage and I have been using ovulation tests ever since. The tests have got much darker since this morning so I'm hoping my peak is close, fingers crossed!

curliegirlie · 28/04/2025 16:42

Yep - my general baseline is what PreMom classes as about 0.13 ratio, but sometimes I struggle to see the other line at all. Then the surge or peak will comes whenever it comes (as I said, for me currently this happens very quickly and can be easy to miss), and you also might also see slightly darker lines just before AF and in the early days of your cycle.
