Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

@firstlittleone hello and welcome! There's a few things that could be going on here. Your body may not have actually ovulated the first time so it's trying again now. Sometimes the LH tests pick up HCG as well as LH but at 6dpo its too early for HCG. They also can rise before your period is due. How long is your luteal phase normally?

Hi all,
new to the thread but I’m hoping to find some comfort around other TTC friends!!
I’m currently 6 DPO, heavy cramping but did have an examination yesterday.
decided to do a LH test this evening and it’s looking darker than before ovulation? Any help?
(the 0.48 is pre ovulation)

@Popping13 0.23 wouldn't be considered that high. My peak was usually over 1.0. I would continue to test for a few days after my peak just to confirm ovulation. Do you do BBT? That's a great way to confirm ovulation has definitely happened. I didn't personally cause of wake ups with a toddler but lots of people swear by it.

What sort of blood test are you having @EmCha?

I did OPKs but I don’t think I did it correctly - i had a s “surge” of like 0.23 on day 10 and then it went down again. Then had cramps and typical ovulation symptoms on day 14. So I’m not 💯, but guessing the CP will have had an impact?

CD1 today. this last cycle was 30 days as opposed to my 28 days cycle.

@Popping13 aww, I'm sorry to hear that. Did you track ovulation other than feeling cramping? What CD are you today?

@EmCha Yes - I did a test this morning and it was negative but no sign of AF either!
I’ve looked through my app notes again and I’m logged cramping at day 13/14, so I guessing that would have been ovulation?

so idk why the negative at 3 days late?

@Popping13 it's a very anxious time. But everybody tells me that all the baby stuff just comes back to you. I've wondered how I'll manage with two but I also wondered how I'd manage with one and here I am, managing. You'll be more than capable and you'll do a great job.

@SureLook ideally I don’t want AF to come - I am just really nervous about the test and also the future. Just getting really anxious thinking if I’ll be able to manage it all.
my daughter is 5 autistic, and I feel like I’ve forgotten everything from baby days. I don’t even know what’s going on in my head 😒

@EmCha ring them as soon as you can and try to rearrange it. Ah, sorry. I was hoping it might have been implantation bleeding.

@EmCha aww, I'm sorry. It probably was the illness throwing things off. What day are you meant to do the bloods? Also is it definitely AF?

It’s booked for Tuesday which will be a day too late for accurate results so I need to try and change it to any morning before then. Yes it’s red blood, not pink or brown. 😢

Thanks but AF has just arrived! I’m shocked because I’m only 9DPO but assuming the illness has messed up all my hormones. 😭 I need to change my blood test now but wondering if everything will be out of whack now.

I was feeling so hopeful this month but this virus is causing chaos. I’m so disappointed, AF due in three days.

hey, you never know - maybe the illness was so you can take your mind off everything else.

I'm due on today, but so nervous to test as I don’t want to see a negative.
I’ve not have any symptoms whatsoever in the last 2 weeks.
complete opposite of a serial tester 😪

@EmCha try not to count yourself out just yet. I've heard of lots of people getting pregnant while ill. Let's see what the next few days brings x

I’m CD 26 today, typical cycle is 28
days.
I have had no symptoms whatsoever this time around, and nothing different.
Wasnt quite with it mentally this cycle so didn’t stress; given the chemical I wasn’t sure of how things would be either.
lets see what the next couple of days bring.

@EmCha ah, I see. It's probably better to be pain free and for your body to be more relaxed and less stressed. So I think taking the paracetamol was a good idea.

had a chemical last month and I’m not sure when I’ve ovulated this cycle - also feels like the longest 2ww.
