@MyGardenDaisies thank you lovely.

@Kateb149 thanks lovely! I do have another FRER but not sure I see the point in wasting it as I got 1-2 weeks on CB digital on Sunday so the fact it's negative today and not at least still 1-2 weeks feels like a pretty strong indicator sadly. Just going to wait for AF now - hopefully not too long!!

MyGardenDaisies · 17/12/2024 13:17

Hey! My fertile window is approaching and so the obsessive thoughts are coming in my head a bit and worries about cycle, LP , etc

Looks like I am in the right thread after all ladies...

So I did a CB Digi this morning as was hoping it would show 2-3 weeks now but it actually said 'not pregnant'. So looks like I am actually having a CP 😢 I had half prepared myself given all the mixed results on my tests but given how much stronger my FRER was yesterday I had slightly gotten my hopes up so am pretty gutted to get that result this morning. I just hope AF shows her face quickly so we can get back to trying again!

Oh no i’m so sorry to hear 😕 have you taken any other tests today to see if it’s accurate? I know the digital ones aren’t as sensitive sometimes.

Take care of yourself and let us know how you get on x

Not sure I will be "in" after all this January, still waiting on period to show up after coming off the pill, getting horrible headaches (part of pill withdrawal the GP thinks), and we've just got so much going on at the moment that we're being pretty grumpy with each other. Sat down the other night and had a good chat but also agreed (instigated by me, and I still think we're right to do this but I'm miserable about it!) that we shouldn't start TTC until we're in a better place. I'm not expecting that to take long, we're solid in general and it's a lot of external circumstances causing it, but we still need to be better with dealing with tiredness and stress together, before we try and add a baby in!

Sorry to hear that Sofa but I think you’re right, TTC can be taxing enough without trying to do it if you’re already not in the best of places with your partner. Hoping the time off will be good for both of you!

hey everyone,
no idea what’s going on with me! No idea on where my cycle is due to having mirena out, was expecting a bit of a progesterone drop and feeling hormonal due to this but it’s been kinda the opposite.
spotty, nauseous, tender
ive started ovulation tracking to see if that helps me understand what’s going on!

When I had mine out in the summer I had a few weeks of symptoms, mainly a mega three day migraine, and then settled. All has been very consistent since. I was tracking temp from then and it really helped me get a sense of what was going on. Hope it stabilises for you soon!

KittyFantastica · 17/12/2024 11:27

Sorry to see that @MummyV2021 Chemicals are so cruel.

I had some red spotting last night and have had a few low, dull cramps, so just waiting for AF to show up now. She's due Thursday. I'm already impatient. The waiting, waiting, waiting drives me mad. I need another holiday to forget it :(.

Bless you, thank you.
Dig deep and plod on and see what happens!

EEB1989 · 16/12/2024 18:35

Thank you to everyone who responded re ovulation tests.
I’ve started testing today CD10, currently 0.13. I’ll keep testing once a day until closer to when I think it is (CD14-16) I’ll up it to twice a day on those days. Hopefully I’ll catch my peak this weekend.

SarahB88 · 16/12/2024 17:31

Matildahoney · 16/12/2024 17:21

@SarahB88 31 day cycle, but I'd ovulated by day 11 as I had a scan that day and she could see I'd already ovulated. Good luck.

Ah that’s really interesting to know. I’m just going to have to keep testing and waiting for AF I think.

Marvelftw · 16/12/2024 16:31

No real updates from me except to say I’ve been experiencing some cramping over the last few days and today there has been a thicker discharge than usual. I feel like these signs are pointing to my period starting soon (following my usual cycle on the pill it should be coming in a week and a half) which shows me that my calculations were off now I’ve stopped the pill.

Feeling at least good that I can now proceed with knowing my correct cycle!

SarahB88 · 16/12/2024 16:06

Matildahoney · 16/12/2024 14:53

@MummyV2021 I didn't get a bfp with #1 until 5 days after my period was due.

@blackberryhill hopefully the same happens for you again!

How long was your cycle do you know? My period is late but still no BFP, I don’t even have any feelings that AF is on the way.

Although someone’s posted a test on the December thread and people are saying they can see a line on it and it looks like my tests that I’ve put in the bin because I didn’t think they were positive 🙈

CoolSummer89 · 16/12/2024 14:06

Sounds very promising @blackberryhill, always nice to have reassurance.

Have heard a few times on here that people are more fertile after hycosy, do we know why that is? I don't know what it is, is it just looking for blockages?

Yes, HyCoSy is intended to check for blocked tubes - from what I gather, they basically thread a catheter through your cervix and then flush a contrast dye through your tubes to see if it appears out the other side (the consultant showed me on the monitor whilst he was doing it, was interesting to see it flowing!)

I don't know that there's a definitive answer as to whether people are genuinely more fertile post-HyCoSy (study results seem to vary) or if they are why that might be - there are some theories about it clearing minor debris out so they move more smoothly, but they are only theories. That said, for the sake of a comparatively small amount of money (in fertility clinic terms), an hour of my time and some minor discomfort, I was very happy to give it a go!)

blackberryhill · 16/12/2024 13:25

HyCoSy all done without any dramas - tubes were clear (not a surprise given they were clear last time) and was pleased to hear from the doctor that my lining is 'perfect' as I've always been worried that it's too thin as I have very light periods. Was definitely a little more uncomfortable than the last time I had it done, but nothing that I couldn't handle.

It was the same doctor as did it back when I was TTC #1, so I'm taking that as a good omen. I'd forgotten just how quickly after it had happened last time until he noted that he'd done the last test in Feb 2021 and then asked when DC1 was born - November 2021, 9 months later!

MummyV2021 · 16/12/2024 11:40

Thanks for being so welcoming ladies! Turns out I might not need to be in this group after all... I'm very confused right now! But full story...

I started getting proper squinters on cheapies at 10DPO, got a faint positive on FRER at 12DPO and then got complete negatives on a different cheapie and a CB digital on 13DPO, and again on morning of 14DPO (yesterday).

However, last night I found my other strip tests and got another box of FRER delivered and got a positive! So took a CB digital and that was also positive! I've also taken another FRER this morning and it seems darker.

I'm so confused! Convinced it's a chemical as my levels seems to be fluctuating but it might be the other tests I had just weren't as sensitive. Going to wait a couple of days and take another CB digi and FRER to see if there's progress and then I might start to believe it's happening. So I might need this group I might not. Arrgghh so confusing

Oh @MummyV2021 I'm so sorry that you are going through this uncertainty, it's never a nice place to be! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that it's just early days and that's why the test have been giving different results. Tests using pee can be impacted by so many things (e.g. how hydrated you are), so there could be loads of reasons why you're getting different results on different days!

CoolSummer89 · 16/12/2024 11:42

Hi all,
Since my laptop died I'm finding it harder to reply to these threads, I don't find the app that easy to use, so I have to sneak in little Mumsnet breaks at work.

I'm CD6 today. I'm like @blackberryhill and usually ovulate between CD12-14. So we're going to try on CD8, CD10, CD12 & CD14. It's Christmas party season so not sure how much energy we will have/quality of sperm and eggs 😅

Hi @EEB1989 Over time, I've found out my surge is incredibly fast - like within a half an hour! It also always seems to happen sometime between 10:30 - 11:45. Only thing is, my cycle has some variance of 3-4 days each month now I've had 3 losses, so I've ovulated anywhere between day 9 and day 18. I start testing on day 8 and go through until 2-3 days after I've seen my surge. Once I start to see a bit of a rise, I actually do 2-3 OPKs over the next hour. If I don't, I completely miss it and end up thinking I haven't ovulated. Good luck!
