No pregnancy announcements in our group/family but I think people are either done, just not long had babies or baby is due at the start of 2025.

Looks like the bleeding from my CP is nearly finished so that’s just a couple of days longer than a normal period for me. Looking forward to it being over tbh.

We weren’t going to do OPKs this cycle but my partner has become really interested in the science aspect of it so I think we will. Won’t be stressing about when the peak is coming but will log in premom so he can check out the graphs 😂

Marvelftw · 26/12/2024 09:44

Merry belated Christmas everyone, I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday. So am joining over here from the December thread. After about two weeks of cramping on and off my period has finally started today. I’m not too disappointed though as I figured there’d be an adjustment period after being on the pill for so long. And it’s come 4 weeks after it was meant to which means my periods are still (as they’ve always been) very regular.

Deciding whether to try a OPK just to make sure I am ovulating ok or might give it another cycle. Either way here’s to cycle 2!

8DPO, negative test and my urine progesterone tests are negative, so not sure I ovulated. Think I'm going to see a private consultant in the new year!

Fashionlover123 · 26/12/2024 09:01

@CoolSummer89 me too..when we had a lye in until 9am we were laughing about those with children up at 6am😂😂

CoolSummer89 · 26/12/2024 08:47

Thanks @Fashionlover123 I had a nice chilled Christmas thank you. Was trying to comfort myself that this could be my last one where I'm neither pregnant or have a child, so should enjoy it 😊

Wow that is a big jump up will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Just had a look at my Instagram and not a single pregnancy announcement, perhaps I'm too old now (36 next month)? A lot of first baby Christmases though, which could be painful as I could have had a baby by now but I'm trying not to let it get to me!

Fashionlover123 · 26/12/2024 08:42

hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! 10DPO today. Had a temp drop yesterday to 36.44, today back up to 37.4. LH strip looked darker too…hoping these are positive things!

Merry Christmas!

Anyone else facing pregnancy announcements from acquaintances on Insta? 😄 the envy!!!

Oh yes 😂 announcements from family/friends that stung a bit! One couple though I know have been trying with IVF for many years so I am actually genuinely happy for them.

2DPO today… i’ll be 6DPO on my birthday and the maddest thing is if I woke up feeling nauseous or with implantation bleeding i think i’d be happier than any other birthday i’ve had before 😂

Nicola1988 · 25/12/2024 23:11

On cd 20. 12th month ttc. Positve OPK day 11 and day 12. Several days before fertile window but defo on cd 10, 11, 12, 13, 15 as remebered to mark them in 🤣. I have been very nauseous with painful nipples with some cramps. Not have a bfp the whole year we have been trying. Too pessimistic to get my hopes up as always have been so used to a negative outcome. Would be absolutly over the moon if i was pregnant x

MyGardenDaisies · 25/12/2024 21:04

@Sunshine924 ovulation prediction kits are digital devices that read the ovulation results and display predictions

Can I ask a daft question or two? What's an OPK - I'd assumed that you get tests that you wee on to see if you are ovulating (guessing the strips you are talking about) - do you need to know you are ovulating; or just before - or does that not matter provided it's around the right time?
I've not done any of this previously but the chemical pregnancy this month and how excited then heartbroken I was has made me realise how much I want this and am ready now (previously I've had nagging fears it's too soon) ... So wondering if I need to try and optimise the chances a bit!

@EEB1989 when we saw a fertility consultant, she told us not to use the digital ones, just to use the strips as they're much more reliable!

i’ve also been told the same!

MyGardenDaisies · 24/12/2024 21:51

@Lavenderrose92 I don’t think aspirin is widely recommended unless prescribed by a doctor.

yes mine has been prescribed as i’ve had ectopics and numerous miscarriages, i’l get progesterone too when i next get a positive test 🙏

Merry Christmas!

Anyone else facing pregnancy announcements from acquaintances on Insta? 😄 the envy!!!

I'm the last of my friends to have children (42) but my nephew has announced his girlfriends pregnancy, and my sister in law and her sister are both pregnant, so Feb, May and July babies!

Room4onemore · 25/12/2024 18:38

Hi everyone merry Christmas 🎄

Ive got the dredded bug that’s going around, I haven’t done a test today but mine are not going very high so I don’t know if I should just give up 😢

EEB1989 · 25/12/2024 12:35

@Cinnamonbunn
Yeah I’d recommend using the app, even if it’s just somewhere to keep a log of your tests.
Ive done another cheapie today and it’s 0.97 which I think is my peak, I don’t usually get much higher. So we will DTD to try and catch the egg this month 🤞. Probably a bit TMI but we’re all here for the same thing 😅.

@CoolSummer89
I don’t think they check for oestrogen, they only mention LH. They’re the pink ones that tell you your most 2 fertile days. I didn’t buy them, my friend who has been successful (twice) gave me them as she’s got all the babies she wants.

Let’s hope they work for me this month 🙏.

EEB1989 · 25/12/2024 09:25

Merry Christmas everyone!!
I got a smile today on my clear blue OPK test… but my LH strip is 0.27.
Im CD19, usually peak between 16-18.

Which do I trust? I’ve read the clear blue with the pre mom app and it’s reading at 0.47.

Any advice welcome… I’ll keep cheapie testing throughout the day, try and see if it peaks.

I don't use these but are they the type that measure oestrogen as well as LH? They tend to show positive results earlier than cheaper OPKs because they measure both.

Cinnamonbunn · 25/12/2024 11:25

@EEB1989 ah, it’s so confusing when you introduce something new. I’d probably be DTD for the digital and then again for the cheapie too when you get a positive there.

No I don’t but I’ve heard people mentioning it, would you recommend?

EEB1989 · 25/12/2024 10:21

@Cinnamonbunn
thank you, I’ve no idea if they are, it’s my first month using them. I usually use the cheapies.

Yours certainly looks positive, do you use the pre mom app? That’s how I log mine.

Cinnamonbunn · 25/12/2024 09:40

Merry Christmas everyone!

@EEB1989 im afraid I can the of help as I’ve never used the digital but sending lots of luck your way that you get a peak on the LH strip too. Maybe the digital is more sensitive?

I’m thinking I may finally have a positive LH strip?

@Sunshine924 welcome! There’s quite a few of us that got baby nr 1 on first cycle and now are “on a journey” 😄

So funny how different it can be! I'm glad to have a toddler as I'm too busy/tired to obsess (too much!) about things and count down days!...

MyGardenDaisies · 24/12/2024 22:02

I am 1DPO. Glad it is Christmas and relaxing time so it will be a nice waiting. af due next week on Friday
