Spoke too soon about not seeing pregnancy announcements. Saw someone post one today on insta and she’s showing a fair bit so must be quite far along. She only got married in June so I reckon must have fallen pregnant quite soon after that! Being in my mid
30s and going on to cycle 2, I do feel a bit anxious within myself when I see others conceiving so quickly even though I know the odds of that happening are rarer.

Really sorry to hear that - I had the exact same thing; positive test then started bleeding Christmas Eve. Not sure if it was false positive and late period or a chemical pregnancy.
It's not ridiculous at all to be upset - I am the same. Sometimes this happening makes you realise how much you want it.
I'm also on that timeline - trying to stay busy so that the month doesn't drag!

I'm sorry to hear you are in the same boat... did you manage to enjoy Xmas anyway? I wish I could say I did but it really spoilt things for me. I am fairly certain I was actually pregnant as had a few positives and symptoms. I think maybe I was a bit naive before and now just feels like a big shock and am suddenly obsessed!! It's dragging and it's only been two cycles.. how do you plan to stay sane lol

Hope everyone had a good Xmas - can I join? Mine was a bit 😥we are TTC no1 (both early thirties) - started trying last month. I have fairly long cycles but we were amazed to get a + test.. sadly my lines never progressed and I started bleeding a few days before Xmas at my in laws... feeling a bit ridiculous to be so upset as was our first month trying but... hoping to ovulate mid Jan 💖

@Thomsonetthompson haha its so addictive isn’t it - testing!

I am 4DPO and have one cheapie test left and been tempted to order more, but then I think of the hundreds of £ I’ve spent on tests in these past 4 months already! I’ve wasted so much money on early digital tests it’s ridiculous

Thomsonetthompson · 27/12/2024 07:26

We're away the whole TWW and I purposefully only packed 1 test so I couldn't be testing every day and distracting from Christmas. Obviously regretting that now!

Hey, can I join? I'm new to TTC and MN both. I'm 31 and this will be our first cycle TTC. Currently on CD6.

Welcome!

OliveTraybake · 26/12/2024 20:54

CoolSummer89 · 26/12/2024 17:36

Sorry to hear that @OliveTraybake what was your partner's morphology score? I think my partner's was 4% which is a bit on the low side but still 'normal' so we didn't get any recommendations

It’s 3.3%. All other aspects of the SA normal and way above the WHO threshold.
there are changes he came make with his bmi, lifestyle etc so we’ll be focusing on that come the new year.

how are you?

SarahB88 · 26/12/2024 20:38

@MyGardenDaisies Ah thought it was your second but I couldn’t remember! This is our second go after a quick and uneventful time the last time too so having a CP is not something we’ve encountered before.

Thankfully my bleeding from CP has now stopped so looks like we’re back to it. Will start OPKs tomorrow.

MyGardenDaisies · 26/12/2024 20:26

@SarahB88 I have a toddler that we conceived on 1st cycle , so trying for baby nr 2 and still struggling to wrap my head around that I am on a TTC journey. I didn’t even know what that meant back then lol

@KittyFantastica that is very insensitive indeed, especially if your son died. I see how she could think that pregnancy loss is common, but to tag someone that has lost a child is so inconsiderate

Hi all, hope you don’t mind if I join. I’m about 10dpo on cycle 3 ttc number 2.

Well tbh it’s probably really uncertain when I ovulated, I’m only using clue to try and tell - not using opks as I don’t want to go down that rabbit hole and find it impossible to see any signs in my body! Also cycles are still trying to settle I think after coming off the pill. First one was 34 days and second was 26. Pre pregnancy they were pretty consistent at 28 days so they could be trying to get back to that - who knows 🤷‍♀️

Tested yesterday and BFN, not sure whether to test again tomorrow or just wait until AF is due!

OliveTraybake · 26/12/2024 15:41

I’ll be trying again in Jan for baby no 1.
Never been pregnant before and found out my partner has reduced morphology last week.
He is starting impryl and coQ10.
can anyone recommend supplements for me? My tests have come back normal so far.

finding this holiday period incredibly difficult x

ljb23 · 26/12/2024 15:27

@Kateb149 oh fab. Thank you!! I'll definitely be trying that! I've been doing LH strips too. I'm going to get rid of the progesterone testing and use BBT instead! Will definitely be cheaper too!!

Kateb149 · 26/12/2024 15:04

ljb23 · 26/12/2024 14:03

@Kateb149 oh wow!! I didn't realise that!! I've never done my BBT. I caught first time twice and miscarried both. Now I'm struggling to catch. I'll try this next cycle!! Thanks so much!!

So sorry to hear about your miscarriages 😔 hopefully tracking BBT might help though 🤞
I only check my LH levels at the mo but have been tempted to get a thermometer for a while now… only thing is you have to test same time in the morning every day which can be tricky for me 😅

@CoolSummer89 no I don't. I thought the BBT just shows your body is ready for ovulation? Yeah I'm not too sure either, I've read a lot of mixed reviews. More bad than good really!

From my understanding BBT confirms that you’ve ovulated (the day after ovulation) so can be more accurate as you can actually have an LH peak without ovulating apparently!

Room4onemore · 26/12/2024 13:45

My chart looking a bit wierd as I’m not very well I have this bug that’s going around so my temp was well high last night

Pregnancy announcement from my husband's step sister today. We already knew as she was due a few days after our little boy. She's had a loss herself, so was waiting until 30 weeks to do a social media announcement, but instead of hiding all the pregnancy stuff from us, she tagged all the family in them. She lives far away, so we only see her every so often, but she knows our son died and still went ahead and tagged us. The inconsiderate nature of people, particularly my husband's family, continues to be disappointing.

I'd hoped to be entering my fertile week by yesterday, and so far not even a sniff that I'm anywhere close to ovulating. I've had the lowest OPK reading I've ever seen, and no bodily signs. Last cycle, I ovulated around CD11/12 and the one previously was CD16/17. I'd hoped I'd ovulate on the earlier side again, as my husband leaves until the 30th tomorrow. I just know I'll get my peak while he's on his way back or something. We really wanted to have a few tries at before ovulation this time as we only DTD on peak day last month as we were unwell and no luck.

I've had dreams all night for the last two nights about OPKs, pregnancy tests and looking for lines. It's been a terrible Christmas anyway, but it really puts the cherry on top. We've never stressed about conceiving before as we conceived easily and it was always (though they ended in losses) previously. Now, I have this huge anxiety that it won't happen again, not helped by my husband being away at the crucial time. Worrying about it won't do any good, so I'm just going to eat another mince pie and be sad for a bit.

momofonex · 26/12/2024 13:00

Hey everyone, ok to join? 5DPO today, struggling alot in this wait!

CoolSummer89 · 26/12/2024 12:57

ljb23 · 26/12/2024 09:15

8DPO, negative test and my urine progesterone tests are negative, so not sure I ovulated. Think I'm going to see a private consultant in the new year!

Do you measure BBT as well? I’m not sure how much I trust those urine progesterone tests!

SarahB88 · 26/12/2024 12:35

MyGardenDaisies · 26/12/2024 12:24

Morning!
I think I am 3DPO.
not having much hopes for this cycle, feeling quite reflective that if has been 5 months, feeling a bit scared to go to the doctors too although my doctor is nice and polite

Sorry that I can’t remember, is this your first or second that your TTC? Fingers crossed this it for you! When I fell pregnant with my daughter I felt like we had zero hope that cycle so you just never know x
