@MyGardenDaisies I can see it too!!! How exciting!

Miffy1994 · 01/01/2025 20:43

Congratulations @Lemonolive09! I’m with you- already have a child so thought I’d be more relaxed but I’m still full of anxiety about TTC/ovulation/peaks/the whole lot! Didn’t push to see the mental health midwife last time so didn’t end up getting any help but think I’d be much firmer this time at getting the help.
Got my fingers crossed for you @MyGardenDaisies!
Finally, finally got my peak this evening on cd18! Had almost given up testing but knew something was up this morning with ewcm appearing. Dtd and will hope to entice DH again tomorrow!

Marie1990x · 01/01/2025 20:42

@MyGardenDaisies eeek can definitely see that! No squinting required 😊. Tentative congratulations 🥰

CoolSummer89 · 01/01/2025 20:39

@MyGardenDaisies didn't even have to squint! Congratulations 😊

Kinderbueno89 · 01/01/2025 20:38

@MyGardenDaisies I can see something too! How many days post ovulation are you?

Lemonolive09 · 01/01/2025 20:35

MyGardenDaisies · 01/01/2025 20:31

Omg omg!!!
Husband says he can see it too! It’s faint but clearly has a red tone in real life and appeared in the time frame. can you see it ?

trying not to get too excited until I see a Pregnant written on a digital!

@MyGardenDaisies I can see it! Can you get a first response early test?

Happy new year everyone. Hopefully by this time next year will we all have babies or bumps ❤️

Kateb149 · 01/01/2025 19:28

@Marie1990x that’s such a good way to look at it and a great resolution. Happy New Years and all the best for you in 2025 ☺️

@MyGardenDaisies let us know how you get on, good news that you haven’t had any cramping yet. I’m not due until Sunday but I’m away now (until Saturday) with no tests so that will force me to relax hopefully! X

MyGardenDaisies · 01/01/2025 18:05

Thank you @Marie1990x x and that’s a great attitude 🤍

@Lemonolive09 huge congratulations! Beautiful start to the new year for you 😊.

Definitely do the early scan. I had one with DD at 7 weeks too purely because I couldn’t quite believe it and needed a professional to confirm it 😂.

@MyGardenDaisies everything crossed for you for your upcoming testing! Of course keep us updated 😊.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all you lovely ladies ❤️. Really hope this year is the one for you all.

I’ve gone into 2025 very optimistic and open minded. If a BFP happens for me, amazing, but if it doesn’t then so be it. I’m done with the OPK’s and obsessing (new year’s resolution 😂). My mantra for 2025 is to focus on the here and now and be thankful for what I’ve got ❤️

MyGardenDaisies · 01/01/2025 17:12

As the holiday are over I’m back to thinking about whether this will be our lucky month or not yet.

Period due day after tomorrow, no cramping yet, so hoping that’s a good sign, as usually I get cramping the 2 days before.

yeah it’s hard. i lost my fallopian tube to a ectopic and my first day back i had to comfort a women who was beside herself as she was having another girl and wanted a boy.I get gender disappoint can be a thing but i wanted to tell her my story and just say be grateful for a healthy baby.
i'm really sorry i haven’t heard of that study so can’t comment.

There’s so many horrible virus and flu’s around atm! Hope you feel better soon ❤️

@Lavenderrose92 Just seen this post after the other one, that must have been so heart wrenching! I had a friend who was ranting about being pregnant with her third boy and I was thinking the same as you.

and don’t feel bad for posting the positive.. i love seeing others happiness 🌈
just be grateful and don’t moan to me about the gender and we will be fine 😂

@Lavenderrose92 Oh I feel you on that topic don't worry 🤣

@Lavenderrose92 Oh are you! I so wish I'd asked here sooner! I felt bad sharing I'd got the positive so didn't mention it.
It's different when it's yourself I would imagine, the anxiety is always ready to pounce! Rather than when you have your professional hat on. I've also read that folic acid can prevent harm from the fever, is that right? 🤞 I've been taking it so hopefully.

@MrsH26 thank you, would prolonged be more like a week or something? It has been 4 days but not constant, usually just in the evenings and nights. Hopefully it doesn't come back tonight and it's done!

Thank you all on this group, you've really helped me. I honestly thought I'd be okay this time having now had my daughter, but it's the same always isn't it. And between the illness and being stuck in bed googling and feeling terrible... Also I came off SSRIs back in the summer, so my anxiety is probably increased anyway. Its really helped to share it here and read your kind responses.

@Lemonolive09 it’s a persistent and prolonged high temp. If it’s been 4 days with peaks and troughs then you’ve had good episodes of normal parameters and so will baby. They’re generally very well protected in utero

im a community midwife so never thought i’d find myself in the TTC naively but really understand your anxiety. Hopefully someone picks you up soon and can support you xx

MrsH26 · 01/01/2025 13:47

@Lemonolive09 please don’t worry, it’s prolonged periods of being very unwell that’s most detrimental. Short episodes of cold/flu like symptoms shouldn’t have too much of an effect.

Lavenderrose92 · 01/01/2025 13:45

Lemonolive09 · 01/01/2025 13:41

@MyGardenDaisies thank you 🙂 I will ask, sadly with one of my losses we had a scan at 7wks4 there was a strong heartbeat but the baby then passed away just before 12 weeks. We did also have an early scan for my third pregnancy at the same point, which I went on to have my daughter, my husband didn't want to because of what happened before he said it's not reassuring enough but it's still a good check point in my mind so I will definitely ask. 🤞

@Lavenderrose92 thank you, it looks like you're right but in my panicky ill moments seeing all the things saying check with a GP before taking it etc I got so worried, so now I think I under did it. I have likely put the baby at more risk from the fever haven't I 😭 I sent an online referral yesterday via the hospital, hopefully hear back soon. I feel stupid🤦‍♀️

definitely do an early scan - I did with my little one at 7 weeks and seeing the heart beat was so reassuring and also made it real!

Happy new year!
Fingers crossed for you @MyGardenDaisies

I had a faint line on boxing day and a stronger line on 28th, which was cycle day 29 of 31 for me. I've not posted in the group because I've been so ill with this flu like thing since Saturday including a high fever which has made me feel sick with worry about the pregnancy being affected, by either the fever or the paracetamol. I messaged the GP surgery but obviously they didn't reply, only time will tell I suppose! I could test again but need to buy a test and haven't been able to get out of bed.

I'll ask for an early scan about 7.5 weeks if I make it that far I think. Isn't the anxiety just horrible 😭

congratulations 🥳
paracetamol in pregnancy is safe, those studies from the first trimester were from the early/mid 90s and there’s been no link since.
GP & pharmacist will recommend paracetamol.
Have you done your referral for maternity care?

Congratulations @Lemonolive09
paracetamol is absolutely fine to take and it’s more important to keep any fever controlled, so regular 6hrly paracetamol would be more recommended than being unwell.
and plenty of fluids

Thank you @MrsH26 , I found some articles showing that paracetamol in the first trimester can cause neural tube defects and was linked to developmental issues, it said use as little as possible, but then also found that a high fever is dangerous, so I've just been overly anxious. I kept taking one then waiting an hour and taking the second if my temperature didn't come down. Probably done the wrong thing 😩 I probably haven't taken enough, ended up just taking them before bed each night. I'm not feverish this morning, but it's been in the evenings so we will see later.

@Kateb149 thank you that's helpful and reassuring! I don't really get pain.. maybe will just take this as the window for the next 5/6 days to try and be on the safe side and not miss it. We were going for DTD every other day so hopefully will be covered anyway if do that for the next week!

Sorry to hear about your negative but as you say there is still time 🤞hope the next few days are a good distraction for you

That sounds like a good idea, and if you’re DTD every other day then you’ll definitely be covered either way ☺️

Thank you and good luck to you x
