Good morning gals! I could do with some advice. I’m into my two week wait, estimating day 2-3 PO (day 3 since LH peak).

It’s my birthday on Saturday and my parents have booked a meal in a lovely restaurant for me, my husband and themselves. There’s a an event in their local after which is always great fun so plan is to go to that too. We’d normally have a a couple of drinks and stay in theirs.

I am totally panicking at the thought of avoiding alcohol while with my mum. She is so perceptive and I know she’ll notice and ask questions, and likely guess why. She knows me too well as we’re very close. I’m not sure why the idea of this makes me so anxious, but it really does! I’d rather keep TTC private.

Does husband else get really stressed over these things??? As is obvious I’m totally freaking out, lol.

Aww happy birthday for Saturday! I hope you have a lovely time 🥰 I personally would still be drinking a couple unless I had a positive test! Or if you really don’t want to I’d probably say I’m on antibiotics for tonsillitis or something so it throws them off the tracks haha!! Xxx

Good morning ladies! ✨
Almost the weekend and we have some nice festive plans. We’re going to tag our Christmas tree at the farm and arrange collection for the first week of December and then top it off with a Christmas market and Fayre!

Whats everyone else upto?

Thanks @Toppstileslover! Knowledge feels like power when it comes to knowing what’s going on in my body!

Toppstileslover · 13/11/2024 22:41

@KT199 I had a pelvic scan this time last year and it’s absolutely fine! Taking matters into your own hands. Good luck and let us know how you get on ❤️

Heartypandaa · 13/11/2024 21:17

Thank you all for the nice words of support, it's true it does make it feel better when i know i am not alone, just needed a reminder. I will try my best to get busy and plan things ahead. I should definitely force myself to go back to the gym and go out more as i mostly work from which obviously doesnt help at all.

Positivity1234 · 13/11/2024 20:40

@Lila34830 sorry to hear about your CP, your time will come! That egg just wasn’t the right one!

I am feeling deflated as thought could announce at Christmas to family, but AF is due on Friday and my BBT has been considerably dropping for 2 days so I know I’m out the game this month.

Going forward my outlook is going to try and not convince myself it will happen this month, that’s the most disappointing part!

We’ve got this ladies! xx

Clara202 · 13/11/2024 20:18

@Lila34830 Dont beat yourself up for testing early, as you said it shows that your timing of DTD was right so it was helpful to know. I think I’d like to know if it was me, even if it is a chemical, to know that something tried to stick. 🤞🏻 the next one sticks for you xx

littlebluu · 13/11/2024 20:11

@Lila34830 So sorry to hear it's not your time this cycle but it's great to see that you have a really healthy way of looking at things and not letting it overcome you, like you said, it just wasn't thee egg!

@Heartypandaa It's definitely difficult to keep your mind occupied when TTC is hanging over, I'm the exact same and I have a very obsessive nature so I'm literally symptom spotting from 1DPO 😆 I still have to work on refocusing my mind but I fall into the same patterns every cycle..so.. no advice for you unfortunately but hopefully you can take some comfort in the fact there are others out there driving themselves bananas too!! 😅😅 This little corner of the Internet has 100% helped when I feel like I'm lost or need a vent!

KT199 · 13/11/2024 19:32

Heartypandaa · 13/11/2024 19:14

Good evening girls, need to vent a little bit :/ AF is due tomorrow, had a bfn today, no sign of it so far. Every cycle when i reach the end of it, i literally stop to live, and i became obsessed with the calendar, and just wait to know, i know it's unhealthy and i feel like my mental health can't take it anyone. I dont know what can i do to break this unhealthy habit, i wish i can just relax and sit back but i feel anxious and stressed 24/7 now. I know no one had an answer to this. But maybe next cycle i will take a break...

It’s really difficult and tbh I think most of us on this journey end up there. We’re all different of course but i’ve found going to the gym or playing some sport helps distract me and can boost my mood, so even when I REALLY don’t feel like it I try force myself to as the benefits afterward are worth it.

I try to limit going on Google, social media ect by putting my phone in another room and trying to read a book or watch tv can help remove some anxiety for me as I’m really bad for endlessly searching/looking at stuff to do with ttc, cycles, symptoms ect and feel this behaviour really amps up my worry and stress

I’m generally quite a stressy/anxious person and I also get stressed about the stress as all you hear is how that can negatively impact too. It’s an awful cycle.

sending love and hoping you get an answer soon xxx

Lila34830 · 13/11/2024 19:18

@Heartypandaa it is such a hard waiting game ! 100%. And we've all felt like this. I have found that planning for holidays or weekends or goals without including a potential pregnancy in it has helped me through it. Almost counteracting the expectation with no expectation ? I don't know if it can help ... that's the only thing I can think of darling, prioritise self care 🫶🏽🫶🏽

@KT199 morning lovely, I've had several pelvic ultrasounds through the years, nothing to worry about, you'll be absolutely fine, they will look at your womb and your ovaries, it's usually quick. It's usually an internal wand though which isn't the most comfortable but not painful at all. Hope it goes all well for you ! 🤍

@KT199 i confirm what lila said, it's not painful and it's quick, i al also used to it so you have nothing to worry about. Hopefully you will have good results. Good luck

In all honesty I just hope I don’t receive any news I’m not expecting but equally, I wanted to have this scan to understand whether there could be anything that may affect our journey going on in there so either way it least I would know 🤞

I am terrible for early testing but seeing the heartache it can cause defo makes me want to be stronger this cycle. At the end of the day, if it’s going to stick it will still be positive even if you wait a week or two won’t it.

I’ve had my pelvic scan rearranged from Saturday until tomorrow due to sonographer availability.. wondered if anyone has had one of these before and if so what to expect? The anxiety has hit me with me being brought forward!!

Lila34830 · 13/11/2024 12:20

@Toppstileslover aww thank you friend ! 🫶🏽
I am cd 2 if I count cd1 from yesterdays bleed so we are very much in synch, but I tend to have longer cycles ! Usually lh peaks around cd 23! I'm still gonna lh test from cd10 as maybe the CM might bring it forward we never know !

Haha I think everybody will start delay testing now 😅 I sure will !

@Toppstileslover I'm back cycle sis ! Sadly, but not losing hope for next cycle 🤞🏼 staying positive.
We DTD on peak day and couple Times before peak day. I'm planing on doing the same this cycle as I can see it worked even though it didn't stick obviously 😕

Told my husband I was pregnant yesterday but I'm not this morning, I think I shouldn't have given how confused he was and how much explaining I'll have to do about CPs and science now !

When is AF due ? It's not over until it shows up xxx

Oh darling! I’ve just come to catch up and was so excited for you given our days matched. I was 5 days late last month, although I did test and it was negative (I am never late, ever) so at least I didn’t have the excitement when yours clearly was positive. Not even a bit positive. It was very! I’m sorry! Am on CD3 now of AF so very much over.

I’m only testing if I’m 5+ days late in the future again. I mean it’s literally the only way to tell 🤣 (unless the random anomaly of having periods + baby!)

Let’s not talk about infertility we will all be fine in Dino Club! We just have to keep going every month. It will happen.

It’s a lot isn’t it. I have a truly wonderful husband but he doesn’t get it (nor why you would test before / disappointment of period / general neurosis of being a woman). He is very clever but the female cycle evades him! It’s so great to have our Dinos ❤️

Good luck to those still waiting ✨✨✨

@Lila34830 yes agreed!! It’s a really tough journey but let’s try keep the positivity on this thread and support each other when we need it 🫶🏻🫶🏻

It’s so nice to have found a place to discuss woes and worries but that is also so uplifting and not at all judgemental.. this really has become a safe place for me over the last few months as my OH doesn’t really get why I worry and get upset, whilst still being as supportive as he can but it’s so nice to feel understood. ❤️

I second that, my DH doesn't get it, but i dont blame him. It's indeed such a safe place, so thanks to all the girls who took the time to support one another ❤️‍🩹

Morning ladies, I was right to be cautious, period arrived this morning, and test is now negative. I felt like the cramps were so intense for implantation.
So I'm not leaving my dear Dino club yet 🥹 I am a little bit disappointed, but life works in a beautiful way, and I know the body is very picky with which egg deserved to hatch, so im holding on to this. Your enthusiasm was so nice to see though, and I do hope I return the same positivity to you on the daily. Next cycle here we go 🩷 !

Ah I'm sorry to hear this news 😔 but lovely that you can be so positive about it all still.
Hope next cycle goes well for us all who are still trying!

@Lila34830 My heart goes out to you, we are here for support if you need us.
Such a wise thing to say about the right egg and trusting you body, if only we can be all that positive.
I just tested and its bfn, after what you said i will definitely be testing a week after af is due. Cps are very common as my gp said, l found it very insensitive when she said it, but now thinking about it, it's only natural for our body to select (as u said) the right egg,
Ahhh ttc need so much patience and the ability to leg go.
Wishing a well recovery ❤️‍🩹

Sorry to hear it's negative girl ! I thought you're very right about testing late. It's hard, but worth it.
This is definitely my resolution too ! Testing only after AF is due ! But somehow i still was too early on this one so I think I need to test at DPO14 even though my lutheal phase is about 10/11 days !
