Hi lovely ladies, just looking for some positive stories of going to CRP clinic ? My back story I have had a chemical then a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks ( baby stopped growing at 6 weeks) then another chemical. I went to CRP clinic three weeks ago and spent £3,300 on tests, everything came back normal apart from the Cytoxicity NK cells (activation of Nk Cells in pregnancy state) normal is below 20 percent and mine are at 26 percent. I suppose I’m just concerned is this really the reason for my 3 loses ?! I hope it is and that the treatment plan can be successful ! He’s put me on superovulation, infusion before ovulation then prednisone and infusion then test. Also taking viagra to help with the lining. I’m having this month off as partner is away so starting next month. I’m so worried about the steroids. Also I’m hoping he will be able to help with my lining. Does anyone know what he will do if my lining is thin on scan day? My last clinic I was at did nothing. No wonder it wasn’t successful. CRP seem great so far just expensive !!! Any comments and replies are so so welcomed

Hello @Objectiontime superovulation is another word for ovulation induction, it’s when you don’t ovulate regularly they give you letrozole days 2-7 to take which encourages more than one follicle to grow and then you trigger shot (injection) when you have 2-3 dominant follicles and then you ovulate 24 hours later so timed intercourse. Do you struggle with late ovulation or not ovulating sometimes, they would only really recommend it if you struggle to get pregnant or have a problem with ovulation. Infusions are intrapalid infusions the give you pre and post ovulation and then every two weeks if pregnant it’s to flush out toxins ! Do they think that it’s NK cells the problem with your miscarriages ? Xxxx

Hi Meg310532, I have had exactly the same as you but not in the same order. I am also starting to go down the private route, although with a different consultant. May I ask what superovulation infusion is? Not one I've heard of. Re the prednisone, I havent been on it myself, yet! However, I think doctors who use it for immune issues in pregnancy are pretty expert on dosing, etc. I believe side effects vary from person to person with the most common one being difficulty sleeping. What I wouldn't do is Google it and read all the negatives about it because I have read the outcomes of ladies sho have had successful pregnancies after being on it and none of them seem to have had issues with bad side effects or babies with problems.
Nothing is perfect in this world, unfortunately and I guess we have to weigh the benefits against the other side. For me, if I am told I need it, which I suspect I might be, then I wint hesitate to take it.
