I used to be like that. I used to take forever to do stuff and my mum used to go mad. I now hate being late for anything and do things really quickly. I think all her yelling did get through to me.

I have put one of maternity skirts on and a pair of tights. I might be a right idiot but I really like wearing my maternity stuff even though I am a bit annoyed that the jeans I bought like 2 days before I got my BFP don't fit.

TheSlightestTeuch · 29/04/2008 09:34

Oh, I would come and see yuo in Oban!!

NatalieJane · 29/04/2008 09:33

Hoorah Tink I can't see your chart though, having siad it might be me, when the AV thingy is doing it's thing most of the time pages don't come up!

Kay, I did put a skirt on, walked out the front door, ran in and put some jeans on, it is no where near as warm out there as it looks! So you've not missed out!!

Morning everyone else

Teuch at that whole post! Would love to see the GP's so called evidence, I expect the whole medical world would!! It just goes to show what they can think they can get away with!

Lost my patience with DS1 today He took half an hour over a bowl of cornflakes (which he left most of anyway), then when he'd finished I sent him upstairs to do his teeth, 15 minutes later I took DS2 up to get him dressed and DS1 was still putting the tooth patse on his brush! I yelled Every single frigging morning, and evening is the same, You ask him to do something, and he will do it, but an hour later.... I had enough, told him he wasn't doing his board games after school club tomorrow, that tonight there is no telly/computer games/PC/ANYTHING. He will be sitting in his room reading all afternoon, he'll have half an hour for his dinner and what he doesn't eat is going in the bin. Bless him he isn't naughty, just takes his own sweet time about everything, but when we have to all be ready and out for 8.45 I need him to stick a rocket up his arse! Grrrrrr! I hate sending him into school when we're not happy with each other

Sorry, I ranted a bit there didn't I?!

kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 09:32

I have just looked at the trains

kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 09:30

Thanks.

I have just at the trains to Oban which is where the sweetshop is and it will take 10 hours

TheSlightestTeuch · 29/04/2008 09:28

The official guidelines state that all women should be offered 2 scans!!!

If I see any sherbet, I shall send you some

kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 09:25

Thats awful Teuch, I thought they said there was no evidence that scans harm babies. Its says so in the leaflet the MW gave me. I can't believe that some health boards thinking that 1 scan is enough.

I am really really craving cherry sherbet. Its driving me nuts as nowhere near here sells it. I got some in Scotland when I was expecting DS and I craved it for most of my pregnancy so I was glad I got quite a lot. But I can't just go on holiday for sherbet.

TheSlightestTeuch · 29/04/2008 09:21

Actually...I think I will start a thread on this...

TheSlightestTeuch · 29/04/2008 09:21

Hullo all,

Just a quick for now - maybe back later...

Oh, I heard from the friend who is around 9-10wks that the local GP is only sending her for a 16wk scan, despite the health board (where she will deliver) offering 2!!! I am raging about this, as I already know now that I am going to have a battle for my 2 scans!! When friend questioned it, she actually said that there was evidence that scanning could be damaging and did she really want to do that to her baby !!!

I have already sent friend the guidelines, have told her to take it up with MW (who is lovely and told me that I culd probably go for an early scan, when I told her I was ttc)

This is the same GP, by the way, who sighs when you go for a smear...

calsworld · 29/04/2008 09:07

Just a quick check-in, working from home today, thank goodness, I'm crackered. DS is much better but has apparently abandoned the need to sleep .

Hopefully I'll be able to get lots done at home though so things will be easier the rest of the week when I'm back in the office .

Catch up later,
Cal

CosmogirlIsStillWaiting · 29/04/2008 08:40

Morning all,

BB - try caffeine free diet coke - that is what I drink now and it is yummy! I was never a full sugar coke person, always diet coke, but the caffeine free version tastes just the same as diet coke.

So far still impressed with real AF. Is pretty much painfree and just doing its thing. So only drawback of not being on pill seems to be the PMT so far.

Tink - LOL at Monica and Ross dance

kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 08:39

Morning BB,

DH has sent me a message since saying "Doh I forgot you can't put the bin out" honestly, I thought woman were meant to get pregnancy brain not the men.

kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 07:29

Nat you are right, I was exhausted. I'm also a bit annoyed with DH as my Morning Sickness seems to have started and I asked him to dress DS while I was being sick and he said no as he was at work. Yet I asked him at 6 to do it and he doesn't leave until 6:40 and he just sat on the sofa for 40 minutes. To top it all off he just text me and said he forgot to empty the bin and could I do it. Duh because I can really carry a full and heavy binbag downstairs to put in the Wheely bin.

I wanted to wear a skirt today but they don't fit anymore. I have become bloated and only my maternity stuff fits ATM. I am quite annoyed.

NatalieJane · 29/04/2008 07:19

Good morning

Too early in the morning for check lists.... well that's my excuse!!

I didn't really do playing with dolls, I was more likely to be the one drawing out registers to play teachers, or being the woman from the DSS office (Cheers mum, really loved the outing to that place!! LOL) We only went the once just after mum and dad split up and I still remember the smell and style of it, even some of the other people there, things that stay in your head eh?!!

Glad DS seems to be getting a bit better Cal

Sorry you had a bad night Kay, and I expect all you wanted to do was just get in to bed, not much fun in early pregnancy is it?

Suns out, think I might wear a skirt today.

kayzisexpecting · 29/04/2008 06:20

Good morning.

Sorry I didn't come back last night. DS decided he was going to be a pain in the bottom. From about 5 until 11 he kept screaming and shouting. We all ended up covered in Calpol because as soon as it got near his mouth he would knock it out of our hands. So we had to give him a bath at half 10 as it was in his hair and everywhere. He eventually took some calopol and went to sleep at 11 only to wake up at 6

I was also a tom boy but I did have 1 doll when I was about 3 and all it did was wee and take a bottle of water. I can't believe some of the stuff they can do now.

calsworld · 28/04/2008 21:25

Grapefruit juice can help with the production of Cervical Mucous, more specifically, of the egg white variety!

So it may taste yuck but its particularly good for the over 30's. I read that under 30 EWCM lasts for about 5 days..after 30, around 2.

Great. Thank goodness for grapefruit juice! Though I've also read that you have to drink it for quite a while for it to have an effect. Robitussin can be just as effective as it is a demulcent (?) is that the right word - anyway, it makes your CM thinner and therefore easier for sperm to pass through in the same way that it makes chest mucous thinner and therefore easier to get rid of.

Starshinetiger · 28/04/2008 21:15

What's grapefruit juice meant to be good for?! Thanks for the list LL - I need to follow that too. Am cutting out down on caffeine from tomorrow - I really am addicted to my one cup of coffee a day! Must go and take my pregnacare in a minute!
LL - lol at neice! I still remember my birthday when I was lots younger - must have been about 6 or 7, going downstairs to kitchen and finding a boy doll on the kitchen table and being so excited. Turned out it was just my girl doll dressed in some boy clothes, which my Mum had sewed, but was still really chuffed that I had some new clothes to dress her in. I was such a girlie girl - loved pushing my dolly round in her pram!
Thinking about that, makes me really want to give up work after DC2. Have decided to try and save the majority of my salary from this month, to see if we could survive on DH's salary. If we can, then yay, I don't need to go back to work as and when and if not, we're still saving what we do manage to save of it and maybe I can go back part-time.
Right, off to chores. Night all.

calsworld · 28/04/2008 21:13

Oh, and nearly fell asleep with legs up the wall last night LOL so doing OK on that front!!

calsworld · 28/04/2008 21:11

Oh, well that explains alot then...

  1. when I remember (I will be better, I promise!)
  2. ummm, well, not really
  3. I'm with squacky, need at least three cups of tea
  4. Not tried it yet but if the juices don't start flowing (not much this month) then I definitely will next month
  5. ooops. OK, I won't start the next bottle!
  6. Yep, Check (DH has even started to harrass me!!!)
  7. erm - well, I walk downstairs in the morning and up them again at night? Me and BF are going to start aquarobics (sp?) again next week so will be doing better!

So, to sum it up, crap effort on my behalf. I'm glad you posted the check list coz I really hadn't realised how bad a job I'm doing. Am going to pull my socks up.

On the plus side, and I think it is quite a big plus, I'm not being quite as obsessive about TTC this month and feel less manic quite more relaxed about it. I guess there is a certain element of expecting it to happen straight away like the first time and getting over the disappointment that it didn't, then the second cycle, planning it all meticulously and now third cycle - sod it, it will happen when the time is right!

Sorry about disappearing suddenly earlier, DS woke up. He seems better and managed some fruit puree and a fairy cake for afternoon tea and spaghetti with sausages for supper, good to see him eating even though its not much. I'm sure he'll be fine tomorrow.

Oh, and about the kissing - he puckers up and presses his closed lips against mine when he's kissing me - which is funny coz we only kiss him on the cheek but he seems to want to kiss me and his dad on the lips! Very cute!

lardylumps · 28/04/2008 20:06

night all see you tomorrow.

lardylumps · 28/04/2008 19:40

  2. lots of water- not reeeeallly
  3. no caffiene- arggh nope, need tea I'm afraid.
  4. grapefruit juice- why , why would you it's gross?
  5. cut back on wine- does rose count?
  6. lots of GOF-ALWAYS!! regardless of ttc....otherwise it's heals over
  7. exercise- erm...I run around after 3 kids everyday does that count? I have cleaned all the carpets today that's kinda like exercise isn't it?
