Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

It's definitely worth buying ovulation strips at the start to test when you are ovulating unless you know already? My flo app is usually spot on with mine that's how I used it to conceive my first and the miscarriage I've just had and like I say I know by my body when it's time for us to DTD lol

Good luck you've got this x

Ah thanks so much @Butterflygirl23 !

I will definitely invest in some! I think I know as my cycles are super regular and I get a lot of EWCM at the same time each month but there’s no harm in double checking…

@Butterflygirl23 so sorry for your loss! I had my first miscarriage last week so just waiting for my cycle to come back but just wanted to wish you all the best for tcc this cycle! I hope you get some really positive news! 💕

Aww thank you I'm so sorry to hear about yours too. It's such an exciting time but so scary too
Good luck with your journey too

Hello can I join please?

TTC #1 for the first time (I’m 37, DH 34). Excited but nervous as it all seems a bit complicated…feel like I don’t know anything compared to lots on here!

We do know DH’s swimmers are all ok though as he had some tests as part of medical treatment last year. No idea about whether I’m in working order - am I being naive to think we should try a bit before getting me checked out?

Day 1 of cycle today so let’s see how things go…

Hello can I join please?

I've just had an early miscarriage at 5 weeks unfortunately but we are ready to go again this cycle hopefully. I've brought some ovulation strips to test my ovulation next week as it should happen again straight after. I usually can tell when I'm ovulating though by EWCM but just brought strips because I've never experienced a miscarriage before and not sure when it'll happen this time round. I'm on day 8 and my AF is due 16th so il not be testing till I'm late

Cycle 4, already have a 13 month girl which took 7 cycles

Good luck ladies xx

Jess1066 · 27/10/2024 07:18

@HA22 I've always used the natural cycles app so hoping I'll see tge temp change on that for the first cycle but we won't be ttc that time as I'd like to wait #1 cycle but already have cb opk tests ready for cycle #2!

MyGardenDaisies · 27/10/2024 06:38

Morning! CD14, got a flashing smiley 😊 on CB digital finally and starting to get a bit of EWCM.
going to start trying today with Preseed

Hen2000 · 27/10/2024 05:23

@Jess1066 I'm so sorry for your loss.

@HA22 oh I understand that! We also co sleep and my youngest still comes in during the middle of the night but he does start the night in his own bed now. He would likely settle if we lay next to him and sneak out. If I get pregnant again we will be more pro active about it 😅

HA22 · 26/10/2024 23:40

@Hen2000 Wow! How lovely - super mom! Not a lot of time when you're not pregnant or breastfeeding! I breastfed mine exactly 2 years to his birthday but I miss it so much! We were co sleeping at the time and it was the only thing that was stopping him from sleeping through. In all honesty, he doesn't sleep though yet as he awakes multiple times asking for water🙄

HA22 · 26/10/2024 23:37

@Jess1066 I'm so sorry for your loss xx Are you going to use OPK tests?

Jess1066 · 26/10/2024 22:37

@MyGardenDaisies thank you so much! We are really trying to look to the future with hope! I wish you all the best for mid November with baby #2 💕

MyGardenDaisies · 26/10/2024 22:28

@Jess1066 I am so sorry for your loss 💔 all the best to you on the new journey ! X

Jess1066 · 26/10/2024 21:49

Hi All,

I'd like to join! A bit about my story, we re both 29 and started ttc back in July and fell pregnant August, we miscarried last week at 9 weeks but would like to try again as soon as it's possible! Not sure if November will be possible for us as I'm waiting for my cycle to start again but either way would love some of all your hope and positivity to rub off on me even if that means December! Kind of need something to keep me looking to the future while we wait as I'm struggling with that at the minute!

Much love, hope and well wishes to you all as you go on your ttc journeys this month! 💕

Hello all. I'm glad someone's made this thread - thank you!
My husband (28) and I (25) are trying for DC2. This is cycle 2 (DC1 was conceived on cycle 1) and currently CD4. I did something sooo foolish last cycle. I always run straight to the toilet after DTD to wash (anything to avoid a UTI) and I push everything out. It only occurred to me yesterday how unhelpful that is😂 Instead of encouraging the sperm to reach the egg, I'm forcing them out the other way😭

Even though i’m 99.9% I an not ovulating rn, we DTD today and I already feel silly - 1, because I read if we did get lucky with implantation it can disturb, but 2, should I have a super random ovulation I went for a shower straight away! Ughhhh annoyed myself xx

HA22 · 26/10/2024 21:25

@Hen2000 Wishing you all the best this month! Are your children close together or is it only this time round you want another one soon? x

My older two are 18 months apart. Then 4.5 years between my second and third. My third just turned three. I have breast feed for three years with the last two and I don't ovulate until I've stopped. I would of loved 3 and 4 to be closer in age but there are lovely things with all the different age gaps I think :)

Hello! Ttc baby number 4. 3 children and one missed miscarriage before my eldest. A couple of chemical pregnancies too.

I had my first period back from breastfeeding during October and next period due roughly Nov 8th. I did ovulate once during the summer so this would be cycle 2 for us.

Currently 3dpo I've had some luck testing earlier in the past but not sure when I will test yet

CoolSummer89 · 26/10/2024 19:20

@Nicola1988 welcome Nicola! Looks like we will be trying very similar tactics this cycle. Best of luck!

Joining from oct thread. Little bit about me. Iv just turned 36. Currently on my 11 cycles. No bfp in that time. Partner has had SA. all number good. Iv had day 21 bloods and confirmed i am are ovulating. I have an 8 year old daughter that was conceived through ivf with my ex partner due to low sperm count. This month we have decided to not do ovulation strip testing and just try and go with the flow x

Sugarcube84 · 26/10/2024 14:18

Welcome @Readysetgooo @JW24M @Confusedmermaid1 @ThatSnugSwan @Mrscmay17

the beginning is very overwhelming @JW24M i found 3rd and 4th cycles very tough because the ‘average’ is said to be 3 months. And because it’s all new it takes over your life. Hopefully you will get pregnant soon but if not it does become less of an obsession (at least it did for me)

Thank you v much. I am sure those stats are why i’m also feeling pretty meh. It just isn’t like in school where we expect one time to be enough! But trying to remain positive as it can take a healthy couple a year.. and here I am stressing on cycle 3!
