Hi all,
Starting a thread for people who are TTC/testing in November 2024.

A bit about me. I am TTC#1. I'm 35 and DH is 36, we have been trying since Dec 2023 and this will be our 13th cycle! We've had some basic tests and all seem to be OK, but GP referred us to fertility clinic today. So feel like we're entering the next stage of TTC.

Fertile week is next week. I'm not going to test until a missed period, which will be 14th Nov.

There were a lot of positives in the October thread so hopefully we're as lucky! 💖

Thanks @JW24M ❤️ baby dust to you too! I can definitely see faint lines on both your 10po tests, fingers crossed for some line progression over the next few days. Is that your current LH as well? I’ve read higher LH can be a sign of pregnancy 🤞

JW24M · 29/10/2024 15:26

@CoolSummer89 how are you feeling as you approach your fertile week? xx

Hi,

can I join please 😃

cycle 5 ttc #1 after a chemical on cycle 1. Currently 5dpo and symptom spotting like crazy. Starting to stress about it all although I know it’s not a long time.

Sorry to hear about your CP :( hopefully this is your month! As easy as it is to say, try and be calm to avoid the extra stress. I am sending you lots of baby dust! Xx

@JW24M I’ve been losing the plot for months so you’re doing better than me 😅

I’ve got high hopes from reading the reviews but I know that’s not a good thing haha. The TWW is awful and I definitely feel the same… it’s worse than fertile time!

I just saw your post about spotting, it really could be implantation spotting for you so don’t lose hope yet. I have everything crossed for you!

Haha! Easily done 😂

Thanks lovely! Here’s hoping. Although if AF is due, it’ll be here by the weekend so not too long to wait I guess! Xx

@JW24M if could be implantation you never know? Is spotting usual for you before AF? I know you said about your cycles but I've got my fingers crossed! I've told my partner we need to DTD every other night now this week but I don't think it really matters like i say last month cycle we only DTD CD 11&12 and i conceived

Perhaps! I’m so unsure. I’ve never had spotting this early on. I’ve had some brown DC before AF but usually more cramping. This is more like a heavy feeling. I had some wandfo cheapies come yest and dome clear blues/FRER’s. I told myself DONT test until Thursday/Friday but could I do it? Could I heck! I know they were BFN’s after 3 mins (or so I thought) but then I left them on the side… came back and there a bit of colour on the 10dpo one (my sharpie ran out so had to improvise with the numbers 😂😂) meh! So unsure. I think its more than likely an indent due to time passed tbh. Will know in a few days for sure. The 9 was last night (about 9pm when the tests arrived lol) The top 10 was FMU today, the second 10 was about ten mins ago BUT I have drank a lot today. Look at me being all optimistic 😂😂 Xx

@Fairy0708 hopefully everything your gynae has recommended works for you 🤞 we’ve decided every other day is better for us too… as I didn’t realise for the first two months that the swimmers become less concentrated if you BD every day 😅 and it definitely feels like less pressure to not have to be at it like rabbits!

Kateb149 · 29/10/2024 15:07

@JW24M oh we can still be twinnies 😂 lets hope cycle 3 is the one for you!

I’m 2DPO today so a long way before I can test yet 😅 I tried the conceive plus lubricant this time though so interested to see if that made any difference x

Haha yayy! Honestly lost my mind a bit today. Oooo i’ve heard it’s meant to be good - I am thinking about getting some for the next cycle if this one has no luck. I think this limbo land during the TWW is what stressed me out more than the fertile window tbh! Xx

@Fairy0708 that’s really interesting, i’m glad it’s helped you to relax. I’ve been tracking my cycles for 3 months now so not long at all really, but I have ovulated on a different day each month which makes me want to carry on tracking 🤦🏼‍♀️ but if it makes me and DH feel more relaxed it might be for the best… x

We've definitely found every other day (for approx 2 weeks, so around CD9-22) has helped. I saw a gynae and they also advised every other day. He did ask me if I used ovulation sticks and I said sometimes and he asked why only sometimes... I guess it depends on the doc but I know friends who were advised to ditch them. I guess there's no wrong or right way!

I'm CD 10 too. Have you started tracking ovulation? I know you said you won't be tracking next cycle but wasn't sure this one

Also - I MEANT TEN DPO!
I quit. I honestly need to log off this site for a few days 😂😂😂😂 i’m such a doughnut x

I have tracked it for a few months now. It’s not even funny how messed up my cycle was this month - I ovulated right after AF.. it makes absolutely no sense to me but essentially I took pre-preg vitamins and they biffed up my usual cycle so I was ten days late on AF in Aug and since then we’ve been all over the shop.
Now I think my body is starting to get into a rhythm with it all again. I’m 10dpo today, and waiting on AF to arrive after some weird brown spotting yest/tiny but today. My irrational brain says implantation, my sensible head says here comes AF. After this i’ll track bbt/cm but not LH test xxx

@Fairy0708 I’m the same with DC1 , and now on CD16, so we will be waiting together
Have you already ovulated ?

Sorry I meant I'm on cycle (month)15 TTC!
In terms of cycle day I am not really counting anymore but I think I have already ovulated and period is due in about 11 days! How many months have you been TTC number 2?x

Butterflygirl23 · 29/10/2024 14:47

JW24M · 29/10/2024 14:13

I’m on cycle 3!!

(I’ve officially lost the plot) thought it was 4! I just worked it out. I swear the months roll into one with BFN’s. Oops! I’m cd10, cycle 3. I swear I get this wrong all the time 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ and flit between cycles or days. I just have the worst memory! sorry to @Kateb149 we are not twinnies in cycle terms after all! xx

Em3009 · 29/10/2024 14:44

I think I’m around 6 DPO according to my app but as I only came off the pill recently I’m taking it with a pinch of salt although I’m finding I’m symptom spotting like mad! I’ve had cramps, feel awfully sick and nearly cried because I couldn’t get the sandwich I wanted 🤣 although I’m guessing it might be AF symptoms!

Hi! Happy to join this group as I found it so helpful last time I was TTC!

I'm almost the same as you @MyGardenDaisies - TTC#2 - cycle#2, and BFP with baby #1 was cycle #1 too .... (How are you feeling about it taking slightly longer this time around? - I am feeling slightly humbled lol). Xx

I'm on cycle 15 TTC number 2. DC1 was first cycle... An absolute miracle!

Hi
Can I join? I'm 40 trying to conceive my third and my husbands first. We were had a loss in August so trying again. Hopefully Nov will be our month 😊x

Edited

Sending love & baby dust to you xx

MyGardenDaisies · 29/10/2024 13:43

Re how to navigate timed intercourse -
I tell my partner when I’ve tested high/peak and keep reminding him what that means. I send him the screenshots from Flo app as it’s better when it comes from a third party and they really simplify the whole thing, whilst I would go into the scientific details 😂😅

I get the sentiment that it puts pressure to “perform”, but it also shouldn’t be only on the female to have the pressure of testing ovulation/ monitoring cervical mucus etc - it’s a joint thing so for me it’s normal that I at least get to share what’s happening in my body and cycle and how it makes me feel.

what works for us is to make it fun, get some toys or something new so you’re not only trying to conceive but also having fun together

Wondergirl1111 · 29/10/2024 13:40

PS what cycle day is everyone on? xx

Wondergirl1111 · 29/10/2024 13:40

MyGardenDaisies · 29/10/2024 07:09

@Wondergirl1111 I am extra grateful for my baby but also found it absolutely heartbreaking when my period arrived the last 2 cycles. Especially as I had some faint lines, which must have just been evaporation.

I am a worrier type, so have thrown a lot of money at TTC so far, lots of supplements and digital ovulation tests. I’ll do an internal ultrasound and speak with my gynaecologist around 6 month mark if I’m still not pregnant.

I know that if I got pregnant this cycle, it would still be on the quicker side, so not being super hopeful but trying to be positive. It’s a hard balance

how are you finding it ?

Ah yes, I think I'm very similar to you - my mind has immediately headed to the worries - for me about being older now (I'm 38) - my period came 5 days early kast cycle - I thought it was implantation bleeding but nope - just my period... so it was a 23 day cycle compared to what used to be my regular 28... so I have no idea when i ovulated! So, like you I am throwing money this month at the digital ovulation tests - knowledge is power! and what's £20 to save heartache each month missing your ovulation window! However I do see that for some, tracking adds stress and pressure.
I am not finding it too hard now but come back to me in two months time if it still hasn't happened!

@CandH35 this is a really interesting question - it's tough isn't it! My DH has to work away sometimes and I find myself getting anxious about that and missing our window... I also feel like sometimes me instigating it during TTC and ovulation window will make him think im only after it for the baby, because let's be honest I'm not always instigating it otherwise! I feel like I'm using him a bit lol! Not that he minds!
