Also feeling the pressure of the year ending.. not really sure why other than it will mark a year TTC in Jan with two losses along the way and I was hoping to be pregnant before my due date for my MMC in early Feb
Had a phone call with my GP last night about my short cycles since the MC and it went better than I had hoped, going in for an exam and some blood tests tomorrow morning
I was fully expecting to be fobbed off as they’d previously said no testing until after 3 MCs but I think the fact I’m spotting days before my period which isn’t the norm for me and my cycles have changed means he sees a reason to do some tests
Feeling hopeful that if there is something going on other than my body recovering from the loss that we will get some answers 🤞🏼

Period has arrived so back to cd1 of cycle number 5. This is new territory for me after getting pregnant a lot quicker with both of my previous pregnancies. Fingers crossed I can get a BFP before Christmas but if honest my hope for that is dwindling

Mummysparrow · 18/11/2024 11:02

Sitting waiting for my period to start so I can go on to cycle number 5 😭

Reyttc · 17/11/2024 11:13

@MrsS11 congratulations, wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy 💗

@Mummysparrow I take the pregnacare conception multivitamin, on top of that I take 100mg vitamin b6 and a high strength vitamin D. I find that this combination works well for my cycle, I usually get a peak ovulation test on cycle day 15 and then I have a 12 day luteal phase. Without the vitamins I can ovulate as late as cycle day 22 and only have a 8 or 9 day luteal phase. It took a lot of trial and error for me to find the right vitamins. However, I’m no medical professional, I just did a lot of research on mumsnet reading threads from women who had similar issues to me.

I’m 9dpo today and don’t have any pregnancy tests in the house. I’m tempted to buy some when I go food shopping today but then at the same time I don’t know whether to wait and see if AF turns up next week.

Mummysparrow · 16/11/2024 16:18

@Ella31 I did feel like I was relaxing more but the grief is a little more raw this week especially with another negative test and the due date nearing. It does make me appreciate my daughter more and I count my blessings that I have her. I think I focus on Christmas this month and I may not track etc. Easier said then done but my period will be due about a week before Christmas and I don't want to be a Debbie downer if I don't get pregnant again next cycle.
I have had loads of tests and a private scan too. Got a NHS scan in 2 weeks too .... Mainly to check for fibroids but the private one looked.like there was no fibroids, just a defect around the c section sight and loads of follicles in one ovary x

@Ella31 I was on just just usual iron supplement (which has B12 and folic acid in) when I conceived last time but because of the Trisomy 16 and being 35 I was a bit concerned about my egg quality so that's why I am currently taking OVUM fertility supplements in the hope it improves my egg quality. I am also borderline PCOS so it's hard to know whether to strip back to bare basics again

Oh I get you, would you ask your gp (you probably already have) about supplements. I hope I can give you some peace though that sometimes the grief can just prolong conception. In my two mc's, I conceived month 1 and month two and with my late sons, month 1. This current baby 8 months to conceive, I was going mental. Had every test under the sun, tests were perfect and then just in month 8 I saw a bfp. I definitely was calmer in month 8 though I think I had just decided it'll either happen naturally or ill look into other options and then boom.

I'm obviously not saying the horrible just relax cliche but you are definitely within the normal range it takes to conceive again and I know for a fact that grief and stress plays an absolute blinder in this. I'll be rooting for you xxx

10dpo and still negative so I am pretty confident that I am out this month. So on to month 5 of TTC after loss. Emotionally I am not doing well today. I was convinced I would be pregnant again by the time George's due date came around especially as it only took 3 months to conceive him and 2 months for my daughter.
Although I have had a private scan and blood test, I am still convinced something must not be right. I have a NHS scan in a few weeks so interested to see how that goes .
@Beanie14 I tried to find out from my bereavement midwife what the wait time for help in my area is but she doesn't know and I suspect it is a long wait so I think I may continue on my private path once I have had my NHS scan.

What vitamins is everyone on? I am wondering if I should strip back what I am taking.

Big hugs to everyone. This is such a tough journey that no one wants to be on. 🤗

@Mummysparrow, sorry you are feeling down today. 🥰 it took me 8 months after losing my twins to conceive again so I feel your pain. I was the same fell pregnant within 2 months with each pregnancy before.

said id tell you what helped me vitamin wise. I only took folic acid and vit D (liquid form) and I'm currently nearly 18 weeks. Right brfore I conceived this time. I came off everything bar folic acid and vit d. Every professional told me the multi vitamins are an expensive con. Unless your doc points out that there is a deficiency, I'd go natural and let your body do it's thing. Worked for me. I use a natural brand called viridian

Bfp this week 🙂 I'm mostly managing to feel pretty calm about it, but I think mainly because I'm not feeling awful yet and I'm very busy so it's easy to not think too much about it. Today I keep thinking I'm cramping but it doesn't really feel like period pain so my sensible head thinks it's ok... My irrational head is freaking out.

Congrats. I had cramps with my late twins and with my current pregnancy up until 12 weeks so don't worry. It felt like my period was coming on and lower back pain. Unless there's blood, I wouldn't worry. Lovely line by the way

Bellabubble · 16/11/2024 08:38

@Mummysparrow I had 7 cycles post my first MMC before I conceived again. Sadly that one was an anembryonic pregnancy and I had a d&c for that, then 2 months later we conceived my now 3year old. I had been taking b12 and 6 plus the old style seven seas trying to get pregnant tablets, and co q10 for egg quality. This time round I’m just taking co q 10 and the new seven seas trying for a baby as they have b6 and 12 in them already x

@MrsS11 congratulations! x

@Reyttc thank you - I’m ok, weirdly wanting af to return just to feel like I can close the book on this chapter. I also keep thinking every day af isn’t here is another day coq10 can help with the egg quality at least (in my head - not sire if it works like that in reality!)

Beanie14 · 16/11/2024 01:33

Congratulations @MrsS11 xxx

Beanie14 · 16/11/2024 01:30

@Ella31 aww thanks. I know it’s shocking isn’t it??

MrsS11 · 15/11/2024 20:09

@Mummysparrow I'm so sorry this wasn't your month, those anniversaries looming are so hard. Sending hugs x

MrsS11 · 15/11/2024 20:00

@Reyttc I've just got the seven seas ones because they have folate rather than folic acid. Have used the food based kind too, though honestly I don't know if I feel any different on different vitamins

Well AF came at 10 dpo, waited until after I’d just done a test though even though I ‘checked’ before taking it 🙄 so on to cycle 6 TTC post MMC
I’ve booked myself a phone consultation with the GP Monday though I’m not sure anything will come from it as it was done online so not sure they’re looked at before the time of the appointment.. booked it because it’s been almost a year of TTC now, two losses and my cycles (LP particularly) are very short following MMC, we will see what they say 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Ella31 i have been referred to fertility clinic with NHS but unfortunately there’s a 12 month wait in my area :( so will have to be private if I have any hope of conceiving soon.

That's disgraceful. Well I'm thinking of you all the time xxxx

I’m 6dpo today and feel weirdly calm about whether I’m pregnant or not this cycle, not complaining though!

@Notsure31 I use Premom to track ovulation with LH tests and I’ve always used flo to track my period even before ttc. I don’t do bbt though.

@Bellabubble my AF returned 5 weeks after my MVA, I wasn’t ovulation testing in those 5 weeks though so can’t comment on that. Hope you’re feeling okay 💗

@Ella31 Thanks for the advice, I’ll deffo consider it in the new year if it doesn’t happen before then. I won’t have to pay for child care then so I’ll have more free funds xx

I know so little about the NHS as I'm in Ireland but can you be referred to a fertility hub as they are called here.

Ella31 · 14/11/2024 18:18

@Beanie14 I second the hycosy I had one the month i fell pregnant with current pregnancy. Although my tubes were perfect, the doctor said it essentially flushes them out and after 8 months of trying after losing my twins, I fell.

I also recommend a folicle scan. Don't know the name as such but basically they showed me in a scan around when I thought I was ovulating that the egg was ripe to burst so I dtd around then. It was really helpful to see that.

Bellabubble · 14/11/2024 17:00

I’m still here but quiet as I’m just waiting for a cylce to start! 4 weeks post MVA so waiting for AF to return. I couldn’t pinpoint ovulation as my LH strips were high but I was also getting positives on pregnancy tests. Since the negative test the LH tests have all been low. I might just keep testing as I found a box that just went out of date (last month) and see how I get on - but I think we won’t be ttc until December time (if AF comes back soon)

Welcome and sorry to those that have joined the thread recently. I have my fingers crossed and lots of positive thoughts for everyone x

Notsure31 · 14/11/2024 06:42

Just out of interest which app is everyone using? I was using Premom when ttc years ago before I’m wondering if this is still the best one? I will be using bbt and ovulation testing.
