So we have a one year old. It took us 2 years to conceive which was tough but I know others have had longer and more difficult journeys 🙏 I am now 37 so really hoping things happened a bit quicker this time.

Looking for experiences of anyone who took a while to conceive first time round but second happened quicker?

1st was about 9 months. I was 30 when I gave birth.

2nd was about 10 mins, 1st time after we'd decided. I was 33 when I gave birth..

Hi all,
I have been TTC for 10 years with no luck.
All tests have come back normal for me and my DH has low sperm morphology 2% but dr's have reassured us we could still get pregnant, we do not qualify for IVF on NHS so currently saving for private IVF.

Would love to hear some positive stories from people in similar circumstances

Not me, but someone I know took 5 years with miscarriages to conceive for her DD1. Conceived her 2nd baby at the first attempt. Was in her late 30s also.

Around over 3 years and 3 full rounds of ivf before I ever got a positive pregnancy test. Then when he was18 months and I was 40 I got pregnant without even trying. Due in Feb

Yes,that's why my girls are only 21 months apart.3.5 years for DD1. 1 month for DD2.

whiteorchids44 · 14/10/2024 14:36

Yes, it took 2 years to conceive DD at 39 and it took 2 months to conceive DS at 42. Good luck with everything, OP! 💐

MissyPants · 14/10/2024 14:36

Yes. First baby at 36, after 5 consecutive losses (chemicals & miscarriage)
Then, when trying for my second I was successful first time round, no complications or anything. DTD once during my fertile window. I was 40 when I had my second.
All the best!

I started ttc at age 22. I fell pregnant for the first time (without help) at age 39. I then fell pregnant again 2.5 yrs later.
