Forgot to update 😅 no smileys on the clearblue so far, but too early anyway so that would be right.

Still getting flashing smileys on CD 19/26

8 days since donation.

Exhausted, I keep napping & having lie ins!

All the nervous waiting must be so exhausting! How long to you have to wait before testing?

thanks for the welcome @Lila34830 @Gemmaemilyx @KT199 @Heartypandaa . The 🦖 seems like a very supportive club!! I like the vibes here.

Ive been using the ClearBlue 2 most fertile days LH sticks, just once a day in the morning, along with the flo app. Right now I’m day 8 DPO and the app is predicting my best chances start tomorrow, with ovulation on day 13. I’ve never used the sticks before this month.

A friend who had a tough journey of her own very kindly gave me 2 monitors (clearblue and mira) but I haven’t tried either as the refill tests are expensive!! Any experience with either brand here?

KT199 · 07/11/2024 08:14

@ThisOchreTiger welcome!! ☺️ Hopefully it’ll only be a short journey!

@Lila34830 implantation pain can defo be in the back!! Fingers crossed for you.

CD3 over here, feels quite weird not peeing on sticks and having to second guess my body 🤣 but also very enjoyable!! Feel like this is the least stressful part of the cycle now, whereas when AF was in town prior to TTC I hated this time of the month 😅

Lila34830 · 07/11/2024 07:55

Hang in there @lovealways97 ! 🫶🏽

@HE93C oh really ! I thought af might come earlier as I only get this pain on my period, it's so low in the lumbar area ! But it was very mild, so no idea 😭 we shall see.... I'm aiming to test next week around 11/12 dpo ...

@ThisOchreTiger WELCOME to the Dino club ! 🦕 full of friendly non judgemental (and as clueless as you!) mid 30s women !

@Gemmaemilyx I have my fingers crossed for you !

@HE93C I use the premom ones and put them in the app ! Personal preference but I think they honestly all do the same job. I just avoid clear blue as it's overpriced imo !

I'm 6 or 7 dpo today, absolutely no sign of anything, apart from lower back pain yesterday all day, this is the pain I get when I'm on my period but I would expect implantation pain would be at the front ? So I'm not sure!

I have read that you can sometimes get backache with implantation too so you never know!!

Thank you guys! We go in a weekend break tomorrow so ideally I need to know for certain as I don’t want to drink if I am 🤣

@ThisOchreTiger welcome!! Have you been tracking or anything? good luck on your first real try! Hope you only have one month 🥰🩷

Hi all, I’d love to join! Have been following the thread as we had just decided to start trying, but the timing wasn’t right for last month. Now finished wk 1 of cycle.
I am also just about to turn 36, and very new to the wonderful world of TTC. It’s funny to feel simultaneously old and clueless!

Welcome to the journey, im almost a year in this and still feel clueless 😆

Ok so my ‘evap lines’ may not have been, this test tonight is dark enough for the camera (hopefully you can see it!!)

I’ll take one with FMU and keep you all updated 🤣🩷

Oh i really hope it works out for you 💫💫 keep us updated tomorrow🤞🏻

Thanks for the help! Do you guys stick to a certain brand of ovu tests? I’m gonna buy a new batch in for the new cycle 😂😂

I’m lucky that I’ve got a high sex drive for some reason however my husband sometimes takes some convincing! We DTD 5 times in 6 days over my predicted ovu week on the app but I didn’t ever get the peak on the test so must’ve missed it!

I use easy at home! The first month or so I bought Wondfo. Both worked for me no problem at all, they’re both on Amazon. I think the easy at home are more widely used. Do you use the pre mom app once you’ve taken your LH test? That’s helped me note surge/peak.

Hahahaah, good for you!! I feel like I’m less interested in DTD around ovu week now as it’s not as fun 🤣

pastelpink0 · 06/11/2024 22:26

@HE93C yes maybe try testing more frequently! This month I was testing once a day then switched to twice a day when my lines started to get darker.
This month we DTD when the lines got their darkest, then a couple more times over the next few days because my lines were still dark, and then once more for luck the day after I ovulated. So I'm hoping we covered all bases.

Definitely keep testing and keep us posted 😊

It amazes me too, it wasn’t my idea trust me 😂😂 I only feel half heartedly committed, already wondering how many days I can say AF is here for 🤣. I went into last month with the same plan as you, but my body uno reversed on me and then I ovulated on the first day of my LH rise so it’s made me feel we’ve gotta get ahead of that this month!

Honestly, I feel like I’m playing chess with my own body!!?? Trying to be 3 steps ahead only for it to go check mate without me realising what’s going on 🤔😂

Edited

@KT199 your bravery amazes me, I can relate to the Cba after a long day 🤣
My plan of action if I'm out this cycle is to ONLY start DTD when my LH rises since we did too much wayyy before and lost stamina when it actually came down to DTD on peak day 🤣
If this doesn't work then I'll switch to your method. (I feel like we're managers anticipating the next game !)

I probably haven’t been doing it enough to be honest. I only did it for about a week once a day in the morning after I’d been to the gym so not first wee but had had a bit of water just not loads!

i might try do every day then jump to twice a day this time. Or also debating DTD every other day for the full cycle to see if that works 🤦🏽‍♀️ my idea of heaven tbf but my husband might not agree 😂😂 he thinks I’m a pest at the best of times haha.

good to know about the drinks not affecting the lines though, maybe I’ve just not caught it at the right time so far. Once you get a positive do you DTD straight away or the next day? There’s so much conflicting info everywhere it’s so hard to know what is right.

Agree with what @Lila34830 said! I always test twice a day from like CD10, then there’s loads of info around DTD but realistically the NHS says every 2-3 days as “advice”. We are gonna try every other day this month from AF leaving 🫣 and when I get a positive test try 3 days in a row, then carry on every other for a week and hopefully then there’s defo a chance. HOWEVER.. I’m not sure I’ll be able to sustain it as I just cba some night after a long at work 😂 so I’m just not putting any pressure there.. my ovu dates have varied and I think we’ve missed it slightly 2 out of 3 months so just trying to give it the best shot. I’ve read the most important days to try cover are days 1 and 2 before ovulation, day of and day after. So starting with your first positive LH test is a good place, but if your not completely sure you wil get a positive test could just try every other day from CD8 as SMEP recommends

@HE93C if I were you I would DTD when your LH starts rising, then in peak day and a day after!
I would recommend testing twice a day with the LH, my peak is super short, lasts about 12 hours. I'd miss it if I wasn't testing morning and evening. I trust this helps !! X

I’ll see how I get on! Thank you for the help and advice xx

How long have you been Lh testing for? I've only been testing 2 months but the first month, all my lines were faint (I was testing every day).
This month my lines started pale but got very very dark out of nowhere, which didn't happen last month!

Do you test once or twice a day? First month I tested only once a day but this month I tested twice a day for 2 weeks. Some days I would test in the morning and it would be darker than when I test in the evening, or the other way around

Hey! Just started AF properly today so back to CD1 boooo. Trying to stay positive as my cycle was a bit more normal this time round.. ovulated CD16 and had a 12 day LP. Back to it.. having a randox fertility blood test tomorrow x

Sorry to hear! I’m on CD2 so we may be close next cycle as I normally ovulate a little later CD13-17 apparently 🤣🤔

Awh I had my bloods done last month and it was reassuring to hear that everything was fine! Fingers crossed for you, keep us updated xx

I agree with @KT199 I drink so much during the day and it has never affected my LH lines, I think the strips aren't the same as the hcg strips were the hormone get diluted in the wee? Or I could be wrong ...
