My first ever two week wait! Day one post ovulation, if I’ve done the maths correctly! Anyone else?

@ThatSnugSwan I am taking a multivitamin, folic acid with D, ubiquinol and DHA. I got the Ubiquinol and DHA from Zita West online. They are both supposed to be good for egg quality in ‘older’ ladies. I did some reading about creating a fertile body. I was recommended the book ‘fertile’ by Emma Cannon by a friend. I’ve just made a few adaptations to my diet based on that. I don’t know if my mmc were due to egg quality or just unlucky that particular month and I guess I won’t know. But just thought every little helps!

ThatSnugSwan · 11/10/2024 20:25

Hi @LS888 Hope its a good month for you too and sorry for your losses 🤍
What supplements are you taking if you dont mind me asking? Im taking folic acid and vit D3. Im 34 and had my last baby 6 years ago

LS888 · 11/10/2024 19:36

Hi ladies, hope you don’t mind me joining. I’m also in the 2ww with similar dates. Currently on day 5dpo. Probably testing around 17th -20th. I’m due on my period on 17th so if I can hold out until 20th I will already be late by a few days. But I ovulate late in cycle so won’t really get a positive until I’m already late. I also had implantation bleeding with all of my pregnancies which was bleeding for 3ish days and then stopped.

I have had 3 pregnancies- first was a mmc at 9 weeks, second a healthy baby girl and third was a mmc at 7/8 weeks. The last MC I had was in July. So I’ve ramped up my nutrition, started taking some supplements and have cut a few things out of my diet to give me the best shot. I’m also 38 (39 in April) so really would like to conceive asap to complete our family. Good luck to everyone on here in the next few days/weeks.

@Clara202 I bought the test strips from boots 5 in a pack. They arent early detection ones though but thought they might satisfy me and ill do a boots early detection test on the day my period is due if I dont get it before then
After seeing so many posts on mumnet about evap lines I would avoid clear blue tests and try get a pink dye test I think boots brand early ones are pink but Im not sure

Clara202 · 11/10/2024 12:43

@ThatSnugSwan off and on but nothing overly strong. I felt something in my lower left side but again nothing that I’d describe as particularly noteworthy! Boobs still very sore but as I haven’t had periods in years (the pill), maybe I always had sore boobs before my period and just don’t remember! Any recommendations on cheap pregnancy tests? I don’t want to test too early as I wonder if I’m better off just not knowing if i have a chemical, but on the other hand is it better to know because if there’s even a hint of a line I’d know not to have a drink at the wedding tomorrow 😅

@Clara202 Yes definitely stronger twinges today, I can feel them even when standing still or sitting. Hoping its a good sign 🤞 You?

Clara202 · 11/10/2024 12:12

Any twinges anyone?😂

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 15:22

@Clara202 Im also eating all around me I stress eat 🤣🙈

ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 15:21

Im sure it was 3/4 days before AF was due. The miscarriage one Im not sure because I didnt have a period after getting the implant contraceptive bar removed I fell pregnant staright away and tested the day after the implantation bleed and got a positive. It was only a day of brown blood each time for me

Clara202 · 10/10/2024 15:07

@ThatSnugSwan do you remember what day you had the bleed? Never pregnant before so I’m taking every little twinge as a symptom, could just be the terrible diet choices I’ve been making lately 😂

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 14:21

Ive had 3 pregnancys, two healthy kids and 1 miscarriage. On all 3 I had implantation bleeding so Im constantly checking for this too, ill be stone mad by the end of the 2 weeks

ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 14:20

Looks like we are all in the same boat with the symptom spotting 🙈🤣
Day 8 is Saturday and Id be lying if I said I wont test that early but I know how obsessive I'll be especially now I bought the cheap tests

Clara202 · 10/10/2024 13:21

I woke with a sharp twinge two nights ago but I believe implantation would have been impossible that early on! What’s the earliest test day for us, day 8?

OP posts:
Marie1990x · 10/10/2024 13:14

Symptom spotting overload here 😂. Boobs have been in absolute agony for the last few days. Waiting on my progesterone blood test to come back to confirm if I ovulated 🤞🏻

ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 12:44

@Clara202 Im the same, I did have dull aches and a few twinges when I walked Tuesday evening and convinced myself it was something happening 🤣 but I know that was even too early. Counting down the days now haha

Clara202 · 10/10/2024 12:05

@ThatSnugSwan I’m symptom watching like a mad woman!😂 tender breasts, dull cramps in lower abdomen. Could mean absolutely nothing! 😅

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 10/10/2024 09:29

How is eveyone getting on? Day 5 today of the tww and Im so impatient 🙈 I even bought some cheap test strips to have them ready

ThatSnugSwan · 08/10/2024 09:12

@Clara202 Thank you so much, yes exciting times.
Thats exactly what I was thinking and I did drink alot less than I usually would at an occasion but still enjoyed myself and it was a great distraction from the obsessive baby making thoughts in my head. Enjoy the wedding 😊

Clara202 · 07/10/2024 23:07

@ThatSnugSwan oh congratulations! Such a special time, we got engaged last year and married recently, it’s all ahead of you! I’m thinking not drinking every TWW will be difficult as well, I’m not sure how putting our lives on hold for 2 weeks every month will be sustainable for however long it takes but I’ll see how it goes! I might just have 1 or 2 on the weekend and leave it at that

OP posts:
ThatSnugSwan · 07/10/2024 22:57

@Clara202 I had my own engagement party on Saturday night and had a few drinks. I dont think I will for the rest of the 2 weeks now. Its so early so I think one or two is ok, 9 months without a glass of wine is a long time haha 🤣

Clara202 · 07/10/2024 22:25

Anyone having a drink during the TWW or keeping things clean?! I’m attending a wedding on Saturday, unsure what to do yet

@Pennyroses a 19 week loss is very tough, so sorry to hear that. I’ll have everything crossed that your rainbow baby comes along shortly 🙏🏻

Thabkyou so much! Wishing you all the luck for this month too 🍀❤️

Pennyroses · 06/10/2024 17:05

ThatSnugSwan · 06/10/2024 16:32

@Pennyroses Sorry for your loss 🤍 Fingers crossed for us all this month 🤞
I feel it will be a along 2 weeks but so grateful for this forum because we are all in the same boat. It will save me driving my OH crazy 🤪

Thankyou, it really is such a long wait!! I'm going to try my best to refrain from testing early this month as I had a chemical last month and I kind of wish I just hadn't tested. I'm going to try and wait til 2 days late but easier said than done isn't it!! Good luck to you 🍀🤞

Clara202 · 06/10/2024 16:46

I don’t even know what signs to look out for! I’m only recently off the pill so I don’t even remember what an ovulation cramp etc might have felt like 😂 I have the pregnancy tests ready to go anyway, I don’t think I’ll test early, but I’ll follow your leads ladies 😂
