Just thought I'd post this to find some buddies in the TTC journey as a clueless gal trying for baby #1 ! 🫶🏽
Ovulated today, so I guess the 2WW starts ! ⏰

This is my first month trying to conceive too and I know 100% how you feel! I'm only 5 DPO and feel sooo swept up in this whole thing. Before we started this journey of ttc I knew it might take us a while to conceive but now that we've actually started, I feel like we've left it too late and I just desperately want to see that positive test. But like you I know my chances this month are slim.

Have had lots of questions and anxieties regarding age and ttc as I know it's now considered a "geriatric" pregnancy (which is just bizarre).
But just trying to take each day as it comes and any challenges we'll face when it comes to it. Trying my best not to catastrophise everything 😅 Must keep euphoric happy serotonin thoughts for little egg to get settled 😆😆

@HopefulSS and @KT199 AF due next weekend. I never have had this spotting between periods, but had it last month and period came about 5 days early so feels similar.
Kinda good my hopes are a bit dashed as definitely not tempted to test!

But we have done all we can for now, there's nothing more we can do other than support each other no matter what happens this month.

Thinking about everyone who feels a bit down this month. And remember we are badass women and we have GOT THIS!! Hope everyone keeps busy and has a great weekend Xxxx

We have done what we can do, i think before entering the ttc journey I had already read that much about how long it takes for a healthy individual that my brain has been conditioned and prepared that it's gonna likely be (but maybe not who knows!) a 8/10 months journey. There's also a lot of luck into it.
All my friends have had to try a lot before having babies.
I'm cycle 3, each negative I just tell myself that it will happen when the egg is right and when it's the perfect time ! It's not easy to think like that but it's an exercise of the brain, I had a burn out several months ago and my cycles disappeared completely (after years of getting them back on a healthy track with severe pcos) and I realised how much damage my mind did to my body. Took me ages to go back on a normal track and leave flight of fright.

I’m looking forward to the weekend!

Plan to take the dogs out for a nice long walk first thing tomorrow, go visit some family then we have booked to go see the joker in the afternoon. Then going to treat ourselves to a nice tea out.

Sunday, again long AM walk with the doggies, my best friends babies birthday party in the afternoon then out for Sunday lunch with the OH family!

Nothing crazy, but very wholesome ☺️☺️

@HeartyPanda having a chilled one over here ! We tend to gym in the morning and go for a walk which will be nice to take my mind off things :) I'll be 7/8 dpo tomorrow !

@KT199 so I'm at about 9/10 units of wine this week so I will be stopping here lol. Try to keep under 14 units a week. I shall now start with my tea and chocolate once I've finished working. I agree I've told myself now onto the next month & thats that. If AF doesn't show it will be a nice surprise. If she does, well now I expect her anyway. Going to get snuggled with my pups soon too, they've been out all day I've missed them. Just need a good crime film now 😂

I've done exactly this... "babe can you please stop and get me a box of decaf PG tips as I've run out, a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon blanc & a massive bar of chocolate" 😂 just so hard! I'm going to stick some lentil curry in the slow cooker, have a wine & have a nice long dog walk. I know it's not my month now so I'm making a conscious effort to let it go!

Good choice of wine 😂😂😂 I’ve got my chocolate, cup of tea and debating a takeaway since it’s already almost 7pm and we have nothing in!! Settled on the sofa now with the dogs watching tv! Feeling nice and relaxed despite the bad news earlier ☺️ can’t let it consume and ruin my full weekend!

I’ve just got home from work.. purposely held my wee from about lunch time, stupidly went and did a test.. ofc it’s negative 🙈 I swear I won’t test again now until Monday as clearly there is no point.

This game isn't easy... I won't bother now either. I'm not pregnant I know I'm not. All hope has gone now so onto the next month x
