CD1 - who's with me

Hi!

Just hoping for some company as I start again on CD1 today!

I'm ttc baby 2, this is my second cycle trying! My daughter took just under 12 months to conceive so I'm hopeful I can get pregnant a bit quicker this time, especially as my daughter is already 4.

This month I'm taking proceive max, high dose Omega 3, and CoQ-10 and hoping to achieve 10,000 a day to help with obsessing less 😂

Promised myself this cycle I will. Not. Test. Early 🫣

Last cycle was 25 day cycle, I'm usually between 25 and 28 days! Tracking BBT and using OPKs ☺️

@amichel do you know what you're looking for? There's a special type you can take, if you don't know let me know and I'll find it for you (cough syrup). I'm going to try it for this month and if it doesn't work I won't do it again but worth a shot!

I'm not sure what to look for, if you have any suggestions that would be great! Peak ovulation test this afternoon but only CD8 which is early for me.

Hello!
May I join? I think I’m a day behind you, I’m CD5 today. We’ve been TTC our second living baby since February - had a MMC in March and two CPs the following two cycles and now nothing seems to be happening! I have 24-27 day cycles. I’m just struggling mentally with the disappointment each month, especially when it used to be so easy to conceive!

Happibara · 19/09/2024 11:49

Thank you @Bb542 ! I'm actually very pleased we've finally reached the point when we're getting checked, and if it doesn't work out we'll just try again next month.

I would not worry about a negative today - statistics show 85 percent implantations happen at 8-10 DPO, and only around 5 percent at 6-7 DPO. So it's entirely possible implantation is just happening or will in the next two days; and then your endocrine system must react and produce enough HCG to show on test... so actually 8 DPO would be extremely early for a BFP.

Are you planning to test daily, or just wait a few days?

Aw I'm glad you're doing well and that you're getting checked too. We're starting investigations into recurrent miscarriage too so I know how you're feeling. Hopefully we'll both get lucky soon ❤️

I don't have any more tests at the moment but I've ordered some on Amazon and hopefully they'll arrive tomorrow 🤞🏼 so yes, I'll probably test every day 😂 even though I promised myself I wouldn't. But I actually need to start progesterone and aspirin as soon as I find out I'm pregnant so I'm probably better off testing early x

Hi lovely. I'm 8dpo today. I tested this morning and it's negative 💔 I've had positives before at 8dpo so I'm a bit gutted but hopefully I'm still in with a chance 🙏🏼 how are you doing?
@Happibara I hope it all works out for you this month but it's good that you are doing some investigations. It'll all work out ❤️
@Henski sounds like you are getting close to ovulation 🤞🏼

Henski · 19/09/2024 08:37

Hi All,
CD10 for me, started opk yesterday. Both yesterday and today the test line was about 50% colour so hoping I’m ovulating fairly soon.
@Happibara we had the same issue couple months back, we only managed to dtd the day after the test and that was the only time in the fertile window however that did end in a bfp so hopefully you get one chance as that’s all you need sometimes!

Happibara · 19/09/2024 08:25

Hello Ladies

How are you all? Are you ready to start OPKs soon? I'm CD7 today so I think I'll start tomorrow.

Life update is a bit dispiriting: my partner is scheduled for semen analysis next week (which we waited for months and can't be rescheduled easily) and it will likely totally interfere with our TTC naturally efforts! Apparently you have to abstain for at least 48 hours before the test... which is right in the middle of the fertile window!

So I'm hoping for early ovulation and that we will manage to dtd at least reasonably close to it early in the fertile window... but I'm trying to reconcile myself that this month the timing just won't work out.

Will do all the tracking I planned though, at least I'll have a better reference for next month.

sellingupslow · 19/09/2024 07:22

Hey ladies!

How is everyone?

@Bb542 how are you? How many dpo are you now?

@Bb542 how are you feeling today?

How's everyone else? I did my first gym session today for at least a year, I'm trying to get a bit healthier by working out and eating better!

I'm on CD3 today, hopefully my period will be done tomorrow!

Going to start doing OPKS from CD9 I think

I'm doing ok thanks ❤️ I'm very crampy today and exhausted. Could be a total coincidence though. I'll test at the weekend if I haven't got my period by then 👀

Well done for going back to the gym 😍 how did it feel? I need to go back too. Wish there were more hours in the day 😂

Henski · 16/09/2024 20:21

CD7 for me still spotting a little, think I will start testing from CD9 too.
I’ve been doing reformer pilates last few weeks to keep active.

@sellingupslow

Thank you! I had a gut feeling something wasn't right from the super faint tests and I should have waited before doing a digital.

I'm going to have a look online to see where I can purchase it from. I've read lots over the past few days of people taking cough medicine, baby aspirin and all sorts. I'm going to give it a go this month.

The bleeding is coming to an end. I'll start testing with OPKs from tomorrow. Last cycle was the first time we've done it on peak day and we conceived so I'm aiming to dtd on peak day again🤞🏼x

Henski · 15/09/2024 12:51

@Bb542 yeah I was, left the group quietly couldn’t quite bring myself to tell everyone I was miscarrying.

Bb542 · 15/09/2024 11:06

Thank you @sellingupslow ❤️ I'd be happy to stay if you guys are happy for me to 😂❤️

@Henski yes I was! My second pregnancy was due in Feb 25. Were you in the WhatsApp group too?

Henski · 15/09/2024 10:51

@Bb542 yeah I had medication before surgery but I had no pain, even after I think I cramped for 1 day. My HCG was over 122000 it took about 6.5 weeks for me to test negative, that was torture. Were you in the Feb 2025 chat I think I remember your username.

sellingupslow · 15/09/2024 10:18

@Bb542 no stay! We're all here for each other no matter how far along you are!

Bb542 · 15/09/2024 08:59

@sellingupslow thank you so much ❤️ I hope you're doing ok too. It sounds like you're doing all the right things ❤️ hopefully it won't take as long for you this time xx

@Henski I can totally relate. Did you have to take the medication to dilate the cervix before the surgery? I found it so painful. I was so glad to feel no physical pain after the surgery (although I did have cramping for a few days after). I got my period exactly 28 days after the surgery so it was a normal cycle luckily. The only issue now is I've found out through testing that I've low egg reserve and low oestrogen levels so I'm a little worried about that. But yes you are right to be positive. We are able to get pregnant and that's a huge positive. I know a lot of people have recommended taking aspirin to help next time 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Also girls I am so sorry, I read the title of the thread as "1DPO"... not cycle day 1. I'm probably way too far along in my cycle to be on this thread. I'm so sorry 🙈

Henski · 15/09/2024 08:47

@Bb542 It was tough, on one hand I was in sooo much physical pain i couldn’t eat or sleep and I instantly felt so much better after the procedure but then I felt terribly guilty for feeling like that. Taking the positive that I managed to get pregnant and that it will happen again. This is my first period after the miscarriage.
how are you doing? Did you have a long cycle as well ?

sellingupslow · 15/09/2024 08:34

Hi @Bb542

Sorry to hear about your losses, that sounds super stressful. TTC is such a mentally tough time at the best of times so I really feel for you, but your symptoms sound positive so I'm keeping everything crossed for you ❤️

Hi @amichel ☺️

Sorry to hear about your chemical, I hope you're ok.

So I don't fully understand how C0Q10 works, but I'd been trying for a while with daughter and the month I took coq10 I got pregnant with her, so now I just take it as mark of my daily ttc meds!

I'm CD2 so we're so close! Do you use OPK's?

Hi @Bb542 I had a miscarriage back in July (surgically removed) and they told me to wait 3 cycles but then my doctor said 1 cycle is enough, they’re not very consistent. Not like they can do anything if you get pregnant 😊

I'm so sorry you went through this too @Henski . How are you doing? I also had surgery in July for a MMC and it's been tough. Hope you're okay and hopefully we get lucky this time ❤️

Bb542 · 15/09/2024 07:56

Hi ladies, mind if I join? I think I'm 4dpo today. TTC #1 following 2 losses within the last 6 months. Had surgery for a missed miscarriage a few months ago. Didn't really plan on trying again so soon but here we are. Feeling nervous but hopeful.

So far I've been feeling exhausted and had a blood/metal taste in my mouth yesterday. I only have had this when I've been pregnant so we will see.

Currently going through tests for recurrent miscarriage and they've advised not to get pregnant while tests are ongoing so I'm a little scared 🙈

How's everyone today?

amichel · 15/09/2024 07:48

Thanks for the invite @Henski :)

TTC baby #2 and on our 6th cycle. I'm on CD3 after a chemical pregnancy.
Sending you all baby dust and hopefully this is our cycle🤞🏼

@sellingupslow I haven't heard of CoQ-30, is it a vitamin to help with TTC?
After doing some research I've been debating taking baby aspirin this cycle.
I'm also refusing to test early, I'll try and wait until I'm a few days late😅x
