Back at the start of another TWW… anyone else at the same point and fancy being TWW buddies?
We have tried the SMEP method and conceive plus lubricant this month, time will tell if they have made a difference!🤞🏼

@Bb542 @Littlebean25 @owlcat24 sending hugs to all 🩷🩷🩷
im feeling crampy too now so guess its a sign im probably coming on in a few days.

LuxyLocket · 22/09/2024 07:27

I’m not convinced enough so going to say a bfn for me as well this morning. I would have hoped for a more visible line by this time in the cycle so not getting my hopes up too much.
I did the water test as advised yesterday and when I hold them together. By my naked eye and lots of focussing I can sort of see something on the top test. I was trying to rule out if it was an indent. But really not convinced at this point.

@owlcat24 I know 🙄 Wanting AF now although we're on hold till Dec due to some plans next year. I'll be following for the ride because I'm invested in you ladies 🥰

owlcat24 · 22/09/2024 06:24

@Littlebean25 it's so faint, it's ridiculous! The control line is barely there!

Littlebean25 · 22/09/2024 06:20

Bfn for me too and I feel like the cramps I'm having are AF ones now 😔 Day 28 of cycle 11dpo

Feel cheated by these boots cheapies also! They're sooo light it's ridiculous!

@Bb542 I have also accepted now and didn't bother testing this morning. Just want AF to arrive and move onto the next cycle.

Bb542 · 22/09/2024 05:45

BFN for me this morning. I've accepted now I'm not pregnant. Just going to wait for AF now. Feeling deflated and frustrated ☹️

I think it goes up to 1000 posts, I’ll make a new thread tomorrow and post the link 🩷

I feel like we need to start a new one asap!

I think threads can only go to 22 pages maybe? Xx

Emiily887 · 21/09/2024 22:25

@LuxyLocket i was a thread ‘watcher’ for ages, then I joined a thread a few months ago but it tailed off and was nothing like this one! I was debating whether to make my own but I wanted to see if anyone else was with me in real time if that makes sense! So glad I did because the support on this thread is absolutely amazing from everyone! And not one judgemental person telling us to ‘just stop testing’🥲

Aww I totally agree this has been such a lovely vibe on here. I ummed and ahhhd about joining Mumsnet for support ttc and it’s the best decision I made. 🩷
you’ve all been so nice and we’ve supported eachother. I didn’t know threads could be as nice as this.
and thank you @Bb542 one day that will be us at the farms and parks I know it 🤍🤍🤍

@Emiily887 Hear hear!!! 👏👏👏

and @Bb542 it is so so tough and you grin and smile and be happy for them and a part of you is of course but it’s also like a hurt in your heart cos you know the friendship has changed and you’re watching them all get closer and do baby stuff together which naturally you can’t join in with. My friends do invite me to stuff and I’ve gone to farms/soft plays just so it feels like I’m seeing my friends but I always feel like a spare part and I don’t fit as I’m the one there without a child.

sorry that probably sounds poor me!!! I honestly love my life with my husband and we have a good life in lots of ways. I just have to accept friendships change and as @Emiily887 says the 20/30s are where paths divide and that’s just how it is

Edited

Sending you lots of love ❤️ I totally know how you're feeling. I have felt like a spare part too at times, even though my friends are the best and always invite me everywhere with them and the kids 🥰 they're also all so confident with babies and I get scared holding one 😂 I just have very little experience.

I feel like we'd all be friends in real life 🫶🏼

On that same note, it’s partly why I love this thread so much! There’s not many people I would tell that I’ve sat, POAS, got my torch out, done a whole investigation on the test, put it in the bin, got it back out and repeated the same process countless times🤣 yet here we are, a group of strangers, at the same stage but with different stories and dynamics supporting eachother to ride the crazy testing train, supporting eachother after each negative, congratulating eachother on the positives and analysing each others tests with absolutely no judgement. So for that, thank you!

@Emiily887 you've hit the nail on the head with your last line there. That is so true.

Bb542 · 21/09/2024 21:46

While it's awful that we all feel the same way, it gives me a little bit of comfort knowing I'm not the only one who feels like this. I am so ready to settle down and have been for a couple of years, but it just hasn't worked out yet.
I definitely agree that I feel left behind sometimes. I feel like my friends who have babies already have become closer because they have a commonality by all having babies of similar ages. I wish I could be on the same journey as them but it just hasn't worked out 💔 TTC can be so tough 💔

Emiily887 · 21/09/2024 21:42

Bb542 · 21/09/2024 21:30

Does anyone else feel stuck in life sometimes? I feel like half of my friends are at the stage where they're getting married, having babies and the other half are still going out every weekend and partying. I feel like because I've no children yet I'm expected to want to be go out when all I want is my own little family. It's such a weird feeling - it's like I want to be in a different stage of my life but I can't get there 😫💔

All the time!! I was one of the first to have a baby (mentioned earlier she was unplanned but never anything less than the best surprise and my mini bestie) amongst my friends and I always struggled to fit in with their lives! I just wanted to stay home with my baby but when I did go out (a rarity🤣) I felt out of place! Even now half are married and happy with kids and there’s some that are single, love to go to the pub still and aren’t interested in kids (which is fine but I never really see them anymore because I don’t think I could ever keep up now🤣) What I’m trying to say is whatever stage we’re at, there’s constant expectations of what we should be doing! I think 20s/30s are the hardest years because lots of people find themselves at a very strange cross road of what they should be doing, but in reality all we should be doing is what we want to do🩷

@Bb542 absolutely - I've watched all my friends and family have babies since I've been TTC, many have had a second or are pregnant with their second. Very few have had issues or had to wait as long as I have. It's a really hard place to be.

LuxyLocket · 21/09/2024 21:39

@Bb542 Totally this and I’m with you here. have felt left behind sometimes. But my husband reminds me ‘they do them and we do us. We are on our own path’
I def feel that with my friends who have babies now the dynamics have changed. Especially since my mc. It’s not that they havnt been supportive it’s just its different and we are at different stages.

Bless you, it's so hard when TTC isn't as quick as others have it and you feel like you're waiting for your life to start.

But I'd say you have started it, and you're on the way. It'll happen and be so worth the wait xx

Emiily887 · 21/09/2024 21:33

@boymumtoone of course I’ll be testing in the morning🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 can’t help myself! I really hope so, thank you 🩷

@boymumtoone due on my apps on 24th but I’m nearly always a day later than it predicts so going with 25th, so 4 days to go. Normally back ache starts a day or two, 3 at an absolute push before af so I suppose that’s different! And it’s usually a gradual build up, this came suddenly and was moderate straight away. I’d love to know🤣

Will you be texting in the morning? I defo think this is a sign for you. 🤞🏼
