I'm clocking up a silly amount of time here (and I know it says not to read them after so long... but I can't help it!) I don't know whether it's the faintest line in the world or if I'm just spotting an oasis in the desert. It's addictive this testing isn't it?
I'm new to this board by the way... Just feeling a bit obsessive and addicted to the whole testing thing! Need to get a grip. But how?????

Oh I see, well it doesn't matter, because I have been racking my brains to try and think of who your style reminds me of, and I can't remember!

Well the supermarkets close at 4 don't forget And don't be lured by the cheaper test's, FR or nothing!!

imaginarybluelines · 20/04/2008 11:13

no - I don't think so. I am a newbie really or a bit of a lurker who is a newbie to posting anyhow...Thanks for listening to my ramblings! It's amazing how the need to know just takes over. At least I have got a busy afternoon planned to distract me! Which I am sure will involve popping to the supermarket for more tests!

Clearblue is known for being pretty crap when it comes to early testing.

Go and get a couple of FR's they are your best bet.

NatalieJane · 20/04/2008 11:04

BTW, as an aside, do I 'know' you on MN, your style seems very much like someone, but I can't put my finger on who!

imaginarybluelines · 20/04/2008 11:04

clear blue. I will lkeave it a while longer before testing again. It is just soooooooo hard to do. I am so impatient!

What tests are you using?

I think First Response's are the best, although they are not fool proof, even when your period is due.

With DS2 I didn't get a BFP until I was 9 days late, I think I bought every type of test available in that time, the first one that showed up BFP was those Predictor ones, but from what I have read on here, people don't rate them much.

imaginarybluelines · 20/04/2008 11:00

The battery in my camera is dead I am afraid. And it is so faint I bet you wouldn't see it in a picture. It's just all so frustrating. Which are the best tests to use do you think, as these are very unclear? Or maybe I am just testing too early.

Take a pic, take a pic, take a pic

imaginarybluelines · 20/04/2008 10:26

Grrrrrr. So this morning has made thing even more unclear! The test looked (albein incredibly faint yet again!) more like the one Belgo mentioned yest - with the top half of the cross but not the bottom! Grrrrrrrrr.
So that's really helped things!
Weird as yesterdays looks so much more like a positive than todays, yet I tested yest at about 1.30 in the afternoon, and tested today 1st thing in the morning. So that probably means neg I guess.
Step away from the tests imaginary (repeat mantra to self)

Thanks NJ good luck this month.

NatalieJane · 19/04/2008 16:59

Don't worry about the thickness, a line is a line

Congrats pixsix

pixsix · 19/04/2008 16:55

Hope you get the answer you want soon

imaginarybluelines · 19/04/2008 16:48

Goddamnyou pixsix - and I had managed to put it down and everything! Am all freshly excited again now. Maybe skinny isn't so bad after all then? Thanks for info!
Congratulations to you though! Fantastic news!

Hi imaginarybluelines don't want to make you stare at it even longer but I got a bfp on Clear Blue last month on CD27, the line was really skinny, pale blue and to one side like you described. Took a first response and it was much easier to see that it was + even though faint. Good luck!

imaginarybluelines · 19/04/2008 16:00

Thanks - will check it out.
Yes the line was within the time but so so so so faint - and skinny! They are all lovely, chunky, fat crosses in the picture! Even the faint ones. I think I will just have to wait and test again in the morning. Or in a few days if I can wait. (Who am I kidding????) Or maybe show it to my DH before I waste another test because of my imaginary lines madness!
Thanks for all your help everyone! I shall pop over to your thread to say Hi NJ.

Just looked myself and I can't find the page I was on about, I am sure they used to have a page with a load of evap.line pic's next to BFP pic's

If you look under the FAQ page there is a picture of an evap. line on there.

When did the line you are seeing come up? Was it within the time limit?

imaginarybluelines · 19/04/2008 15:22

NJ - trying to find the bit on POAS where you can look at other tests... you know which heading it's under?

lardylumps · 19/04/2008 15:14

PMSL at drawing in your own line....

NatalieJane · 19/04/2008 15:12

I have 'seen' lines that aren't there before, you wouldn't be the first, and I'm sure not the last.

Though strangly, when I got the faintest of faint lines with DS2 I just knew it was a proper BFP.

The fact you can see colour is a very good sign

imaginarybluelines · 19/04/2008 15:11

cariboo - the same stick? I have actually debated that too! Then maybe getting out a big blue felt tip and adding my own line as well just for good measure!
I would be just as happy with the return of my period at the moment as a BFP - at least I would know where I stand!

OP posts:
belgo · 19/04/2008 15:10

Could have been me! I'm still annoyed that test cost me 12 euros or so so wasn't cheap!

NatalieJane · 19/04/2008 15:09

LOL Cariboo, now that's dedication, I've never done that!!

Belgo, I am either remebering you saying about that test before, or someone else had one like it.

Imaginary, you can chart yout temperature, put your salva under a microscope, feel for the postion of your cervix, or do like me and wing it on looking for the Egg White Cervical Mucous, and an increased sex drive.

imaginarybluelines · 19/04/2008 15:09

Hmmmm - will check that site out now. Thanks NJ. The test is clearblue and the line is slightly off centre, and slightly blue. But like I said before (crazy as it sounds!) It might not even be there! Now I sound mad as a hatter!

OP posts:
belgo · 19/04/2008 15:05

imaginarybluelines - it could be the return of your period, it could be that you're pregnant.

Don't be depressed though if it's your period - at least that is a sign you are ovulating again!
