LOL Ceebee, my DS says that rhyme he loves the bit that goes, Grace was a dirty girl who didn't wash her face. My mother used to tell it to me. I know I know MJIM will be sorely disappointed with me I am going to sit at the back of the class and keep very quiet. I have learnt my lesson.

ceebee74 · 05/06/2008 21:25

Soosy - you know that patience is a virtue and if MJIM was around, she would have slapped your hand for doing the test The clothes issue would be ok but my brother and his gf have very little money so have been relying on DS's clothes rather than having to buy their own and it looks like that is going to be their only option unless my Ds has a sudden growth spurt!

HC - Alex is not slimey, he is yummy! Oh no, I forgot, you prefer Sayid over Sawyer - why why why?? Did you not watch it on Sunday when Sawyer came out of the sea topless????

Evening all

Am officially knackered-have been in the garden all day and ended up cutting the grass so finished at 6-20pm. The girls were so good waiting patiently for me. We all jumped in the bath then I got tea ready. Hanging baskets look lovely and have lots of tomato plants potted up.

Good news-the company wanting to buy 50% of FIL's company doesn't even have the cash! Stoopid lot! Phewee anyway-although some git broke into the compound last night and stole some alloy wheels. DH has spotted a rogue van tonight and called the police but doubt anything can be done about it.

soosy-naughty, naughty doing an HPT. Don't blame you though. Hope it turns +ive in the end.

ceebee-you and I really don't share the same taste in men. Alex is very slimey.

majormoo-poor little DD. Hope her lip doesn't hurt too much in the morning-bless.

Bellie-roll on 3-20pm. Why are scans always so late in the day? Good luck! Like the John Wayne time of the month.

ChocEclair-I would love a 4D scan but simply can't afford one.

willmouse-I believe that DD1 has the same problem in that she is naughty due to being quite avancded for her age. It is good to hear that about DS1.

Am waffling now so waves to everyone else.

Oh Ceebee! DS has a cousin like that, we just don't pass anything on anymore!

Bellie good luck with your scan tomorrow, I hope you see you little bean(s) just in case!

Willmouse Child genius brillant, how old is he? sorry about af, but like HC says the new job may be the stress buster.

CE I didn't want a 4D scan either, apparently it shows you exactly what they look like and as I had found his sex I wanted something to be a surprise! Also you have to be careful when you do it, too early you won't see enough and too late you can't fit the baby on the screen.

Juanita, BB can be useful during breastfeeding at night! I have friends who watch it only when they were pg and feeding!

Majormoo hope DD ok, sounds horrid.

HC time for peeing again, good luck!

Mandy, LOL about Mr Wayne! I have a hugely funny picture of you and you DH!

Am feeling a bit better today, still look four months pg, trying to hide it under clothes, just don't want anyone to ask if I am pg. Have also had a bit more spotting yesterday and today, so not feeling v optimistic. I did a HPT, which was very stupid, as it is too early even for a first response, and negative, I am desperate for an answer. Am thinking of my next cycle, and maybe using another clinic.

Love to everyone i have missed.

Sx

ceebee74 · 05/06/2008 20:00

Majormoo - I am surprised you don't like Alex but I guess that just leaves him for me

Bellie - good luck tomorrow - will have my fingers crossed for you.

CE - I am not keen on the 4D scans at all tbh as they freak me out - but that is just a personal thing. I can't look at the photos or anything

Willmouse - that sounds lovely about your DS - no wonder you are proud of him!

Juanitad - stay away from the remote cos once you have watched BB, you won't be able to escape!

My mum has just rung and asked if I could get DS's 9-12 month clothes ready for her to pick up next week to take to my brother, as they are going to visit him next weekend, whose DS is only 6 months old ! Apparently he is growing out of the 6-9 month ones already! The worst thing is DS is still in his 12-18 months clothes so in a couple of months, I suspect his cousin who is 16 months younger than him will be the same size and it will be my brother lending clothes to us !

majormoo · 05/06/2008 19:29

er not sure what happened with my post-CE I meant to say of you had a 4D scan for fun you can see everything which could be very exciting

juanitad · 05/06/2008 19:05

Hi all,

Was adamant I would not watch Big Bro this year - I used to watch it religiously, but finally managed to give it up last year, and was soooo glad that I did! However I think I may be in danger today. DH (the voice of reason) is away tonight, and I can see myself just flicking on to C4 later, to see them going in, then no doubt I will get hooked. Will really try to resist the urge!!!

CE - staff at school all in the know now. Am not going to tell the kids, am going to let them work it out for themselves. It's a bit of a tricky one really, isn't it? Telling all the kids, would involve me telling 10 different classes, but it will soon be ovious anyway. In fact for the first time today, I wore a top that looks like a maternity top (although it isn't in fact) - and there were certainly a lot of looks from the kids. I reckon it will take a few days for them to pluck up the courage to ask, but I'll be glad when it's common knowledge!

Bellie, lots of luck for scan tomorrow!

majormoo · 05/06/2008 18:57

Bellie good luck tomorrow
Willmouse glad the new job is going well. Hope your body settles down next month! And fab that you have a child genius.
Soosy hope you are feeling brighter

HC you sound like you are in a better mood-hope so. Good luck for this month.

mandy you never know-it may have worked. fingers crossed.

CE glad you are feeling OK. Personally would not have a 4D scan but that is only because in our pregnancy that went pearshaped I had to spend ages in a 4D scanning room. This was all for their research which I agreed to, as it is obviously really important, but would not fancy doing it again. So saying, if you are having one for

As for Big Brother, I used to love it, but it has got dull recently. Still, I will watch it tonight. In fact I will probably ending up watching it upstairs as I will get so fed up of endless footie from Saturday! No fun for me without England, but DH will still really enjoy it.

Had some drama today. DD's school called for us to pick her up as she fell over and split her lip on a wheelbarrow! They could not stop the bleeding. She looked so fragile when I picked her up-sitting there with a really bloody mouth and bloody tissues in her hands. Took her to A and E, and it was all a bit gory-as she opended her mouth lots of clots came out (sorry if TMI but it reminded me for those with kids, on a smaller scale, of clots after giving birth)Anyway they sorted her out and all OK now, but what a way to spend an afternoon

Juanitad I am with you on Alex. Do not like him at all. And Ceebee-usually we agree on men too!! Not sure I want any of them left to win really.

ChocolateEclair · 05/06/2008 16:54

Bellie - typed at same time as you! Really really really good luck for tomorrow. I will be thinking all my best positive thoughts for you.

ChocolateEclair · 05/06/2008 16:52

I don't watch the apprentice so can't comment on any of that

Willmouse - sorry AF showed up. That was a very short cycle wasn't it? Hope this month brings you happiness (in whatever form it may be!). Also WOW about your ds! That must make it easier when he's naughty - you can just say "oh it's because he's soooo clever" really loud! Yes - remember this day!

Juanitad - how's the pg? Have you told many people at school yet? When will you tell the kids or won't you?

ceebee - I also find BBrother to be full of exactly the kind of people I try to avoid, so don't plan on watching it!. DP says he wants to so I may end up seing a few but God knows why?!?!? How's beanie today?

HC - go get peeing girl! Hope you are feeling enthusiastic ready for BD days! Did you have fun doing the hanging baskets?

Hi to everyone else...not sure where you all are today!

I have had a good day, no sickness and not too tired for once! (although boobs/nipples killing) pmsl! Played my usual Thursday rounders match and was very wary of getting hit in the stomach and not running too fast!
I was looking at those 4D scans on the internet today. Has anyone had one? Is it worth the money? (about £95-£190 depending on how many pics/DVD's/info you want)??? Just curious
CE xx

Bellie · 05/06/2008 16:51

Well I survived the farm!! Made sure that I didn't touch any animals (apart from a rabbit) so should be ok. Don't think that I made anyone suspicious as when it came to feeding the animals I volunteered to look after the ones that didn't want to get in the pens to do it!

Very tired though as is dd so hopefully early nights all round today then!

Sorry Af has showed willmouse, but at least you know where you are again now. Well done your ds! That is brilliant! Sounds like the job is going well too - hopefully things on the up in the willmouse house!

Oh HC - getting to your 'John Wayne' time of the month (do you think we should officially rename it lol!) Hope you got your hanging baskets done.

Waves at Soosy - hope things are ok with you. Wher are you in the 2ww?

Dh away tonight so may have a peek at BB, although have not watched the last 2 series as got a bit predictable and boring, but depending on whether I am still awake or not .......

Majormoo - glad the scan went well. Another milestone reached eh?

First milestone for me tomorrow - 3.20pm so fingers crossed beanie in the right place this time!

juanitad · 05/06/2008 15:56

ceebee, I'm going to have to disagree with you about Alex. There's something that really gets on my nerves about him. I know he's good looking, but he just doesn't do it for me, and I hate the way he kept going on about being 24 and how he went to private school for 14 years - is he claiming he got a better education than anyone who didn't go to private school? Sorry, teachers ranting is never good! Also, he gets so defensive and also tries to stitch everybody else up. As you may hae gathered, I am not his biggest fan, so really hoping he doesn't win!!

MrsPuddleduck · 05/06/2008 15:08

Well, I have had an enlightening day with DS1's teacher. She has told me that the reason he behaves the way he does because he is very intellingent and doesn't have the social skills or maturity to deal with it. And he can read - albeit only 3 letter words but I very proud of him!

I may frame this posting so I can look back on it next time he is in disgrace! (probably tomorrow - it is class photo day LOL!)

Off to work in a min.......hope you all have a good evening!

ceebee74 · 05/06/2008 10:31

The Apprentice was fab wasn't it? I think Siralan can't choose between Claire and Alex and as he splits them up next week, he doesn't have to make the decision does he? Mmmmmm...Alex....mmmmmm

As for BB - I used to watch it every series but it is just SO time-consuming and I just got fed up with the complete show-offs who got on so I didn't watch it last series and I won't be watching this one either!

Willmouse - sorry your AF turned up and I hope this cycle is a 'normal' one for you. Glad the job is going well - sounds quite interesting!

Will try and catch up properly later but need to go and do some work.

HumphreysCorner · 05/06/2008 09:46

Oh soz AF showed willmouse but I found after TTC for a year I changed Branches of the Bank so much happier with things and fell PG that month. Hope this is the same for you, I used to be an avid BB fan but the last few years have made me yawn a tad. Will catch some episodes at the start then tend to watch the last few weeks once the dross has been eliminated.

Morning all

Job went well last night. I have now got the hang of cold calling people who have been beaten up !! Also looked after Godson yesterday morning which again, went really well. DH says he is going to buy a Taxi so he can send me out working in the evenings as well

AF turned up yesterday (CD25 - officially my shortest cycle ever!). Let's hope things get back on track next month.

HC - I know what you mean about diets. I am now officially bored with Special K and have only lost 1lb so far this week (well, in the last 3 days so perhaps not too bad). I blame wine entirely for my weight problem. The only real way I am going to lose weight is to cut back or eat less

Bellie - hope you get on OK at the farm. Watch out for the lambs (I hear they are potentially deadly in early pregnancy).

Mandy - hope you're OK cowboy! LOL!

CE - don't worry about 12 week scan. You will DEFINITELY get one!

Soosy, hope you are feeling better today.

Majormoo - I'm glad that the scan went well. You must feel relieved with results like that!

I also love the apprentice. I am quite glad Lucinda went, she was getting on my nerves. Can't wait for the final next week!!!

Anyone going to be watching Big Brother tonight? We gave it up about 3 years ago due to the fact that it ends up consuming your whole summer.....for some reason DH wants to watch it again which is odd because he hates it more than me may just switch on to see which gays and strays go in this time!

Mandy73 · 04/06/2008 23:24

Majormoo, so happy your scan was fine.

Bellie, you're a brave woman entering that farm. Channel the mum in The Little House on the Prarie if it gets rough.

Willmouse, you're good to iron! I gave it up I was so rubbish.

HC, thanks! I know what you're saying about the wine... Had glass'o beer for the Apprentice though. I've told a friend too. She's PG #2, DS took 3 years TCC, multiple MCs, so v understanding.

CE, thanks... I'll change my user name to Wayne in a minute.

MJIM, you and DS are both sooo cute!

Soosy, thanks. I can't imagine what the wait must be like on IVF. So sorry you're feeling horrible, hope tomorrow is better. x

HM2J, any magnums left?? Hope you can relax a bit now.

Hmm. So it's 48 + 24... Should have stuck with BD a bit longer in hindsight but hey. Mr Wayne is getting on a bit after all.

Waving to everyone.

HumphreysCorner · 04/06/2008 20:49

Majormoo, glad everything is looking good! Now you can enjoy your pregnancy.

MJIM sounds like you had a lovely time yesterday your DS is really cute, much cuter than the 2 girls I can hear next door playing their recorders really badly!

Bellie, stay away from the poo! and make sure you wash your hands after touching the animals, as you are pg. You maybe should tell someone at the farm you are pregnant.

Mandy yes 36 - 48 hours after smiley is when you ovulate and the egg lives for another 24 hrs after that, so you have done ok! 2 ww is the longest 2weeks in your life esp with IVF!

I am feeling horrible, my progesterone pessaries (SP)/suppositories are making me feel about four months pg and giving me very painful wind. This of course is no indicator that I am pg I wish that it were. I am also knackered as DH went away on business this am and left at 5am leaving me wide awake! Hope tomorrow better as I feel a little glum.

ChocolateEclair · 04/06/2008 18:54

hi to everyone
Majormoo - sooooo glad for you that scan was good. I have not been able to get you off my mind since yesterday. You must be so very relieved. Those odds are tiny but yes, it is a real fear. Hope you can now relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

bellie- sickness and farms don't really go do they? and lots of toddlers? Hmm, good luck! I worked my dates out wrong and the doctor told me I am not 6 weeks til sunday, so you are a little ahead of me! It went OK though, Blood pressure and pulse normal (despite fear of doctors!) and he filled out a form for the midwife to contact me in a few weeks. He kept talking about the 20 week scan, but never mentioned a 12 week one. Is it feasilble that they don't do them here???? Not sure I want to wait til 20 weeks!

MJIM - the birthday sounds lovely, despite the weather being out to get you. It is awful when your plans are ruined isn't it? 25 is still REALLY young! Oh, what I would give to be 25 again! (tell him that)Also, sorry you have conjunctivis that's horrible. Hope your ds and dh don't get it.

HC - that's so nice of your friend to be able to tell you. And now at least you can talk to her. You don't want to tell close family etc as all you get is "any luck yet??" etc which is very annoying! Wine sounds good...build up your enthusiasm for BD days!

willmouse - hope your 2nd day was ok. Diets? Pah! I'm rubbish! I do try to eat healthy, especially no, but I HATE being hungry. Good luck!

Mandy - yeah, I reckon you did well for 48 hours! You can probably have a rest now...(Mandy aka John Wayne!)

hope everyone else is ok, HM2J, soosy, BB, angel, Juanitad etc

majormoo · 04/06/2008 18:29

MJIM-we often end up having picnics in the car. I reckon they will be memorable for the kids!

My scan was fine yesterday which is a huge relief. I find scans impossibly difficult and it went on for AGES as the baby keep moving when they wanted to get the measurements. Plus at Kings they have two people do the scans-so someone more junior does it first, then the expert. I was gripping my cross for dear life and just praying for it to be over. Still, all looks good. Trisomy 21 odds are 1 in 9600 and Trisomy 13/19 1 in 4300. Obviously you could still be the one, but really pleased.

Soosy really hope your FET has worked.

HM2J good you have a date for the scan.

HC sorry to hear things are tough. I would hate my in-laws to turn up unannounced on my holiday

Willmouse glad job going well

CE hope the sickness improves. About six weeks is when I tend to start feeling rubbish.

Bellie hope the farm trip is OK

Ceebee-i am very excited about the apprentice tonight.

Hi to everyone else

Bellie · 04/06/2008 17:50

MJIM - sorry about your dh's birthday picnic - it is so annoying about the weather - and hope your FIL is ok (but a small grr at him for moaning at you). Glad you enjoyed your meal last night though! At least you celebrated 25! DH spent the day on the sofa under the duvet when he was 25 convinced the end of the world was nigh!

Willmouse - sounds like you are still busy! Did you speak to anyone last night? Did it go OK? Hope you are not going to get too tired to bd [sink]

HC - what a lovely person you must be for people to confide in you . Obviously it is tinged with a bit of envy/sadness for you but at least you have someone in RL to talk to about it now too.

Fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon dd playing happily and managed to get about 30 mins before I was rudely awakened by a soft toy being given to me to snuggle with! Am also starting to notice that I start feeling sick at about 4.30pm and the only way to stop feeling awful is to eat ginger nut biscuits!

Not sure how I am going to cope tomorrow - going on the nursery trip to the farm - 14 under 4's! wish me luck as might not be around tomorrow as likely to go to bed at the same time as dd after a full on day!

Wave to everyone else xx

HumphreysCorner · 04/06/2008 17:04

Evening all

MJIM-how cute is your DS Conjunctivitis is awful so much sympathy to you.

ChocEclair-hope the sickyness is better today. {{hugs}}

Mandy-yes, after your +ive OPK you have a good 48 hours to go at so get going! 2ww does indeed mean 2 week wait whichb is the longest 2 weeks ever!

One of the mum's at school has confided in me that she is 9 1/2 weeks PG with a surprise baby-she has 3 boys. a) I am chuffed to bits for her b) am delighted she could tell me her secret c) am a tad even though we have only been TTC 1 month. Have told her we are TTC-it was good to be able to tell someone in RL.

Busy, busy willmouse and attempting to diet. I am totally off my diet and drinking far too much wine.

CD7 here so not long until the vital 48 hours.

soosy, Bellie, Knax, Heartmum, ceebee, Angel, juanitad, majormoo et all. Hope all OK.

Aaaaw.

Just to ask you oracles:
It's the 48 hrs after getting the OPK smiley face (surge) that's really bcrucial for DBing, right?
Just couldn't manage yesterday, both of us working late and then just crashed.

Does the 2WW mean 'two week wait' (sorry, couldn't find it in the abbreviations section)?
