soosy-we would like a boy and one of my PN thread ladies said it is a banana and bacon diet to get a boy but I don't know if it is the man or the woman who has to indulge. Bananas don't like me and bacon is too calorific for my eating plan.

CE-blimey, that was a long day. Bet you are shattered. Our school was open as normal today.

So sorry about your bad day Bellie. Hugs

Good news H2MJ

No news buyer mucking us about with the house, but we did have another viewing today which apparently is promising, so hopefully something will work out.

Hello Chubby mummy LOL about cushion. I used to just lie with my legs in the air - didn't work though.

HC are you going to starve yourself for a girl? (I hope I hae remembered right and its not a boy you are after!) saw these articles in the papers!

Watching greys anatomy tonight medical drama addiction! Yes and House, Hugh Laurie is one of my weird crushes!

Bellie, I am so sorry the witch got you and of your memories of this day. Hugs

Welcome Chubbymummy! Good luck with the ov sticks and the pillow, it worked with my ds2!

Ceebee, sorry you are feeling so rubbish, I hope the ms & cold pass soon.

I had my 12 week scan today, which I attended with a certain amoutn of trepidation due to some more spotting last night. Baby looked great, was a little wriggler, but not bouncing around, I think he/she would have quite liked to go to sleep! Baby is measuring 5 days ahead, making me 13+1 with an EDD of 29th October. As for the spotting, there is a small area of blood just behind the baby, which may also come out in spotting/bleeding, or may be reabsorbed. I really hope that once this spotting fully clears that is the end of it, it is nerve wracking which can't be good for me or the baby. They did say if I was at all concerned, I could go back and they would have another look. The measured the nuchal folod, but didn't tell me what it was as said I was just out of the ideal age range for it anyway. Either way, I am totally in love

Piccies are in my profile!

Angel2008 · 24/04/2008 14:34

Oh I think you can ask the woman to just send you pregnancy tests.

Angel2008 · 24/04/2008 14:33

Hi all

Ceebee thanks so much for posting the sticks - you're a gem!

Chubbymummy - welcome and good luck with the BD! I'm going to get my pregnancy tests off eBay this month too - I'll post the link when I find it!

Bellie - so sorry about AF and the bad memories of today. I don't really know what happened but I do hope you are okay

I sorted things out with DP last night/this morning. I did get a lecture from him (and my best mate) on my temper though. Now feeling very

chubbymummy · 24/04/2008 13:40

Wow thanks HC those are much, much cheaper. Do you have a link for pregnancy tests too, I spent a fortune on those last month as well!!!!!!!! (Although if I had a bit of patience and waited until AF was actually due instead of testing practically as soon as my bum was off the cussion I would have saved myself a packet).
Thinking of you Bellie {{{{}}}}}

ceebee74 · 24/04/2008 12:18

Bellie - so sorry AF arrived and what bad timing for today. Put your feet up, treat yourself to some chocolate and hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear about your baby Bellie . I can't imagine how sad you feel.

Bellie · 24/04/2008 11:48

the witch got me.
also really bad day today as my baby that I lost would have been 1 today so feeling really down.

Will try and cheer up and come back laterxx

MrsPuddleduck · 24/04/2008 11:38

Ceebee - you are right the apprentice wasn't up to scratch last night. I must admit I can't believe that Lucinda's team didn't win! I think they are the most dislikable bunch - there isn't a single one who I would like to win.

ceebee74 · 24/04/2008 11:27

Welcome Chubbymummy - I see HC has kindly provided the link for the OV sticks - they are much much cheaper than in the shops so well worth buying. Lol at bum on cushion - again, been there and done that

Angel - have posted the sticks to you today first class (sorry for the delay but was actually waiting to see if you still needed them )

Hi to everyone else - this is just a quickie as meant to be working.

Have got a cold now on top of the ms so happy days in the Ceebee household at the mo.

Was it just me who thought the Apprentice was pretty rubbish last night - they all seem quite competent now so there are no glaring muppets or obvious candidates for firing - although that Irish Jennifer is SCARY! I loved it at the end when she was back at the house and saying that Siralan had said she was cold - you could almost see the tumbleweed rolling round the house in the deathly silence that followed

HumphreysCorner · 24/04/2008 11:07

Hi and welcome chubbymummy-lol at the bum on the cushion bit. Done that and got the t-shirt. Lots of luck but deffo don't spend all that on OV sticks. Try here You can mix and match and you don't have to buy 50 as she has a listing for 25 as well.

Hi Chubbymummy - you are most welcome here!

Ceebee (I think) will be able tell you where to get cheap ovulation predictor sticks from ebay - they worked for her!

Hope the cushion worked! (I have been known to do this myself!)

chubbymummy · 24/04/2008 10:14

Hi girls can I join this thread pleeeeaaase?

I'm on cycle 3 of ttc my second child and according to the £22 worth of clearblue ovulation sticks I've used this month I'm ovulating about now. Bd'd this morning before dh went out to work and spent the next hour with my bum up on a cussion planning to do the same again tonight (ooohhh, the romance of it all!!!). Wish me luck!

MrsPuddleduck · 24/04/2008 10:05

Morning all.

I have just worked out that I am on CD20 and by my calculations haven't ov'd yet. Looks like another mamoth cycle for me then! I think I will look into getting some Angus Cactus (or whatever).

I know what everyone means about the Farkin Frees - DS1 skipped the terrible twos and was really difficult for about 18 months from three onwards (we are just coming out the other end now).

I have lost 1lb so far this week (not so good - although I have eaten half a box of Guilian chocolates and we ended up at the chippy on Tuesday night so I can't complain really).

Aparently there is a heatwave forecast for the weekend

soosy · 23/04/2008 20:02

Bellie where did you see farking threes! Have discovered that a little girl at nursery has been playing fast and loose with my son's emotions! She wants to play with him then she doesn't God I didn't think that this started at three! Anyway DS doesn't understand and this is his reason for not wanting to go to school. I thought it was to do with his comfort blanket, but it wasn't. God I feel really bad.

TBH our buyer is sort of being quite difficult about exchanging contracts and so I think it is probably a good thing that I didn't go ahead with the FET. I am having a black Wednesday.

Littlemissdaisy I am sorry to hear your news and that your clinic is a very unsympathetic. You could try and get your GP to refer you to a mc clinic the best one is in London at St Mary's Paddington. They may not refer you as they say that they are only early miscarriages - yes I know their attitude is quite cavalier. You could also ask your clinic/GP to do some blood tests for Hughes syndrome. Its tough especially when you are having fertility treatment. But as my consultant said, you have been pg so you will have a baby.

HumphreysCorner · 23/04/2008 20:01

OMG-7 days to go until official TTC begins. Saw a friend in town today who asked if I was having another and my mum replied no she's not! Crikey, how will I ever tell her?

juanitad-I look at the maternity clothes every time I walk through Mothercare. I put mine away but thinking about it, they will be too big so will have to buy new ones. Hope you find what you need.

Hi all,

Thanks for the advice re: maternity clothes. I had heard that H&M do good mat clothes, so I went in and scoured the shop but couldn't find any!! I was expecting there to be a separate maternity section, but there didn't seem to be one. Oh well, at least I found stuff in Gap and Topshop, and Mothercare will be my next port of call probably.

CE, what does tripasic (sp?) mean? Can't believe AF still not here. Well done for holding off on testing, you are being very restrained, and it will be an unbelievable feeling if you get a +ve on Saturday!!!! Fingers, eyes, toes, everything crossed!!

Soosy, sorry to hear things haven't worked out this time, but as you say, maybe you will be in a better place next cycle, with the worries of the house behind you hopefully.

Angel, time to get on with the next cycle....get planning and get BDing!! Lots and lots of luck!!

Bellie and BB, fingers crossed for both of you too.

HC - how many days now? Can you count them on your fingers yet?

Welcome to the thread elveld

Bellie · 23/04/2008 17:41

Wow CE - I don't even understand ff but triphasic sounds very impressive so it must be a good thing!!

Angel - lol - I can't believe anyone can be that happy with AF showing up.

Soosy - sorry things didn't work out for you this month everything crossed for next month xx DD is have the 'farking frees' (as I saw quoted on another thread!! - maybe that is what ds is having too? Everything that you describe - right down to flinging herself on the floor when her cars are in the wrong order - it is just another phase it seems!!

littlemissdaisy - not particularly helpful, but at least you have a foliicle scan to see if they can see anything. I do know what you mean about not feeling very helpful, but look positive that you are taking a small step in the process. {{hugs to you}}.

CD29 here - still feeling periody but still dark brown/slight reddish discharge. Not getting my hopes up at all though as really feel like AF will show any minute.

Sorry not replied to everyone - hope you are all OK - anyone else getting close??

HumphreysCorner · 23/04/2008 17:19

triphasic even.

Aw, soosy-sorry this time wasn't possible for you. Oh, those terrible 2's.

littlemissdaisy-think I am as confused as you over what they said and don't they speak the bleeding obvious sometimes? Excuse the lingo.

Angel-at least you can put those tests away and start all over again. Sorry about AF though.

CE-do you think this could be the month? [excited for you]

Eleveld-my AF started then stopped last month then turned up for real. When I plotted it on Fertility Friend it suggested implantation bleed so hope yours is.

Will have to go as DD1 refusing her quiche and she eats it at MIL so she can eat it here!

Hi to everyone else.
