A pinch and a punch for the first of the month!

Ceebee - ! Dh a Liverpool fan so our evening was rather... fraught!!!

Well cd27 and still no af BUT had a bfn first thing this morning . Off home at end of May so will make an appt with gynae for further advice. Will also order some pre-seed which has had very good write ups on another thread.

Soosy - buying our house was the most stressful thing ever. I was 8 mths pg when we finally moved in but we accepted an offer on our flat when I was 12wks!!! Can't imagine trying to combine that with emotionally hyped treatment too. {{{}}} Hope your time away gives you a bit of rellief from the tension.

I know CE went away after her last dissapoinment but she seems to have been gone for a while. Hope she is OK. Anyone have any news?

Hope you all have a good day!

bb xx

majormoo · 30/04/2008 22:36

well you must be very excited Ceebee. My DH has been watching the game with his dad and brother. They are going to be going wild!!

You didn't miss much with the Apprentice-it was obvious George Doors was the most rubbish

Off to bed. Fingers crossed for your test tomorrow am BB.

Soosy sorry to hear you are feeling down. Hope the break away at the hotel helps a bit. It never rains when it pours does it?

Bellie · 30/04/2008 22:11

ceebee

Bellie · 30/04/2008 21:43

Soosy - and with your buyer!
House buying/selling is such a stressful process. Hopefully you will get it all sorted soon.
Hope ds gets better soon too.
Good idea going to a hotel for a break - hope you enjoy it.

Is your FET booked in for next month?

soosy · 30/04/2008 21:26

Sounds like good news BB, try again in a couple of days!

Our buyer for our househas been difficult to say the least. The agent rang him to say we are pulling out of the sale as he seems unable to decide whether he actually wants to exchange and buy our house. Every time the agent called him he would say yes he woud exchange and then nothing would happen, he wouldn't even call to tell us what was going on. We have someone who is coming for a second viewing hopefully tomorrow, she seemed really keen, but we will see. It's all crap timing as we had finally found something we wanted to buy. Thank God I cancelled my FET, which was a difficult decision, as I don't think I could have handled all the stress of that and the house. DS has been ill too - what a week. We are going to a hotel for a night on monday, just need a break.

Sorry such a selfish post, just feeling v .

Bellie · 30/04/2008 20:49

wow BB - a line is a line great news!

Don't apologise, it is allowed to be self indulgent when a line is involved!

Tested this evening and the line came up within 5mins. Very very very faint. Have binned it cos I couldn't stop staring at it and analying like a nutter. Last 2 mths af showed cd27, 4 previous mths cd26 so not tecnically late (sorry mjim!).

First time ever I have succumbed. With dd I waited till I was 4 days late. I tested cos I have been feeling soooo pants the last few days. Really tired and weak kneed sort of queasy over hungry iyswim. I spoke to my sis and said I hope I am pg or I think I'm really ill (yes - I am a hypochondriac).

Will try again with fresh morning wee.

Sorry for self obsessed post. Glad you are all doing ok.

{{{{HM2J}}}} Hope all sorted out quickly.

Any news of CE?

juanitad · 30/04/2008 20:29

Great news bb, when will you test again to see if the line gets darker? Or maybe you could use a CB digital one, to see that lovely word - Pregnant!

majormoo · 30/04/2008 20:27

BB that is fantastic. A line is a line afterall.

BB - how exciting!! I am sure that I read that a line (however faint) is a positive I guess you didn't take MJIM's advice to not test until you are a week late

Am sat here watching the footy - being a huge Chelsea fan, not sure my nerves can take it tonight!!!

Heartmum2Jamie · 30/04/2008 19:51

OMG BB!!!! Are you being serious?! You better be, I am not sure my hormonal mind can take a joke right now, lol! I hope that the line gets darker over the next few days. Ohhhh, I'm so excited!

Willmouse, thanks for the warning re Miss Dixon. I will ask to be swapped my Mr Dapah. He dealt with my care when I had a miscarriage, so at least I know him already!

belgianbuniswondering · 30/04/2008 19:35

CD26 - how faint can a bfp be and still count?

Very very very faint but even dh can see it.....!!!!!

MrsPuddleduck · 30/04/2008 14:02

H2MJ - hate to be the bearer of bad news but the reason I asked is that Miss Dixon has a really bad reputation (having said that she is due to do my Gran's hysterectomy in a few weeks because my Mum couldn't talk her into changing lists). Although you didn't get to see her so it sounds as if her registrar isn't very sympathetic.

I would ask to switch to Mr Dapaah's list - he is absolutely fantastic and is like a demi-god at Stafford Hospital. Becasue DS1 was 8lb 5 (which I didn't think was that big) and I had an emergency c-section he had me scanned at least 4 times with DS2 to check I wasn't having another 'large' one even though he said I needed a planned c-section.

Don't wish to scare-monger - just a suggestion.

Majormoo - glad it's not just me down the pjama pant isle at Asda (it feels like it - I daren't admit to anyone in real life!).

majormoo · 30/04/2008 13:04

HM2J how distressing that the OB was not more understanding/helpful. Fingers crossed your DS2s consultant can sort it out for you. Hope the spotting stops soon-at least you know it is nothing to worry about really.

MJIM very impressed with your DS being dry at night. DD still wears night time pyjama pants and will be 5 in August! We have had a few gos without , but she always has accidents when she is asleep so will leave it a while longer.

Juanitad it is just wonderful isn't it that if you want a scan you have to fork out your hard earned cash to make sure you get one? grrr.
The man I spoke to at the hospital regarding mine said it is extremely rare that they get a cancellation. DH had suggested just waiting til 19th and if I can't get into Kings, then paying privately for the nuchal. But I really want to go back there, because despite our having terrible news there, I trust them and they were fantastic with my pregnancy with DS, so we may just have to find the £100.

Heartmum2Jamie · 30/04/2008 13:04

Willmouse, how did you know?! LOL! she has a clinic at Cannock Hospital on a Tuesday. Not that I sawe Miss Dixon ofcourse, some flippin' registrar (story of my life, lol!). Thankfully they said they would see me again at 28 weeks. I just kept thinking "oh no you won't!"

As for the spotting, when I had my scan last week, I asked them to check for the cause and they found a small bleed behind the baby, so it is obviously slowly coming away.

I should be ashamed really as I have already been on a second hand cloth spending spree, lol! I wanted to get lots of differnt kinds to try so I can see what i like and what suits baby, sell on what doesn't work and buy more that does. I am now the proud owner of bimbles & diddy diapers (which make up the main stash), some terries, a totbot fluffle, a fuzzibun, a minki waffle (has the softest suedecoth I have ever felt), a bumgenious and just waiting on 2 motherease sandies I think I have about 16 nappies, so more than enough for a day. Have even tried them out on a bear, they are soooo cute! I do have some disposibles in for dh, nighttimes (until I get brave) and maybe until the meconium is gone.

MrsPuddleduck · 30/04/2008 12:46

H2MJ - I am not being nosey and only asking because I know you live fairly near Cannock - you didn't happen to see Miss Dixon did you?

Hope the spotting stops soon. I had spotting with both of my pregnancies and with DS2 they could see where it had come from (I think you said this is what had happened to you - can't remember for sure).

BTW I am loving the cloth debate as I am considering (only considering) using next time. Actually I think I am far too lazy!

Hi everyone, sorry for not contributing much, am still having spotting and had a terrible OB appt yesterday, so feeling quite down. Bloody OB says "in her opinion" I don't need a fetal echo. Ummmm, hello?! I already have a DC with a heart condition! Anyway, I came home all riles and upset, so called ds2's consultant instead, lol! His secretary said she would speak with him and try and get me onto his list at the fetal medical centre. Hopefully she will call today.

Onto more cheery news, I am 14 weeks today, yay! Finally properly into my second trimester.

Well done on your ds mjim. I wish my 2 would learn, but as bedwetting is herditary, my 2 will be in nappies/pull ups/pj pants for many years to come. I am not worried (apart from the expence, lol!) Thankfully have decided to use cloth with this one.

Thanks for the shopping tip ceebee, just looking now, lol!

Juanitad, not long for that scan now!

Majormoo, I'm glad you like your midwife but sorry to hear about the scan woes. I hope you can sort something out.

I hope everyone else is well, sorry to not do personal shout outs, but the washing waits for no-one!

Bellie · 30/04/2008 10:21

wow mjim - that it fab about ds! Brilliant that he got up himself and went!

Juanitad - that you havn't heard from the NHS scan. I think it is awful that so many people are having to go private for this. But hoping that everything is ok

Was planning to do some painting today but yet again it is raining. Oh well cup of tea and Fern and Phil it is then
