Morning all.

I will update the list:-
Myjobismum ? 15w4days (due 5 Oct 2008)
Heartmum2Jamie - 14w+1d (Due 29th Oct 2008)
Juanitad - 9 1/2 weeks pg (Due 19th Novish)
Ceebee74 ? 8 weeks pg (due 26 Nov 2008)
Majormoo- about 7 weeks pregnant (fingers crossed) due c.7th December
chocolateeclair (carolyn) - cycle 4 ttc#1 CD7
HumphreysCorner - TTC No3 starting 1st May (DD1 4 yrs 10 mths & DD2 22 mths) CD 28
Bellie - cycle 17 ttc no2 (dd 3.6months)cd 8
Willmouse - cycle 7 ttc # 3 (ds1 4 years 9 months ds2 2 years and half a month) CD28
Soosy - ttc no2 5th IVF cycle, Pt 2 (FET)! , DS 3yrs 3months CD8
Angel - cycle 3 ttc#
luvingtinkerbell-cycle2 ttc#2 (dd2 2.5 years) cd30
littlemissdaisy - cycle 3 ttc#1 cd1
belgianbun - cycle 6 ttc # 2 (dd1 2yrs 6mths) cd 1

Soosy (depending on the £ difference between the offers) I would agree with Bellies advice and stick with the safest.

MJIM - hope the pay situation got sorted out. DH was told that he had to make increases to his pension from this month (he has no choice) so the pay rise were were expecting was a lot less than it should have been . Hope you sort it out. I thought that the changes in tax were counterbalanced by increases in child tax credit or whatever if you had children (but don't quote me on that I keep my head burried firmly in the sand wherever money is concerned!).

Bellie - good news on the mortgage front - sounds similar to ours. As we re-mortgaged in Feb ours has already come down ( v exciting in these times!).

CE - nice to have you back and glad you are feeling better about things. I think it is hard ttc #1 as you have spent so much time dedicated to using contraception that you think you are going to get pg the second you stop. The reality is somewhat different - it took me 12 months to conceive DS1 (which is why I am fairly relaxed). That said I am starting to worry now as I am on cycle 8 and as I suffer from heavy AF and know I have suffered endometriosis in the past I can't help but worry that I am going to have difficulty again. At least I still have time on my side atm.

Although I am on CD28 I think I have another week until AF is due so still waiting here. I hope I am lucky this month.

Bellie · 02/05/2008 07:38

Soosy - what a nightmare! What is the position of the bidders? e.g. are they first time buyers, have they sold etc. Regardless of the offer I would go with the one that has the 'safest' chain or is in the best position to move as quickly as possible for you. The highest bidder may not be able to move quickly or even sold their house and that is why they are tempting you with a high offer! It really is a minefield isn't it!

HM2J and MJIM I hope it is not to do with the tax changes too it really is a nightmare at the moment isn't it.

MJIM - hope your household is feeling better soon.

HC - hope your migrane has gone - nearly time for you to ttc!! Can't have migranes hanging around

majormoo - I know what you mean about the letters from loan companies! makes me angry too

Looks like better weather here today - hope it lasts for the bank holiday!

soosy · 01/05/2008 22:56

MJIM Sorry to hear about the lady on your OCt thread, I am watching Grey's Anatomy, well I won't go into the plot, except it is v sad, and my greatest fear as it happened to my neighbour.

Sorry BB about AF, I was really hoping.... Good Luck for May, maybe it will be our month.

Hello to everyone. Bellie good news on the mortgage!

HM2J you will be fine.

CE fab to hear from you and hoping next month.

Haven't updated because I have no idea what day I am on and not really thinking about it at the moment, but it has to be around CD23.

Update on the House, as things went a bit mad today...

We have had three offers, one which is higher than the others, agent has asked us to make a decision about what our next move is, he thinks he can push the offer higher, but it is a one hit wonder and it may backfire and we may have to go for a lesser offer if we lose. I have to decide how to go by tomorrow morning, i feel like i am juggling glass balls, so any advice would be welcome. The higher offer came after one viewing and was upped two or three hour later, it is obvious our agent wouldn't suggest this unless he had a good idea it would work..... Oh if any one is around late or early help me please, DH has left this in my hands oh how I hate that.....

CE, good to see you back!

MJIM, lots of rest and fluids. Sorry to hear about the lower wages (we had that suprise this month as well) and only having 1 day off together.

Bellie, the scan sounds pretty good to me. I hope you got a good mortgage deal!

apologies re the nonsense of my first sentence below!

majormoo · 01/05/2008 20:35

MJIM is mum sorry for you are having a rubbish week. What sad news about the lady on your thread. When these things happen to you god do they change your life.

HM2J it is so hard not to worry I know but try not to (ha- as if I could follow my own advice)

BB shame AF arrived but good you aren't feeling too disappointed.

CE nice to see you back and raring to go.

HC hope the migraine clears up so you get down to business for 'Day 1 in the HC house'

Wilmouse sorry I spoilt the Apprentice for you. Will be more careful next week. Ceebee yes he was rubbish although evil Jenny was worse. Hope you are still on a high following the footie.

Bellie well the scan sounds like good news. And also good the mortgage is sorted. We are on a good fixed rate at the moment so dreading when it runs out. Really annoys me that despite the credit crunch, fuel bills, world food costs, higher utility bills, redundancies on a mass scale in the city, still I get endless adverts from banks trying to get me to take out huge loans that I don't need. grrr -rant over.

With my usual decisiveness have done nothing about my scan yet, other than get worked up about it.

HumphreysCorner · 01/05/2008 20:27

Evening all

Blimey, this migraine is refusing to bugger off-day 4 of it tomorrow so hoping it will be much improved.

MJIM-how very sad about the lady on your Oct thread. Her first baby too. Your DS has done very well with being dry and is bound to have some accidents. DD1 was well over 3 before she went through the night but still had the odd accident.

belgianbun-how disappointing for you that AF showed. CD1 so you'll soon be ready for action again.

CE-so glad to see you back. I so understand how you feel. {{hugs}}

Bellie-sounds like you have got a good Mortgage deal. And had a good afternoon too. Oh, and a promising scan.

soosy-what a rotten time you are having Enjoy the hotel-you deserve it! Myjobismum ? 15w4days (due 5 Oct 2008)
Heartmum2Jamie - 11w+4D (Due 3rd Nov-ish)

Good to have the stats updated. AF is due today-FF thinks my luteal phase is long and as I have passed my usual phase it said 'You may test, you may be pregnant' What a larf.

Anyway, my head is thumping so hi to everyone else.

Hooray CE - you're back!! I don't blame you at all for staying away from here for a while, just to get your head together, but it's great to see you back and feeling positive again.

BB, sorry to hear that this wasn't your month, but glad that you are feeling positive too.

May is going to be a big month for this thread, I can just tell!!

Bellie · 01/05/2008 17:50

BB - sorry to hear of AF
CE - great to have you back - I know what you mean - sometimes you need a break from talking about it at all. Glad to hear that you are OK and remaining positive.

Got a mortgage! A Tracker at 0.48 above Bank of England rate - hopefully the rate will go down again and we will not be far off where we are now! It is really scary at the moment. Hope we have done the right thing! Also took advantage of dh being home and dd being at nursery

Hello ladies,

I would like to say thank you for all your kind words and for being concerned about me for the last week. I have read the whole thread (every post!) just now and am happy to be back. It has meant a lot to me, especially what Juanita put. I cannot really explain why I couldn?t come on here. Finding it hard to put into words, but basically we thought for 48 hours that we were pg and ........well you can all understand the rest. Today is CD7, it?s a new month and we are moving on.

BB ? CD1 and means that AF has arrived. Very very very sorry and for you. I am thinking about you lots. Keep your chin up and remember that your time will come. Hopefully this month.

MJIM ? glad you had a lovely holiday and have got some nice ?family memories? to cherish. Very interesting reading about the dry nights with ds. Hopefully he is not too disheartened by last night. Sorry you have yet another cold!

HM2J ? cannot believe how pg you are! Time has flown by. Sounds like your appointment went well and hoping you are not worrying too much now. Sounds like you might get somewhere with your DSs cardio doctor to help put your mind at ease

HC ? have you started ttc then? And are you eating bacon and bananas after all? You must be very excited! LOL about having to BD in a caravan with the DDs in bunkbeds next door and cardboards walls!

Juanitad ? truly exciting buying maternity clothes! And not long to wait til your first scan! Have you told many people at work yet? Thanks again for what you put. It was really sweet

Angel ? hope this month has started well for you. Fingers crossed that at least someone is pg by the end of May! Hope you are feeling a little more sorted re your cycle now

Majormoo ? rubbish news about your scan. Surely the NHS can do better than that! I would keep pestering and constantly ring to check for cancellations. They might get fed up and find you one!

Bellie ? good news about your scan of uterus. That sounds pretty positive doesn?t it? Think going private might help you feel like things are moving faster, if you don?t worry too much about the cost. Good luck with your mortgage. I did mine last month and have gone onto 3 yr fixed rate to help with budgeting when baby is around!

Soosy ? sorry you are having such a hard time with the house move. It must be really stressful. Hope your ds is being cute and lovely again after his tantrums of last week. Fingers crossed for next months lining check!

Ceebee ? all going well for you by the sounds of it! DPs sister and husband go to see Chelsea and are massive fans too. They are PRETTY pleased today! Hope the pg is going as well!

Hope I haven?t missed anyone, and sorry it?s soooooo long , but it is a WEEKS worth of posts!

Sorry to hear about your friend Mjob. Try to keep positive.

Bellie - good luck with the mortgage. We re-mortgaged in February just before they started getting rid of the 'deals' (is still a higher interest rate than we were on though ). Don't just go to your bank - shop around - we always use an independent financial advisor who doesn't charge a fee that way you can be sure you get the best deal out.

Heartmum2Jamie · 01/05/2008 12:58

Oh MJIM, that is terrible news about the lady on the October thread, I can't even begin to imagine. It does however renew my complete paranoia. I doubt I will relax until baby arrives and then a whole new set of worries will kick in Also, sorry to hear you aren't well again and that ds is coming down with it too. These things seem to be lingering an awfully long time this year. I really am ready for spring to arrive properly.

Bellie · 01/05/2008 12:39

mjim about the lady on your oct thread. {{hugs}}.
Sorry about your ds too - although it could be to do with not feeling great. See what happens tonight fingers crossed xx

BB {{hugs to you too}} still no AF though? So it isn't over yet then.

Have just been for an internal scan - follow up from last one where they were concerned that my uterus lining was too thick. Scanner today says that it is not unusually thick - so I am guessing that this is good Still have to wait till July to see the consultant again. Am getting very impatient and need to think about a private appointment before that if poss as I am starting to get really down about the lack of progress.

Off to the bank this afternoon to see if we can sort out a new mortgage [eek] - our current (really low rate) fix ends at the end of July.

  • what a night!! I am happy happy happy this morning! Obviously won't be going to Moscow but can't wait until 21 May now.

BB - it is still early so I wouldn't necessarily take the BFN at face value just yet - as HM2J says, it ain't over till AF shows up.

Majormoo - I flicked over to see who got fired and laughed when I saw it was George Doors Was he really useless? I have recorded it but it will probably be the weekend before I get to watch it.

I really hope CE is ok - I guess she just needs some time away from here but (CE if you are reading this) I hope you come back. It is still very early days for you so don't be too disheartened.

Right, have just moved offices and need to unpack all my stuff

x

Morning all

Have the worst migraine ever

belgian-when are you actually due on? Maybe test again on the day you are due. {{hugs}}

Heartmum2Jamie · 01/05/2008 09:44

I'm sorry BB. It still isn't over till AF arrives. I have also heard good things about pre-seed.

Soosy, I am sorry you are having such a hard time right now. I agree that house buying/selling is one of the most stressful things you can do.

I suppose I should be getting the boys ready to go out, we have dentist appts at 11.

MrsPuddleduck · 01/05/2008 09:42

Sorry to hear about your BFN Belgian -you never know though it is still early days and AF still hasn't arrived presumably.

Mjob - did you have another dry night?

Soosy - you don't have to tell me how difficult buying/selling is. I am thinking of giving the conveyancing lark up (stressed clients really get on my nerves) but DH doesn't want me to because of my earning potential Well I have landed an evening job for 4 months so he may think differently when we have a bit of regular income!

H2MJ - I am so glad you are going to switch. I was put on her list last time and I just phoned up and said that I had seen Mr Dapaah in the past and was it OK to switch to him and they were fine about it. I can now reveal that at the firm where I worked before I had DS1 we had a client suing Rowley Park Hospital for a botched hysterectomy she had carried out and Rowley Hall got rid of her as a result - before the claim even went to Court so there must have been other instances as well (for all non-locals to Staffs Rowley Hall is the Bupa Hospital in Stafford). Plus she did such a bad job of removing a coil for my Mum she was ill and passed out and was not allowed to leave the hospital for hours.

Ceebee - congratulations of the football - are you off to Moscow LOL! DH watched it so I went upstairs and watched a programme about vulva's for an hour (and I'm not talking about a family estate car!). Recorded apprentice and have just noticed that George Doors was sacked - I forgot I was bound to find out here who got the chop!
