OK, I really will make an effort to post more on this thread - it will not die out!! ALong with MJIM, I think this is my favourite thread (along with my post-natal one as I have been on there for nearly 2 years) aswell as I feel I know you all really well now.

Not really sure about the ante-natal thread yet - it moves so fast, that it is impossible to keep up sometimes and as I was one of the last to join (with bump being due end of the month) I feel a bit like being on the outside looking in iykwim. Juanitad/HM2J - do you feel like this or is it just me?

Juanitad - I am glad you have told your head - that is the worst bit over with and now you can relax and enjoy your pg now Have a good day in London!

Willmouse - great news about the nursery and if it takes your mind off the TTC, then you may find that it helps. Obsessing about TTC doesn't help although I know we all do it!

MJIM - you take it easy! I am sure the pains are just stretching pains but if in doubt, have a lie down

Hi to everyone else

After 2 days of feeling really good, the nausea has returned today...grrrr!

Am also in the process of trying to get DH to persuade his mum that a bbq at our house on Sunday would be a lovely treat for her birthday - she expects us to take her out to a restaurant but I want to watch the football (with it being so crucial for Chelsea) - is that really selfish??

DS seems to be back to his usual happy, sunny self this week - he was an absolute nightmare last week with tantrums, wanting his dummy ALL the time (he has always only had it at sleep times) and just generally being quite miserable - but this week it has been a pleasure to be with him

Anyway, that is the news from the Ceebee household.

Evening all

Bellie- on your behalf. Tescos always has lots of fancy dress outfits. Good luck.

Cut the grass today and got very sunburnt so well miffed off. Didn't put sun lotion on as I thought I would be OK Will struggle to sleep tonight as my back is sore.

MJIM-it can be unbearable being PG in the heat can't it? {{hugs}} You get far more aches and pains in subsequent pregnancies-the MW at the maternity ward explained it when I went in freaking out about the pains. Will be prepared next time.

willmouse-don't you dare leave this thread I need moral support along with the rest of the TTCers. You can multitask I'm sure.

juanitad-such a relief to tell work isn't it? I told them when I was about 4 months and they said it was the worst kept secret ever.

Must go and lather some more baby lotion on-waves to everyone.

Evening all,

Felt guilty about everyone saying it has gone quiet on this thread as I haven't been posting loads recently! So I will update you all with my life today......

Told the head at my school, who was absolutely great. I had been a bit nervous about telling her, but it was all fine, I was worrying about nothing. She said some really nice things and I feel much better that it's out in the open. I'm going to London for the day on Saturday to meet up with some friends, so I can tell them then, and after that all the important people know, and I'll let them filter the info through to the less important people. It has been so great having you guys on this thread though that I have been able to tell every little detail to!! Let's make sure this thread does not die out! We are all staying put until every last one of us is pregnant! Hopefully that will be very soon. I'm sure it's going to happen to someone on this thread this month, but who.....? Can't wait to find out!

Bellie · 09/05/2008 20:05

Will be off to asda in the morning - you are right they are bound to have something - it is the assupmtion that we have all this stuff at home and the lack of notice that makes me so .

mjim - I am sure that it is just stretching - but take it easy if you can

majormoo · 09/05/2008 19:44

soosy hope your af arrives today.
Willmouse it's great that your business looks like it might work. But as the others said, don't give up hope.

Bellie-I reckon a trip to Woolies or Asda is in order-they must do pirate stuff.

Will keep my nose out of neighbours business as generally suggested!

Think it is the sunshine that is keeping everyone off their PCs (well with me it depends on how much DH needs the computer really)

mjim - I hope the thread isn't dying - it is my lifeline. I think maybe it is just the weather encouraging us outside. It won't last

Hi all, another busy day here in the sunshine! DD has a treasure hunt to go to tomorrow and they tell us today that they need to be dressed as pirates {angry].

Junaitad - glad to hear that the scan went well and that it is all feeling more real!!

willmouse - I completely understand where you are coming from - maybe not thinking about ttc will help in some way? There is the train of thought that it will happen as soon as you start planning/having something else to focus on. You can't give up anyway - you are the one enouraging me as I think I may have endiometrios too remember

Soosy - hope you find soemwhere soon to live, and that af does arrive today (in the nicest possible way) so that you can go to wales but still have fet too!

majormoo - can you engineer someway of going round there (ball over fence?) and then just ask how she is - if she wants to talk she may well do so - otherwise I would stay out of it - I am always putting my foot in it.

waves to all others - am very of those with popping/wiggles - I love that part!!

soosy · 09/05/2008 10:29

Hey willmouse, i understand where you are coming from but don't give up hope! You are still way more likely to conceive, perhaps you don't ovulate every month so it just will take you a little longer!

I am waiting for af to arrive I would like it to arrive today, so there is a chance we could go to Wales with my brother for half term, otherwise I will have to be here for scans and FET, I have come to the conclusion that nothing in life goes smoothly. Mind you I might have to stay here to find somewhere to live!

House hunting this weekend and picnic with DS and his friends this pm. Have a lovely time this weekend everyone!

Morning all.

The nursery idea has hit the ground running so to speak so I have been really busy. So busy in fact that I am considering becoming and honorary member of this thread . If I am to take it seriously I can't do both .

Plus my latest theory is this. With DS1 we were in the midst of tests as I quite clearly wasn't conceiving - I had a laperoscopy and fell pregnant. Consultant said it was probably because the 'pushing and pulling' made me release and egg (at the time there was some evidence that I wasn't releasing any). DS2 was conceived by chance really and a complete flook therefore I am now unable to conceive again and the problem never went away. On that basis I am never going to use contraception again but am going to stop actively trying and just let nature take it's course. Does that make sense?

MJIM - glad you can feel your little one. Its so reassuring isn't it?

HC - good luck

Majormoo - personally I wouldn't say anything as more than likely if something has gone wrong it is a sore subject. Plus I ALWAYS manage to put my foot in it somehow!

Hi to everyone else!

glad your scan went well Juanitad

HC, Bellie, carolyn, Angel-have fun!

Ceebee-oh yes the Apprentice was great!

HM2J-age 20-I am very jealous.

MJIM-well done your DS on the dry nights, despite the make up!

Hello everyone else.

Can I ask any of you with cats if they would ever play with teddy bears? I ask because I have a dilemma and not sure what to do. Our next door neighbours of 2 years or so are a quiet couple who we rarely see and do not know. We just say hello to them really. A couple of months ago DH saw the man with a double buggy and he told DH they were having twins in June. Now today when I was hanging the washing out, I saw in their garden that they had put two teddy bears on a bench in the sunshine. Later when I saw the woman she quite clearly is not having twins in June, because she looked at most 3 or 4 months pregnant, but I was not near enough to talk to her. So now I am not sure if something terrible has happened or if DH just got it all wrong and they are expecting a baby in October or something, or they are adopting (DH is not the most reliable person on the planet for relaying this sort of info). And the teddy bears were for the cats. What to do? I could knock on their door and look like a real busy body, but if something bad has happened do not want to ignore it. Sorry to go but it has been bothering me all afternoon

HumphreysCorner · 08/05/2008 20:22

Evening ladies

Yes, it is too nice to Mumsnet and Facebook.

junaitad-so pleased your scan went well. It is such a milestone to reach.

Bellie-looking good on the OV front.

Angel-I have never had a strong line on my OV sticks so last month took the only faint line I had to be +ive and this coincided with FF OV day.

willmouse-sounds a good move with the playschool idea. Go for it!

ChocEclair-it will be you very soon. Lots of good luck vibes coming your way.

ceebee-rest as much as you can. I can't see the screen on my laptop outside due to the bright sun.

MJIM-love, love, love feeling those little kicks.

Well, on Tues we did the deed but with a condom. DH asked the next day if I was going to jump on him (this was before he put the condom on) and I said no as I want to stick to the plan of temping and OV sticks. Then I asked him if he said that because he didn't want another yet. Anyway, we both agree that we do want to try starting this month. Am on CD7 so looking at BDing in 5 days. Will be in the caravan when AF is due so unless I can find any wireless internet connection you will have to wait until I get back. Considering it took 3 months the last 2 times I am not holding my breath.

Waves to everyone else-must check Facebook.

Wow, thsi thread has been on the same page for nearly a week now, you can tell the weather is good!

It is gorgeous here too, far too good to be on the puter, plus I don't really have much to update. Oh, well, the wii fit finally came today, we have all had a quick go (apart from ds2) and thankfully we are all i the ideal BMI range, so I am doing something right with my coooking. Dh was pretty pleased to have a wii fit age of +10 years, ds1 is +9 years and I am blardy pleased as punch to have a wii fit age of 20 . Not bad for a 15 weeks pregnant lady who is turning 30 next month, pmsl! I can see it being alot of fun after baby arrives.

MJIM, I am super of you feeling baby move lots. I think I am feeling the odd popcorn pop (that's what it feels like) and some strange squirming really low down. Hopefully it won't be much longer for the kicks, especially being my 3rd. I am currently on day 9 of no spotting. I hope I have seen the last of that.

I hope everyone else is well and enjoying doing the baby shuffle. I can't wait to see who will be next.

Hi all,

I don't know what everyone else thinks, but this week seems to be dragging, despite the fact that it's been a short working week! I can't wait till the weekend.

I went for my scan yesterday and was v pleased to discover all is well!! Got some really good pictures, saw the heartbeat, it was wonderful. Makes it feel so much more real, just like you said it would mjim. Have told some close friends now, and a few people at work, although not the bosses yet! It'll just be an inconvenience for them no doubt! Well tough, they will just have to deal with it!

Wishing everyone else tons of luck this month.**

ChocolateEclair · 08/05/2008 17:28

Hi all!

Glad everyone is ok!

Weather is fabulous here too (yes even up north is hot sometimes!) and also the right time of he month for us so that's why I haven't been on mumsnet!

Angel - I have the same problem with the ov sticks. It's been the same for 3 months now. I always get nothing, not even a line most of the month so I take the feint lines as my positives! IFSWIM! They do seem to coincide with my temp shift!

Glad you are all enjoying the weather.... make the most of it!

I'm feeling realy broody this month and am really really really wanting to be a mum. Trying not to get too obsessed or desperate about it though! Our neighbours accross the street have a month old baby girl and she was out yesterday getting in the car so I ran over and had got a bit gooey over her! Held her little hand and what not! It was mint! A bit though

Bellie · 08/05/2008 16:47

Hi all - gosh you can tell the weather is good - or is it the right time of the month for all of us

ceebee - how lucky to be able to work at home and snooze!! Just what you need

Angel - can't help with the ov sticks I'm afraid - I spent loads and went for the ones with smiley faces, and am now onto the Clearblue fertility monitor.!

Dh made it home last night and I got ov sign on my fertility monitor in the morning!! So he walked in the door and got dragged upstairs!! and I have got very excited as also yesterday I had some EWCM - I think for the first time ever . Fingers crossed that this means it is our month!!

glad to hear that everyone is having love time in the sun - mjim - hope you got some baby things sorted!

MrsPuddleduck · 08/05/2008 14:44

Hi all.

Weather is lovely here too. Too nice to mumsnet

MJIM - have a lovely time sorthing through your baby things. I really enjoyed doing that second time around.

This thread is really quiet - I was beginning to think you had all snuck off to a new thread and not told me

Angel - good to have you back I can't help with the ov sticks as I never got round to using them. HC is the expert so hopefully she will be along shortly.

MJIM - what a lovely morning you have had I can't believe that this time next week, I will have seen my little bump and you will be getting all excited (and nervous!) about yours.

The Apprentice was a cracker last night wasn't it? I won't say anything in case some of you haven't watched it yet

Having a lovely day working from home today (and tomorrow) - it is so much more relaxing than being in the office I just wish that I had a laptop so I could at least sit in the garden! But, on the positive side, my boss did say that if I needed to have a little snooze in the afternoon, that it was ok - so guess where I am going shortly!!

Right, must crack on so my boss doesn't think I am completely skiving! Have got over 250 application forms to shortlist
