Ok ladies, I am feeling brave enough to share names with you lot! Shhhhhh, don't mention to my antenatal board I showed you my current names list, I don't feel comfortable enough to share with them.

Incedentally, I haven't really discussed these with dh yet, apart from Zachary (he wants Zach). The boys are Connor David and Jamie Alexander and we have a double barreled surname, 3 syllables altogehter.

Here's my list

Hi

I am laughing at all the Bd'ing in unusual places! I am obviously very boring!

To the drinkers whilst pregnant - once I passed 12 weeks I used to have two units a week (a spritzer on a Friday and Saturday night). In fact it may have been a bit more than that towards the end never did any of mine any harm! I did used to drink alcohol free wine but as I remember it is vile!

I missed the first episode of Lost so am presumably I didn't miss much. DH tried to buy it off Skyanytime only I refused to pay the £1.99 fee as we already subscribe to Sky I think it is taking the p* and would rather miss an episode

Sorry about the football Ceebee

DH is off to Wembly next weekend so I have the kids to myself (joy oh joy). Hopefully the weather will still be nice so we can go somewhere (if I'm feeling brave!).

Heartmum2Jamie · 11/05/2008 20:35

I'm not going to flame you Ceebee, I cracked open a bottle of low alcohol stella earlier, lol! Sorry about the footie results.. Dh was not a happy bunny either as ther Villa now don't qualify for next years Uefa cup. Bot a big footie fan myself, but really enjoyed todays Grand Prix

CE: LOL at the BD in unusual places, lol! I remember those days, seems like a loooong time ago now. It's a good thing we didn't name Jamie after where he was concieved, considering it was in a bathroom of a hotel in Menorca. I knew I was O'ing so we set ds1 up in his travel cot with some dodgy spanish tv and got busy . Best souvenir I could have asked for!

juanitad · 11/05/2008 20:31

Leaf, that has a nice ring to it CE! You probably were quite near me - I am in North Leeds, on the Harrogate side, about half an hour from Harrogate. By the way CE, I am having to lead training to the whole staff at tomorrow's after school meeting, like you did a few weeks ago. Not looking forward to it at all - give me kids rather than adults any day of the week!

Did well in the maternity shopping today - here is the full list:

1 pair pyjama bottoms
2 pjyama tops
1 pair work trousers
1 pair shorts
1 pair summer combat-type trousers
3 vest tops
4 T-shirts

So overall, am quite pleased. One of the tops is way too big for me at the moment, but it is soooo pretty, I'm sure it won't be long before I fill it! My friend who had her baby on Mother's Day has told me that I can have all her maternity stuff as well, so my wardrobe has gone from being in a desparate situation to looking quite healthy!

Sorry about the football ceebee, but with a bit of luck they will get their revenge in the Champions League. Fingers crossed for you. I'm not particularly a Chelsea fan, but I do dislike Man Utd intensly!!

HumphreysCorner · 11/05/2008 20:27

Ooh, ChocEclair-was it up a tree? +ive OPK sounds great. Expecting a +ive one Tues ish.

ceebee-with both pregnancies I always had a mini bottle of wine once a week (when the sickness passed of course) Trouble is it never tasted quite the same as when not PG.

Sorry that some of you had not so good weather. Has been truly glorious here in Lincolnshire.

Have a good evening all.

X posts with you ceebee!

Nothing wrong with a little glass of vino when pg I'm sure! No flaming on here remember! We are a more mellow bunch than most LOL

Enjoy!

ChocolateEclair · 11/05/2008 18:36

hi girls - sounds like you have all been having a lovely weekend in the sunshine. It must be fab to let the dc play in the garden and get out the paddling pools! (even if they don't appreciate it!) LOL

Hoping the bbq went well! and boo hoo for Chelsea not winning (sorry!)

Pirates outfit sounds gorgeous!

LOL about Juanitads expanding boobs!

The weather was so nice yesterday we decided to go camping for the night! Grabbed all our stuff and packed some bbq stuff and ended up between Knaresborough and Harrogate. It was fantastic! Went for several lovely walks and had very healthy salad and what not! Very sunny today so did more walking!

Anyway, managed to BD in some rather unusual places!!! Won't embarrass myself by saying where but DP says if we have managed to concieve we will have to call dc leaf or fern!!!! (sorry far TMI!!!)

Got +ve OPK when got home today aswell.

I'm really happy today. Can you tell?

Love to all
CE xx

  • b**y Man United - I hate them!!!

Anyway, now that I have got that off my chest, today (apart from the obvious upset) has been lovely! Bbq went well - even though me and DH were rushed off our feet tidying, shopping etc this morning and it cost us a feckin fortune (whilst BIL got away without paying anything ).

Although we obviously live in a different country to you lot as it was beautiful this morning and then clouded over by lunchtime followed by a thunderstorm and heavy rain - fortunately we had finished eating by then and the football had started

Juanitad - what did you buy? I am actually wearing some linen maternity trousers today and they are SO comfy - it is the first maternity clothes I have worn and I don't really need to but the elastic waistband is fab

HM2J - I am the same as you - I can't eat big meals anymore - one burger today and I was stuffed! Little and often has definitely become my motto.

Anyway, must go - pretended to DH that I needed to do my nails in the office away from DS. I hope no-one is going to flame me but I have got a mini-bottle of vino in the fridge which I think I will have tonight to drown my sorrows (I don't do this often whilst pg by the way and it is only a little little bottle).

Hope you all have a good evening

Heartmum2Jamie · 11/05/2008 16:37

Phew! I have had to come in from pegging washing, it is too hot to be sitting outside, that's for sure. If it helps myjob, since the warmer weather, I have ben having headaches and generally feeling a bit crap. I had backache earlier, was just about to worry when it went away. It is so hard to know when to worry and when to chill. I am sure, like you, it is just baby growing bigger and making more room for itself by pushing everything else out of it's way. Just this week I have suddenly realised I can not eat as much as I used to or I am really uncomfortable all night with a horrible overfull feeling.

I agree that thid thread can't die! It is definately a favourite here too, like the others have said, the ante-natal board is good, but it moves soooo fast during the week and I somehow feel that everyone knows everyone else better than I do. That's what I like about this thread, with there only being a fue handfuls of us, we know each other more.

Bellie, I am LOL about the huge salad. I think this week alone we have had salad with almost every main meal. Today we decided it was too hot for traditional sunday dinner, so I fetched a cooked chicken from Tesco, which we had with a HUGE salad of mixed baby leaves and rocket. T'was very nice and very healthy too. Yesterday we had new potatoes with a big salad and hard boiled egg, the day before that it was jacket spud and salad . Pity I need to be gaining weight though.

Right, sorry to not catch up with everyone, you were very chatty over the last few days! I better run as the kids are asking for lollies and I think I may join them!

Bellie · 11/05/2008 15:12

Hi all

had to come in from the garden as it is too hot. I know we shouldn't complain but there is no breeze!

Thought about having a bbq today but couldn't be bothered to get the supplies so we are having a huge salad instead. Trying to think of the weight as not been doing so well recently.

How's it going ceebee - not watching here but will see tonight on football first/match of the day! hopeing not too stressful for you!

Nothing else to report just playing the waiting game now xx

MrsPuddleduck · 11/05/2008 09:16

HI all.

So the forecast for Stafford this weekend was - Saturday sunny and 23 Sunday rain - what actually happened : Saturday bit of sun in the afternoon - mainly cloudy and rain and today there is beautiful sunshine why oh why with all the technololgy can they never get it right? Anyway just about managed a bbq last night and looks like we should be able to have another today. DH went out to get suppllies and got coal etc and when he returned I reminded him that we bought a gas bbq last year I think its because we only managed to have 3 thanks to the rain

We keep having to lock the kitten up while we go out and so as a result when we come in when the boys go to bed he behaves like a deranged maniac [angy]

Besides that everything fine.....

Hope you all enjoyed your day yesterday - most of us were up to something by the sounds of things and hope you all get a sunny day today.

juanitad · 10/05/2008 22:43

Good to see it's been busy on here today, well done for spurring us into action mjim!

I had a lovely day in London, one of my friends has a 6 month old little boy and she brought him with her, so I got lots of practice in! We had a picnic in Regents Park, it was really nice to see my friends and to spend the day in the sunshine (although it clouded over in the afternoon, boo!) They had already pretty much figured out my news, as normally when I go to see them I stay over and we have a boozy night out, but I had pre-warned them that I was only going for the day, so they worked out why without too much trouble! But I am loving this stage of sharing the news!

My plan for tomorrow is to go clothes shopping! I am now down to just 2 summery and 2 wintery work tops I can still fit into, as my boobs have got so big! I don't really have a bump yet, so that's not an issue, but my boobs seems to have taken over my chest and my usual tops just won't accommodate them! So a day's shopping it is (or as long as I can last before I get tired and irritated - probably about half an hour!)

CE, great to hear you are feeling positive this month. What is agnus cactus and what does it do?

Ceebee - I feel exactly the same about the November thread, it moves incredibly quickly and there are so many people on it that I don't feel as though I know people all that well. A lot of people post during the day, I think maybe HM2J does, so she probably keeps up with it a lot better than us. So this will continue to be my favourite thread!

Waves to everybody else. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

HumphreysCorner · 10/05/2008 20:38

Ooh ceebee, am shaking at the knees with the thought of seeing Sayid.

FIL is away for a weeks fishing starting tomorrow so have invited MIL to share our shepherds pie (she won't eat it as she has a beef phobia) and it turns out BIL is off to Brands Hatch to watch the racing so SIL is also sharing our tea.

Got the paddling pool out for the girls earlier and filled it with lovely warm water then DD1 tipped it out with her bucket and refilled it with the cold hosepipe water then moaned it was too cold.

Evening all

HC - I hope you are not in too much pain with your eye - besides, if you need cheering up, Sayid is in this episode of Lost a few times

Bellie - glad the treasure hunt went well - what a lovely day for it!

Soosy - ooh fingers crossed that this is the house for you (and that AF stays away!)

Yes I have got my bbq tomorrow - yippee Obviously it means I am going to be rushed off my feet tomorrow morning shopping and preparing the food, tidying the house up etc when it would have been so much easier to go to a restaurant - but the sacrifice will be so worth it if Chelsea can win the title

Can you believe we had rain today?? For about an hour this morning, it rained on and off and it has been cloudy for the rest of the day! Went into town to get MIL's birthday pressies and picked up a lovely maternity skirt from Red Herring for £3 - what a bargain eh?? It is really light so perfect for summer!

Anyway, off to start the tidying up - have a good evening all

oh HC - hope it is not too bad xx

Majormoo - sounds like my dd last year - this year though has loved it!

Soosy - wow fingers crossed on all fronts - house, af and fet and holiday!!

ceebee - thinking of you tomorrow - have you got the bbq you wanted and hope your ms has gone again!

Off to open the vino xx

soosy · 10/05/2008 19:09

Quick one, am not abandoning thread, its just life seems v busy at the moment and I am rushing around with DS and House hunting, school hunting for him and then there is the other stuff I have to do for DH! The house hunting is taking up a lot of time! Think we may have found one, needs work and is a bit expensive, but I think we are going to make an offer...... all very exciting and scary in a nice way.

AF still hasn't arrived, so now I would like it to be very very late (like a week or more!) so that I can go on hols and have FET when we get back.

Willmouse sorry about af, good news about the nursery!

Love to the rest of you, off to order takeaway and crash out in front to the TV, have been out all day house hunting!

majormoo · 10/05/2008 19:05

HC you really are in the wars.

DH bought the kids a paddling pool today(only a tenner from Asda) which had a spray hole where you attach the hose. We thought it was great but DS wouldn't get in at all and DD moaned that it was too cold! Typical

She also asked me earlier 'mummy how do you know what to do the day you turn into a grown up?!'

Hope the rest of you have had a good day in the sunshine

HumphreysCorner · 10/05/2008 18:56

willmouse-sorry AF has arrived. Go girl with your plans.

Have walked into the open caravan window and really hurt myself. Will most likely have a black eye.

Just about to have tea, late I know but hey, it is so warm and too hot to eat any earlier. Girls are grumpy though with tiredness. I am on the vino so struggling to type.

ceebee-have managed to download the last Lost so can't wait to see it.

Love to all

Hi all - Asda came up trumps in the pirate outfit (looks like a black and pink fairy with a skull and crossbones but dd loved it )

traseure hunt was really good and very relaxed - dd has eaten her bodyweight in chocolate coins though. (thought these were only around a christmas!!)

Majormoo - dd sounds sweet - and just what my dd woul do!

CE - your romantic walk sounds lovely - you've made me want fish and chips for tea now!

HC - sunburn any better today? Keep applying lotion if you don't want to peel.

Hope everyone else having a good weekend!
Willmouse - sorry about AF - but you are pinpointing ov so that is positive. Maybe if you focus on the nursery your mind will be taken off ttc and it will just happen!!

Am now officially on the 2ww cd17 and counting!!

majormoo · 10/05/2008 12:31

Hi All
This is my favourite thread. I rarely post on my post-natal one as lots of people use it more frequently and 'know' each other better. As for the 'Due In Decemember' one Ceebee, it sounds like yours-it moves so quickly it is impossible to keep up.

Willmouse that is going to be quite a venture.

Bellie hope you found the pirate outfit.

HC hope the sunburn is better.

CE well hope all your effort pays off. Your walk sounds lovely-nothing wrong with Fish and Chips-my favourite take away.

Juanitad glad telling the head went well and enjoy breaking the news to your friends.

Today DD is walking around looking ridiculous-I chucked some old make up into the bin in our room and she dug it out and put it on!!!! As well as the lipstick and mascara, the minnie mouse dressing up shoes and the pink bandana finish the look off beautifully.

ChocolateEclair · 10/05/2008 09:47

hello ladies!

CE is horrified at the thought of the thread dying!!! horror horror! I love coming on here and I really feel like I have got to know all you guys. Think it's one of the few things keeping me sane in the ttc madness! I will make an effort to post more often!

Glad you are all ok, enjoying the weather and your pregnancies! Still find it mazing how far some of you are along already! I love hearing about all the MS, scans and quivering bellies....remember I have no idea what to expect. I only know a few people who have been pg recently and they live far away. It is reassuring for me, cos I am a total hyperchondriac and will prob assume every little twinge is something dreadful (when my time comes!)

Can you sense that I am being ridiculously positive this month! CD16 today, BDing going very well he he! Last month ov was CD19 so will keep it up over the weekend! This is also the first month on the agnus cactus and have read lots of stories about people getting pg when they start taking it. Don't worry I'm not getting my hopes up stupidly but just very positive!

Willmouse - sorry AF arrived the witch. Hope she doesn't over stay her welcome this time! Nursery sounds great! I would send my dc to it if they lived nearby! (In a few years LOL)

Waves to everyone. Maybe an update required on the stats???

DP took me out last night to Scarborough for a walk along the seafront, a fish and chip supper(!) and half a lager! (Sooooo romantic!) We felt like proper tourists! It was nice though in the sun, just nice to be together and not talk about ttc or babies for a few hours!

Have a great weekend everyone!

CE xx

MrsPuddleduck · 10/05/2008 09:22

Morining all.

AF arrived yesterday (no surprise there - at least I now know the exact day on which I ovulate - doesn't seem to help much though!).

I couldn't bear to leave this thread - in fact you will have to take out a court order to evict me and then an injunction to stop me stalking you on other threads!

OK nursery update (it cheering me up even though AF is here - I hope she doesn't stay for 11 days this time ) we have worked out if we rent somewhere we will need 7-8 full timers to break even (based on me and friend and one other employee which I think is the bare minimum). This would involve me and friend opening up at 8.00 and closing at 6.00 doing all the cooking and cleaning and in the evenings I will have to do NVQ level 3 in childcare - I don't know where being pg will fit into all that to start off with. If we can get it established and say 20 children it would be fine. I may have to hold off for a bit but I am really excited about the nursery .

Anyway, I think we should all make an effort to post more - we can't let the thread die

Soosy - how is the house hunting going?

Ceebee - I hope you get your BBQ - who wants to go to a stuffy restaurant in all these heat anyway when you could be sitting in your garden? We get too few nice days in this country to waste them inside imo.

HC - hope your sunburn improves - isn't baby lotion bad for sunburn (due to the oil content?)

Juanitad - glad your boss was understanding - it certainly helps.

Bellie - if all else fails - jeans, stripey t-shirt and a bandana (face paint a moustache and eye patch). Forgot you had endometriosis. I am now thinking that taking a load of tablets to stop blood flow ect (sorry if tmi) may not be helping.

MJIM - hope it is just wind. Perhaps a good fart will help
