There you are myjob! I must make a better effort to remember that monday is your weekend, lol! It soundfs like you had a great day. It can be embarrassing when they are so tired they have a tantrum like that. Good luck for your scan on Thursday!

HC - at your dh!! Where has that come from? Just a bad day hopefully, but I like ceebee's idea of saucy undies.

Ceebee, best of luck for Thursday, I bet you are really excited! I have everything crossed that all is well and with MM having 3 (:0), I don't think you need to worry about twins. Oh, I love the name Samuel but my best friend son is called Sam (although he is just Sam as far as I know, a bit like Jamie is Jamie and not James). Sam's have a tendancy to be highly strung . I hope your headache eases soon, I had one all weekend with the heat, not nice.

Thankfully I am feeling better than I was easlier. I had a nasty pain in my left side, sort of above the hip and radiated around the back slightly. Even went to the dr who rules out obvious causes. He thinks I may have pulld something. He did insist on listening to the baby though, he obviously enjoyed himself and admitted he doesn't get the chance often as there is a nurse/midwife attached to the surgery. We very sweet of him and I never tire of hearing baby. Also feeling definate movement, the odd poke and prod as well as rolling and if in a position baby doesn't like, a proper kick. I LOVE it!

Ooh HC - it sounds like you might need to put some saucy underwear on

ceebee74 · 13/05/2008 21:18

Evening ladies

HC/CE - sounds like you might both need to be BDing tonight - hope that it works for both of you!

MJIM - see what happens when you disappear for a couple of days - we all get so worried! Glad you have had a lovely day - I guess days like this make it worthwhile being a SAHM! I know it was much easier looking after DS yesterday when we could go to the park, play in the garden etc - when it is winter, I find it so hard.

Hi to everyone else

36 hours to go until scan - can't you tell I can't wait for it!! I want you all to send me positive non-twin vibes on Thursday morning please

Was meant to be working from home tomorrow and was going to sneak a visit to my friend who had a baby girl last week but I have finished the work I was going to do so have to go into the office now - grrr! It is my friend's birthday aswell so it would have been a perfect day to go round. Have had to postpone it now until Thursday after my scan. Can't wait for a cuddle from a new-born baby!!

Baby names - still going with Cassie Rose for a girl and I think me and DH have agreed on Samuel (Sam) for a boy - but there is still 6 months to go so no doubt we will change our minds before then.

Right early night for me as I have a headache!!

DH seems to have come in tonight with a no more children attitude so who knows? Men!

Hello all - spent most of the day painting the playhouse - only to run out of paint so actually it is only half painted! 2 more sides to go. Not sure it will get finished before the rain comes as dd is at home all day tomorrow and painting and dd do not mix

Dh out tonight so going to catch up on some of my sky+ programmes - desperate housewives extravaganza in the bellie household tonight

fingers crossed for positive temp rises tomorrow!! xx lol HC dh is the same as yours - could never complain as only time is ttc!!

CE - dh has smoothies everyday - there was a programme on not too long ago where they showed that having a smoothie a day was positive for sperm production and therefore conception - you may have to tempt him some more with the choice of flavours!!

Willmouse - are you looking at hols for 2009? obviously I need to be more organised - thought I was doing well with having 2 booked this year by March!!

Hope everyone else ok - looking forward to scan news.

Off for my tv fest xx

HumphreysCorner · 13/05/2008 17:44

Afternoon ladies

Have been in the garden all day with mum and dad so very nice.

I think we will go for it tonight. Honestly, if I do fall PG eventually I will be happy with a girl or boy-am just trying to see if the theory works. Although, if DH has a low sperm count we will only have girls according to Hazel CF.

Yes, where is MJIM? Not like her to disappear for so long.

ChocEclair-don't think my DH would ever complain about too much BDing as he never gets any unless we are TTC. Poor lad! Hope both our temps rise in the morning.

willmouse-have never been to Turkey but have heard it is unbearably hot in August. Can't remember when you were planning to go.

Waves to everyone else-am off to get some tea ready and have a glass of Blossom Hill. Could watch Lost and swoon over Sayid. Have just watched last weeks Holby and drooled over Mr Cullen and Mr Spence.

Hi ladies

Willmouse - we went to Turkey last July and it was unbelieveably hot. The hottest place I hae ever been anyway, up in the 40's a lot of the time! Not sure about May though.

HC - sounds about right. I am now a FF expert I think! CM should be egg white and get +ve OPK the day before ovulation and temp would rise the next day indicating ov has happened.

My body doesn't seem to play ball either, well everything else is right so temp should have gone up this morning but didn't! I have texted DP to say we need to BD again tonight....he hasn't replied! LOL (poor thing is knackered!)

Looking forwards to the scans coming up!

Hope MJIM is OK...has she posted on her ante natal thread?

Having a very healthy tea of chargrilled chicken breast, stuffed peppers and mini roast potatoes. Hope all this stuff helps keep any 'beanies' healthy! DP even bought himself a smoothie yesterday, the 1st in his life! He hates fruit normally LOL

Heartmum2Jamie · 13/05/2008 16:27

HC, I would go for it. I know you can get a poitive as early as 48 hours before you O, so get busy, lol!

Where is mjim, I haven't seen her around.

Willmouse, no I agree, I wouldn't do Turkey in May. They had the Grand Prix there this weekend and they said it was unseasonable cold, they were wearing coats and jumpers and we were playing in the paddling pool, lol! We tend to take our hols in September, but we are not held to the same rules as schools with regards to holidays. We always have great weather wherever we go in Septemeber, whether it is in the UK or abroad.

majormoo · 13/05/2008 13:54

all sounds a bit complicated HC but good luck with it!
Willmouse one of the mum's from school has just got back from a week in Turkey. It was cold and rained while here is was scorching. So top tip-do not book Turkey for May!!

MrsPuddleduck · 13/05/2008 10:26

HC - sounds like you need to go for it if you're after a blue swimmer! Perhaps tomorrow as well???

Good luck with that one mate! It's far too complicated for me. I would be lucky to catch any swimmer, never mind a pink one!

HumphreysCorner · 13/05/2008 09:55

Morning ladies

Heartmum-really love Sophie (my DD2 ) Charlotte and Amelia for a girl. Undecided on the boys at the mo.

junanitad-people do not engage their brain before opening their mouths sometimes.

Not long until the scans.

Well, I got a +ive OPK last night. I am calling in +ive as it tends to be the only one I get so even though it is not mega dark I count it to be +ive. My CM yesterday was sticky and today more creamy but FF said prob not fertile on both temp and CM but fertile based on my +ive OPK. Do you think tonight should be the night????? Was laid awake all night thinking about it and waiting to take my temp to see if it had risen-it hadn't but if it does tomorrow then today (CD11) will be marked as OV day I should think. Will do an OPK tonight to check the darkness. Crikey, don't know what to do as we need to BD on OV day and the next then stop. Help!!!

Mum and dad here so got to go. Back later.

Love to all

Morning all.

Weather still lovely here - aparently it is going to rain come Thursday so best make the most of it!

H2MJ - I love your names - my favourites are Nathaniel and Freya (I know a lovely Freya so I am biased!) (my nephew is Zach so I am biased on that name as well iyswim!).

Juanitad - sounds to me like your colleague is jealous - you never really know how people are going to react. When we told all DH's friends (from school - they have stayed in touch) I remember one of the ladies ran into the bathroom pretty sharpish. They were obviously ttc on the quiet themselves as her DS is about 6 months younger than my DS!. The next phase will be people feeling they have the right to pat your tummy without even consulting you. I remember when pg with DS1 most of my clients used to do it - the female ones I mean LOL - I think half of Penkridge patted me!

CE -don't give up on the BD'ing yet - can't you still be fertile up to 4 days after ovulation? Don't quote me on that but I think that's what I have read!

Right off to do some work now (honestly!).

Actually I'm off to check next years holiday brochures - Turkey is the lastest option!

majormoo · 12/05/2008 20:58

oh and Bellie I have always wanted to try reflexology

majormoo · 12/05/2008 20:57

Juanitad that is so rude of that woman! Probably jealous

Ceebee agree with the others-the odd glass is fine in my book. I think this sudden 'zero' alcohol units thing is ludicrous and assumes woman are too stupid to know they shouldn't down a bottle of vodka every night while pregnant.

CE oh the days of open air sex. Hope it did the trick.

HM2J I Connor and Jamie. I looked at the list and from them I like Ava and Dylan best I think but lots of nice names on there

Paddling pool was more successful this time as DD had a friend round to play in it. Off to eat dinner in the garden now.

ceebee74 · 12/05/2008 19:47

Evening ladies

I should have realised that you weren't going to flame me - I forget sometimes how supportive everyone is on here rather than the judgemental side of MN. The wine was lovely btw but I had a bad night's sleep as I didn't feel great so not sure it was a good idea in hindsight

HM2J - will look at the list of names in a bit when I get more time but from the names that have already been mentioned - I love Finlay! My nephew is called that otherwise it would have been a definite on my list.

Juanitad - am totally at your colleague - why on earth do people think they can make those kind of comments just cos you are pg? Glad the presentation went well

Bellie - am v about the reflexology - I lurve having my feet played with so it sounds absolutely fab!!

CE - I think leaf is a very pretty name You think that we are just not doing it in strange places because we have already have lo's - in my case, no, we have just never done it in strange places - bedroom all the way for us

MJIM - where are you today? This time in 3 days, our scans will be done - yeah!

Right, need to go and make tea - will try and catch up later but I have to do some work aswell.

x

Bellie · 12/05/2008 19:28

Juanitad what a thing to say to a pregnant lady!! - I hope she said congratulations too!!

HM2J - really like Zachery and Nathan and Rhianna and Amelia - what is your guess b or g?

Not going to flame ceebee at all. I wished that I could have had a glass with dd, but went right off alcohol and couldn't even bear the smell of it !!

Had some reflexology today as it is supposed to help with fertility problems. It was great - thought I would be a bit ewww as don't really like people touching my feet, but it was so relaxing I fell asleep - only to be woken by my own snoring .

off to cook now dd is in bed but first water the pots - it has been really hot again here today!!

ChocolateEclair · 12/05/2008 19:13

Juanitad!!! That's TERRIBLE!!! Why are some people are just soooo clueless...maybe she is jealous though? Sometimes I think folks can't think of anything to say, and end up putting their foot in it!

Glad the presentation went well though

Heartmum2Jamie · 12/05/2008 17:58

Juanitad, I am glad that the training session went well but OMG, what a terrible thing to say to a pregnant lady. We have been chating insensitive comments on the antenatal thread, I think you could win for today!

Thanks CE! These are just names I like. As I said, I haven't discussed it with dh (or more like he has his head in the sand), he will probably say no to the lot of them. Grrrr! Yay for O'ing today though, sounds like you deserve a rest after tonight!

juanitad · 12/05/2008 17:43

Phew, glad that's over! The training session went ok, the staff seemed quite happy with it, although the head did give me a few pointers on what else I should have included, so it wasn't perfect, but nor was it a disaster! Anyway, it's done now, and I don't have to do it again for a very very long time!

Told somebody at work today I was pg, and she said she could tell, because I was carrying all the weight on my bum!! Cheeky cow!! I didn't really think I had put any weight on, apart from round my middle, but now I can't stop checking out my backside in the mirror!! I know there is no point being vain in pregnancy, but still...........

Hope the sunshine has hung around for everyone. It's another lovely day here, although cooler than yesterday.

HM2J, haven't looked at your list yet, will have a look now and let you know what I think later...not that it matters what I think, so long as you and DH are happy with the name you choose.

ChocolateEclair · 12/05/2008 17:07

OOO heartmum - great names! I think I like them all just about! I really like Zach and Finlay for a boy, and Amelia, Anna and Sophie for a girl. All lovely though!

Do you suspect you are having a B or G???

Impressed with Juanitads list of purchases! You won't need to buy anything else! Hope your presentation went well

Glad I amused you with the BDing stories! HM2J - LOL about the hotel bathroom! Willmouse you are not boring! (You just have kids!). Guess we should make the most of ttc while being childless as I can imagine ttc dc#2 and #3 must be more challenging!

Think I have ov'd today (woohoo!) so only one more BD tonight then I can have a rest LOL!

Hope everyone else is ok
