Hi all,

Have made a resolution to post more on here! CE hope you are doing okay today and that work goes well tomorrow. I can understand you wanting to back to normal.

Yesterday at work, some kids finally twigged that I was preg and plucked up the courage to ask me (they made me promise not to shout at them before they would ask though!) so at least now word will spread and they'll know why I've been putting on a bit of chub!

Not impressed with the weather today - isn't it meant to be summer??!!!

How's everyone else doing today?

ChocolateEclair · 18/06/2008 19:00

Thanks for everyones comments - a bit torn about going back to work tomorrow. I need to get a little bit of normal back and it will take my mind off stuff, but feel quite nervous and worried I might not be able to look at people

Fingers crossed for HC and the testing!!!

sounds lovely having other kids over for tea and all that. I see what you mean about them growing up though. It's good that she isn't too shy to go without you I think - a confident young lady

I have been looking at hols again! DP says it is ok for us to go! Yey! So looking at Turkey again as we had such a fab time last year and it's really cheap!

majormoo · 18/06/2008 18:36

HC you will get used to it. I love it when my DD goes to other people for tea. Trouble is it is now my turn to have three children round for tea over the next couple of weeks.

Did not see Sawyer as unfortunately no Sky here, but cannot believe he did not look better than Said

HumphreysCorner · 18/06/2008 17:12

Bellie-DD1 is 4 (5 in July) and I am dreading it even though she is already there. The mum has an older boy so is used to it. I'm not!

HC - what age is your dd1? I dread the day that dd is asked out for tea on her own! Not sure what I am going to say!

CE - hope you enjoyed your day of trashy tv and that work goes ok tomorrow.

We have been to dd's sports day today - it was so cute to see them running and doing the egg and spoon. (proud mummy alert dd came first in 2 races!!)

Hope you have good hols those that are going away.

Will be on tomorrow to see the results of the testing xx

HumphreysCorner · 18/06/2008 16:19

ChocEclair-one thing that kept me going was the planning to TTC again even though we were advised to wait a bit. We waited until the first AF following the MC. Your DP will come round to the idea. Will be thinking of you tomorrow when you are back at work-not easy, that first day. Yup, am testing tomorrow for a laugh.

ceebee-I did see Sawyer coming out of the water. Still doesn't compare to my man fighting the rambo guy. Have to say that I prefer Sayid with his curly hair rather than back in civvy street all coiffured. Ew!

All those going on their jollies have a fab time. DD1 gone to tea at this girl from school's house-only met the mum tonight. DD2 is missing her and I'm on tenterhooks until she is dropped home at 6-30pm.

really sorry to hear your news CE. I haven't been on for a couple of days. Sounds like your DH is taking good care of you. As others have said take it easy-it takes some time to come to terms with. I would say at about 6 weeks it can be really tough as people (including yourself) kind of expect you to be over it.

Hi to everyone else. Good to hear from you BB. Soosy hope you are doing OK

Heartmum2Jamie · 18/06/2008 12:29

CE: I am so terribly sorry hon, I haven't been on for a few days. Your dp sounds like a gem though and the flowers are beautiful. HUGS

Mandy: good luck with the BD fest!

Hi to everyone else! Sorry, I really don't have time to catch up properly as I am supposed to be cleaning, washing and packing ready for our hols on Saturday. The big problem I have is that A) I have no tumbledrier yet (blew up about 4 months ago) so washing is going very slow and I don't have many clothes that actually fit )today I am wearing normal jeans with an elastic band holding them together and a t-shirt of dh's. Plus the weather is meant to be a real mixed bag, so means I will have to pack twice as many clothes...grrr! Remind me to take my hols abroad next year.

I doubt very much I will make it back to the boards before we leave, so I hope you all have a great 10 days or so and hope to hear some good stuff from some of you when I get back, even if it is just "bd'ing went well, feeling hopeful" ect.

Mandy73 · 18/06/2008 11:32

Hi there, I hope everyone?s having an OK day.

BB, it?s brave of you to bring up the lust issue/?must-have-sex-stress?, or what to call it. I?m sorry about the rowing. This was one of my worries; getting DH on to the ?having to do it on certain days?-thinking and what that can do to the relationship (his libido has always fluctuated more than mine), but he?s been OK so far.
Fingers crossed for you both. x

CE, I hope going back to work tomorrow is the right thing for you. Enjoy looking at holidays & crap telly - sometimes it's just what you need. x

HC that is really exciting!! Fingers crossed for you.

I'm on CD 4 & gearing up for the next BD Fest 2008 (Summer of Love): 27/6 - 1-/7 or so - got new OPK, fake tan & some cheap tarty nighties Whatever works, yes?

ChocolateEclair · 18/06/2008 09:10

morning all

BB - so glad you are back posting again. I too know exactly what you mean about the struggles to get the BDing in at the right time! The ttc was totally doing my head in, but strangely I am now quite looking forward to trying again. I did have a little talk with DP about this last night and sort of think he would like to wait a while, but he might be OK in a few weeks I hope.

Juanitad - I agree with ceebee and HC. This thread really is for everyone and is sooooo much more than a ttc thread. It wouldn't have survived this long if it was only about that!

HC - so you will test thursday!!! Are you excited? I am excited on your behalf . Good luck!

Mandy - thanks for saying nice things. I am trying to be positive, as it's the only way I know how to be tbh. Life tends to chuck stuff at us sometimes and you just have to get on with it. I am very upset still, don't get me wrong, but also trying to look forwards.

I am going to look at some more holidays today. We had a beach holiday in Marmaris, Turkey last summer and it was lovely, so might try to find something similar. Apart from that I think I will watch Jeremy Vile! as I don't normally watch such rubbish and I HATE that man wth a passion, but it fills in the morning quite well! I'm going back to work tomorrow definetly - need to be a bit normal for a few days.

Hi to all xx

ceebee74 · 17/06/2008 21:23

CE - gosh those flowers are just gorgeous - your DP is a good'un. Agree a holiday is probably just what you need

BB - I think we have all been there and done that with our DH/DP's moaning about TTC - not helpful at all is it??

HC - yes that was the last episode and it was Locke - not sure where the Jeremy Bentham thing came from but I am sure all will be revealed. Did you see Sawyer come out of the sea????

Juanitad - please visit us more often - I had noticed that you hadn't been posting as often but I honestly believe this thread has become so much more than a TTC thread - I definitely prefer it to our ante-natal thread.

Right off to bed - early night for me!

ChocEclair-how thoughtful of your DP as he will be hurting too. A break away is just what you need to recharge your batteries.

Agree-this thread is for everyone.

Think I am next to test starting on Thursday at 10DPO Then it will be willmouse (I think).

ceebee-have just watched Lost that I downloaded. The episode that ends with Ben talking to Jack in the funeral parlour-is that the last one? Also, was that Locke pretending to be Jeremy Bentham???

Love to all. No Holby tonight so nothing on until Big Brother. Have not slept for several nights now so feel tired but wide awake as soon as I lay down.

Hi there, just a quickie to pop in and see how everyone is, esp you CE, have been thinking about you. Again, just have to say you are being amazingly strong and positive. xx

BB, nice to see you. I totally understand if this is all doing your head in - I'm with you on that. If I wasn't so busy with work I'd be in the loony bin by now.

Juanita, nice to see you, you're not a fraud at all! It's lovely with a mixture of people at various stages = more good advice around!

juanitad · 17/06/2008 18:15

A holiday is definitely a good idea CE, and just think, it's only 5 weeks till we break up for that wonderful thing called summer holidays. I'm sure what you're going through could never happen at a good time, but at least it's not the stressful run-up to the exams or that never-ending Christmas term which might make you feel worse! It'll be lovely for you and DP to have a bit of relaxin time out together. Where were you thinking you might go? Are you active holiday types or chilling on the beach catching the rays? Tell us when you book somewhere. After last year's mammoth holiday ( we went to Las Vegas and got married! Then went to San Francisco, then Mexico - it cose a fortune!) we can't really afford a holiday this year, so will just be having a weekend in a friend's cottage in the Lake District. Still, I'm really looking forward to it as I've never been to the Lake District.

A day eating choc and wine gums sounds like a good way of recuperating. I'm glad you've not gone back in yet. I'm sure the staff will be really tactful when you get back and at least the kids didn't know, as they sometimes can put their foot in it!

Anyway, sorry I've not been around too much recently - I've been reading the thread every day, but sometimes I feel like a fraud on here as this is a TTC thread, although it's my favourite thread and I don't want to leave. But sometimes I keep a bit of a low profile.

Hope everyone else is well, good to see you BB, hope TTC isn't doing your head in too much. It's all a bit of a head f**k isn't it? Sorry to swear!

Bellie · 17/06/2008 18:07

wow - they are gorgeous flowers ce. What a wonderful and thoughtful dh.
Glad to hear than you had a restful afternoon.

I'm fine hope everyone else is too!

ChocolateEclair · 17/06/2008 17:12

Afternoon all

Just wanted to share a piccie of the lovely flowers my fantastic DP has just brought me!

Have spent the afternoon with hot water bottle in my jeans, eating wine gums and chocolate, and trawling through last minute holidays for when I break up - we weren't going to go away but think we might deserve it now!

Hope you guys are all ok - who is next to test? HC??? Willmouse???

Bellie · 17/06/2008 10:54

Morning - CE sorry to hear that you had a bad night. Hope the physical side is getting better for you. It is a good plan to get someone else to tell everyone at work as hopefully you won't have to keep explaining all the time (that was what I found the worst).

Wave to everyone else - Soosy and BB - hope you are Ok and willmouse too!

ceebee74 · 17/06/2008 10:28

Ce - sorry you have had a bad night - was wondering how you were this morning. Just remember to do whatever you need to - eat chocolate, watch rubbish TV etc! And you are entitled to cry - even at work!!

Hi to everyone else - lovely to hear from you BB although I can understand why you are just lurking at the mo

x

ChocolateEclair · 17/06/2008 10:03

HC - paracetemol and DP's grandmas hot water bottles! (I agree about the temping being a fun way to start the day, and you feel like you are actually 'doing' something).

Forgot to say Hi to soosy - how are you this week?

HumphreysCorner · 17/06/2008 10:00

Morning ladies

ChocEclair-do take plenty of paracetamol to help you through the cramping. Thinking of you.

Waves to everyone else.

Thanks so much for all your posts ladies. It really does mean a lot to me. Very nice to hear from BB and Juanitad as well...we miss you!

Had a bit of a bad night (not going to go into TMI)but hoping the worst is over.....physically anyway(not sure if being optimisitc here). DP has been brilliant but he has gone to work today. I am not going to go back to work til thursday now, and I have asked my boss to tell staff where I am, so I don't get too many people asking...I know I will just cry

I do agree with Juanitad's comment though. At least we know we can get pg, and now we know what we are doing with the temping, hopefully we will be able to move on soon-ish. I am going to take some time out to deal with things though, don't worry.

Thanks again xxxxx
