HM2J - you may have noticed that I didn't kick you so can I still be your friend?

Bellie - have a fab fab holiday and make sure you get lots of rest!

Am knackered tonight - roll on the second trimester when I get full of energy

Not got much planned for the weekend - DH is playing cricket on Saturday and Sunday this week which is just great! Although where he is playing tomorrow has a little playground attached to it so I might take DS down for a bit - although I just have this vision of him seeing DH on the field and running on to play with him

I've got that thermometer but from Babymad on Ebay-works so much better than the child's fever one I was using.

Don't feel PG anymore so won't test until Sunday and then Tuesday and that will be it.

Have a good evening ladies.

Just wanted to say really really massive hooray to Bellie, best news I have heard all week. Enjoy your holiday and the 6th is not that far away. I am so so so excited for you! I a keeping everything crossed.

Will post again later - S

Mandy73 · 23/05/2008 18:47

I'm overwhelmed by your kindness, encouragement & knowledge.
Mjob, thank you, I know what' you're saying. Should talk to the guy. He's probably thinking about it too if I know him.
Bellie, thanks, and congratulations!
ChocolateEclair, thank you. Lots of sex but no clue if I actually OV. Last two years my cycle's suddenly been all over the place, 26-32 days, and weird CM, like something out of a horror film sometimes (sorry). But I'm healthy down below, so hey. Suppose all that stuff just changes over the years.
Enjoy the long w/e everyone. x

Oh, what a lovely welcome this afternoon, being kicked from all directions, lol! You know I nearly just decided to slip quietly off the thread as I didn't want to upset anyone when i got my BFP. I honestly wish it would happen as quickly for al of you too, although poor dh is moaning about lack of practicing, lol!

Welcome Mandy73! We are a nice bunch really, just mind the other's while they aim their kicks at me!

Well, ds has had an odd day. He woke early for him and did ok until lunch time. The he suddenly went whingy, cold and shivery, but flushed in the face (No obvious temp) and tired. I managed to get him into a pull up, which involved much tears from him. He fell asleep on the sofa, woke up briefly when I moved him to his bed and then continued to sleep for 3 1/2 hours . He'll be a bugger to get to sleep tonight, but I have missed him this afternoon, so will keep him up for a bit, especially as I have no lost to watch as it wasn't on in the US this week.

Right, best get ready to dish up cottage pie!

MrsPuddleduck · 23/05/2008 16:22

As much as I would like it to be an implantation bleed (and I did have one of these with DS2) I don't think it can be

Bleeding started on CD13 and so far this month (due to AF's long visit and DH's FA cup visit ) have only managed it once on CD11 - I would be ovulating mega early if this was the case!

ChocolateEclair · 23/05/2008 16:15

hi ladies!
I have officially broken up so DP and I have 9 days off together!!! woo hoo!!!

HC - you crack me up. I knew you would test today, I just just knew it!!! pmsl Glad you are not down about it though!

bellie - have a fab time on holiday and try to relax a little!

willmouse - I was thinking the same as bellie but didn't want to say

mandy - I think if you know you have been ovulating and know you have been BDing on the fertile days then the doc would see you after 10 months. However, is you are not sure you have been ovulating or have had sex at the right times each month, then that might be a positive step. You could do the ov sticks or try temping - it's really easy, and the thermometers only cost a couple of quid. It has helped me a lot as I ovulate much later in my cycle than I had thought so had been BDing at totally the wrong times! Good Luck
thermometer

MJIM and HM2J - LOL at you guys being 'kicked' by us for catching your eggs first or 2nd go! We are only jealous!

Bellie · 23/05/2008 15:42

well, all packed apart from dd's bed toys

Just waiting for the inlaws to arrive and then we will finally be in holiday mode.
Have decided to tell everyone that I have a waterworks infection so I won't be able to drink on holiday - just want to wait a bit longer yet! I think my mum might twig though but really don't want to tempt fate!

HC - sorry about the bfn, but research is always good. You may want to wait until Sunday before testing again though (for research of course )

Mandy - it took 3 months with dd, 3 months which ended with ectopic, and 17 months and just got my BFP. Started going for the tests in Feb this year and was waiting to go back and see the consultant in July, so if you are getting worried maybe it is worth taking the first steps.

Mjim - hope ds finds the puzzle fun but hard iyswim!

willmouse glad to hear that you went to the doctors, even though they wern't that much help. (could it be implantation bleed - whispers v v v quietly?)

May not be on now until Sun 1st June, but want lots of BFP's and gossip to catch up on please!!

fingers crossed for all and big waves!

MrsPuddleduck · 23/05/2008 15:18

Hi Everyone and welcome Mandy! HC, naughty for testing too soon, have a great hols.
Hi CeeBee - yes it is an adorable age the DS at.
Knax x

HumphreysCorner · 23/05/2008 11:44

Morning all

Hold off testing-as if! For research purposes only and of course it was a BFN.

willmouse-not sure about counting CD1 as I suspect it is some mid cycle blip never to happen again. BTW-it was Heartmum who struck lucky the first month of TTC.

Hello and welcome Mandy73. As willmouse said 10 months is not that long for your first although if you are like me I cried every month after 3 months of trying. After a year I was just about to go for tests when hey presto DD1 was conceieved. I am TTC No 3 and charting my temps on Fertility Friend and using OV sticks-the best value supply is from here. You can either have all OV sticks or a mixture of OV & PG test sticks for that all important obsessive testing. (Oh, that is just me that does that ) As I said to Knax, please stick around.

ChocEclair-my temp has stayed the same today at 36.89 but it doesn't say triphasic. When I look back at previous charts my temp dips and rises exactly the same as this month so not holding out much hope. Am 10 DPO so will test in 2 days at 12 DPO then 14 DPO. Think I will be back on that there Ebay buying more PG tests to feed my obsession. FF does tell you that you can still be PG even if your temp doesn't shoot up so everything crossed for you. Am having fun ticking all the boxes and getting lots of coloured squares on my chart.

Bellie-everything OK today?

Must go and do some ironing. Will be busy packing the caravan at the weekend ready for our little jaunt on Tuesday-that will pass the time. Waves to everyong else.

Mandy, it can take longer than you think sometimes. It took me 12 months to conceive DS1 and we had started investigations - so it may be good to get started down that road becuase it can take a long time to get appointments etc and you never know you will probably conceive in the meantime! I conceived half way through the tests so never needed any treatment!

.....at this point we all give MyJobisMum a kick in the shins for conceiving in her first month of trying !!!!!!

DP means 'darling partner' as opposed to DH - 'darling husband'. If you look at the top of the page across from 'useful stuff' you will see 'acronym list' - but to be honest (or tbh!) there are millions of abreviations which do not appear to be on the list I think people make them up as they go along - wdeet?

Good luck with the sticks - HC will tell you where to get cheap ones of Ebay.

Mandy73 · 23/05/2008 10:24

Thanks guys! You seem v friendly indeed.

HC is the ov stick expert!!
Thanks Bellie! I'll see how it goes.

DP says I think of nothing else!
Thanks ChocolateEclair, I know the feeling. Upsetting me more than I want to admit really. Who's DP? (sorry, getting to grips with cracking the abbreviations code..)

Right, I shall come clean and admit to you friendly ladies DH and I haven't had the 'talk' about the fact that after 10 cycles no BFP and that I'm getting concerned. I'm dreading it. Feels like it'll add lots of stress. Naive of me to want it to 'just happen'? Well I suppose we're gonna have to have The Talk before 28 May when I start the ov sticks. Also GP wants to refer me in August if nothing.

MrsPuddleduck · 23/05/2008 10:13

Well, I have been to the doctors, and, as suspected, got sent away and told not to worry. Aparently it sounds like my hormones are all over the place

Actually the doctor is very nice. I am due a smear so I need to have that and see what the results are and then go back if I get the bleeding again next month and they will do some more investigations.

Aparently it could be due to stress - I suppose I have been quite stressed lately, although oddly I have never slept so well as I have done in the past couple of weeks as I have been very tired and believe me I am a REALLY bad sleeper.

So, do I count yesterday as CD1 - the bleeding is not too bad although I have quite bad cramps so perhaps I should carry on with it being CD14???

Hi to Mandy and everyone!!

Bellie · 23/05/2008 09:15

CE - yes DH is over the moon, but no I have not stopped worrying yet (probably won't until scan so can see bean in right position!)
Still keeping everything crossed for you and hope for good news from you on return from hols!

HC - have you managed to hold off today??

Ceebee - tops sound great! And a bargain!!

Willmouse - have you rung for an appointment?

Wave to everyone else!

ceebee74 · 23/05/2008 09:07

Welcome Mandy and Knax - please do stick around as we are a very friendly bunch!

Knax - my DS was born 14 July so is just a couple of weeks younger than your DS - adorable aren't they?

HC - have you tested yet???

Willmouse - fingers crossed for you today at the doctors.

Just got 2 fab tops from Sainsburys - they were only £5 each and will easily see me through summer I reckon even though they are not maternity wear! Nice and floaty round the tummy area

ChocolateEclair · 23/05/2008 07:37

just a quickie before work ladies

hope you have relaxed bellie (bet you're so excited about telling DH...he will be over the moon I am sure!)

welcome to mandy and knax - I am ttc #1 cycle 4 and this thread has been my saviour (I am obsesssing also!). DP says I think of nothing else!

willmouse - please go to doctors . Hide behind the prescription if you need to but do go! There are loads of threads on here where everyone says "go to the doctors" and people don't! Or was it over enthusiastic sex after all?!?!?!? (crazy thought!)

My temp has dropped slightly again, so def not triphasic. I could still be pg though but keeping a lid on excitment! CD29 (9DPO) and resisting! If I can resist testing this weekend I will manage to wait til wed (that's if AF doesn't visit first!)

have a great day CE xx

Bellie · 23/05/2008 07:20

Hi Mandy73 - welcome to the thread!!
Hopefully you will find us lucky too!! .

Not tried the ov sticks but I had a clearblue fertility monitor which definately helped me. HC is the ov stick expert!! I'm sure that she will be back later and can help!.

Wildly going to pack today and meet dh from the airport!

Willmouse - DOCTORS!!

Mandy73 · 22/05/2008 22:55

Hi there,
Can I join please? Luckiest thread around sounds v tempting
Like Knax getting pretty obsessed - TCC #1 for 10 cycles now, decided I need some control so starting the clearblue digital OV sticks thingy 28 May (CD 11). Anyone tried it?
Hell, I don't even know if I OV. All very new and technical this.

Hi willmouse, i'm no expert but can't some people bleed a bit after slightly 'enthusiastic' BD? Hope you're ok.

HumphreysCorner · 22/05/2008 22:33

Good willmouse-will check on you tomorrow.

Knax-keep posting won't you? New ladies join then disappear into the night-don't be a stranger. Oh, and definitely no testing for you yet at 7DPO.

Night ladies.

Hi knax welocme to the thread - it is the luckiest around

Willmouse - first thing in the morning call the doctor and make the appointment - you cannot spend a bank holiday worrying/stressing about it all.

Off to bed now - will try to get on tomorrow but have lots of packing to do.

And

Tell DH!!!!

MrsPuddleduck · 22/05/2008 21:46

Thanks HC and Knax - I think I will go in the morning (keep forgetting we have a bank holiday).

I can hide my embarassment behind my repeat prescription if I get sent away.

Will report back in the morning.
