Wow Knax, congratulations! You must stick around to hel make this thread successful for everyone else, lol! Oh, and for what it's worth, I had NO symptoms at all pre testing either.

Soosy, thinking of you today, will try my best to get on at 12 to sprinkle my baby dust!

CE, have a lovely time camping, I hope your morning sickness eases up this weekend.

Majormoo, just sending some hugs, I can't imagine how stressful the wait for the NT is. I will be holding you in my thoughts.

I finally had my first dream about baby....it was a girl and I think she was called Amanda which is not a name on our list (damn Britain's got talent, it has alot to answer for, lol!). Baby was a cutie, looked like a cross between DS's at about 6 or 7 months, chunkier than ds2, but less hair than ds1, still blonde & straight haired though! Only 13 days until we know if the dream is right.

Lots of luck to all the ladies in waiting!!! And Hi to everyone else.
knax xxx
p.s. didn't have any symptoms BTW (for research purposes) except a mild cramping that i thought was AF on way

soosy · 29/05/2008 20:42

Book the taxi Knax!

Majormoo Everything will be fine, but I know how you feel. Big Hug.

MJIM Have a lovely time with your friends.

CE I think you a v brave camping I can't do it, I wish I could. I have a 2ww after tomorrow, well I suppose it's really 12 days.

Thank you for the dust, it is carefully stashed away!

Sx

majormoo · 29/05/2008 20:29

knax you are not self obsessed-we are all the same when wondering if this is our month or not. I think you should wait til Saturday if you can.

Knax · 29/05/2008 20:26

bless you lovely ladies for all your good luck wishes with the testing!!!
I'm planning to hold off until tomorrow morning but have this bad omen AF will arrive tomorrow, so i don't feel optimistic. Was also wondering if I should try to make myself wait to test til sat if she hasn't arrived tomorrow.
Have a party on sat so if i'm not pg will commiserate with lots of wine!! Was wondering if it might be good luck to book a taxi but am secretly hoping will have to drive due to no AF by then!
feel a bit under pressure that I'm building it all up now when i know i'm going to get Af in next couple of days...
sorry to be so self-obsessed. Love to you all.

Soosy really hope it is successful tomorrow

HM2J well done for successful complaining

Mandy enjoy your trip away and hope it is successful! When we TTC DD I did not really mention it too much to friends. However, one of them found some folic acid in our bathroom cupboard, I started going to the gym more and not having big nights out, so it was not a huge surprise to most of them.

CE enjoy camping-hope you get some sunshine.

Shame the Indiana Jones film wasn't good. The review I read said it was pretty mediocre too. I was really looking forward to seeing it too (ha-like I ever go to the cinema to see grown up films)

Ceebee hope you have enjoyed your day off shopping.

Babydrip enjoy your gardening. Hope you are successful as well.

I am still in a bad mood today. Not really about anything in particular, but just feeling really low. I think it is really because the scan is on Tuesday and it is such a stressful time for me. Whilst DH seems to have forgotten completely. Yesterday when I asked whether he was planning to go into the office or work from home on Tuesday, he looked at me blankly, not remembering at all that we had the scan in the afternoon. Men!

Have a lovely weekend ladies, I will be back on Sunday night or Monday if not. Keep your fingers crossed for some nice weather for us! Try not to miss me too much! LOL!

I will be thinking of you Soosy at 12 tomorrow (whilst 'supervising' DP pitching tent !). Really really hope it goes well for you. What happens after tomorrow? Do you wait a certain time then do pg test?

Good luck to Mandy and Knax for testing!!!! (would love to come back to some BFPs!)

CE xx

MrsPuddleduck · 29/05/2008 15:32

H2Mj - well done! Hopefully if she has managed to get a letter to you she has also sent that fax!

Soosy - good luck for tomorrow!

Mjim - I was told that you measure differently depending on how the baby is lying. The charts are all based on the baby being head down in the correct position. If they are diagonal or sideways on the measurement itsn't worth the paper it's written on! I had a few extra scans because they thought DS2 was going to be large. In the end he was 7lb 13oz born at 39 weeks. DS1 was 8lb 5oz.

soosy · 29/05/2008 14:33

Hooray HM2J good for you, I went private with DS, he had taken a long time and we had already spent an enormous amount of money on IVF so a little more on private care seemed churlish. I have to say it was fab and should I get pg again I would spend the money again, it is the sort of care you should get on the NHS but don't.

MJIM glad everything ok with the wriggler! Was DS1 a big baby, as they say they get bigger the more you have!

Testing time good luck girls.

DS wants attention so I am off, Embryo transfer 12 noon tomorrow, so a collective shower of babydust then would not go a miss and in fact be very welcome!

Love to you all

Sx

Heartmum2Jamie · 29/05/2008 13:28

MJIM, no, that makes sense. At least once I thought that was what I might have heard and told myself that it was the baby had moved and I could hear myself before the baby moved back, but maybe it wasn't.

Knax, good luck with the testing!

Willmouse, you will never guess what I got in the post today? The most a*se licking letter of apology from Miss Dixon herself . I bet my notes actually state on the somewhere that I have made an official complaint about the trust before, so I bet she was worried I would not make light of my threat. Or she didn't want me to go to the press, seeing as there is already a rather fetching story about Stafford hospital on the front of our local paper again this week. Still, I would say it is a result HM2J 1 - OB 0

Hi babydrip and mandy. When will you both test???? You should ideally wait until around 12-14 DPO to avoid false negatives, but plenty of us on here have tested before that! Call it research if it helps! (or novelty factor!)

mandy - glad this has helped you. I know exactly what you mean. We didn't tell any RL f+f that we were ttc, as we didn't want the "any luck yet?" every time we saw them! Too much pressure.

babydrip - sorry to hear about all your problems. You must feel totally blessed to have your dd after all that . Here is a link to the agnus castus stuff whenever you're ready agnus castus but the best sign of ovulation is def the egg whites IME

Mandy73 · 29/05/2008 10:40

Oooh fincers crossed for Knax.

Morning all,
Sounds like yesterday was pretty crap all round, hope today is better. I'm really shocked & sad to hear how you were treated HM2J.

Right, I'm off. Have decided I'm going with DH on his trip for 'full access' should I get the OPK -face over the w/e..

PS: Did you see Apprentice-Michael was an escort?!? I wouldn't pay for that.

PPS: Joining here has made such a positive difference for me. Thank you all. Haven't brought any of this TCC stuff up with friends because then it becomes 'all about that' if you know what I mean. xx

MrsPuddleduck · 29/05/2008 10:26

Hi CE - I remember that I used to have to make a point of not inhaling as I opened the fridge door at one point as it used to make me gag!

Yes, where are Knax and Mandy? I'm sure they are both about to test and have gone missing! Hope it is good news for them!

babydrip · 29/05/2008 10:25

Oh my goodness! what a busy busy board!!lol!

I have noticed my cycles are shorter...sort of ranging from 26-28 days also not bleeding for as long when actually on my period...regarding ovulation...hummm im now getting confused! thut i had the ewhite but it was early ??? so we errr did the deed...now my question is im only day 16 but my chest is sore and keep having episodes of feeling sick (trying not to get hopes up) my sensiable part of my brain tells me its far to early for symptons my 'maternal side of my brain' says...please please!

ChocolateEclair · 29/05/2008 10:17

morning ladies

pmsl at some of seeming to want me to get piles! grrr at you all

Very nauseous again this morning....it's the smell of the food cooking that does it, although actually eating it is fine! How odd!

Well, Indiana Jones film was a little disappointing tbh, wouldn't recommend it particularly. Sex and the City had huge queues so must be good!

Today DP and I are having a lovely day together and going out for dinner this evening with his family. (CE thinks they will all be looking at my stomach!). Must get packed up today for our weekend camping. Fingers crossed for nice weather in Wales this weekend!

MJIM - very scary midwife appointment! Hope you are ok and not too stressed

Majormoo - LOL at your ds's hair! Deff pg brain!

HM2J - very very expensive month for you. Not sure we would be able to justify £170 ourselves, and agreee, you shouldn't have to!

ceebee - have a fab day shopping. I have only been to Trafford centre twice but it's very good. Hope you buy loads!

willmouse - glad you are feeling a bit better, and decided not to take the tablets. You never know do you?

Is KNAX testing today????? Suspense here!!!
Good Luck!

Heartmum2Jamie · 29/05/2008 09:30

MJIM, that does sounds like an eventful (scary) midwife appt. I am glad that baby is ok. As I have a doppler at home, I thought I had heard heartrate dips, but then figured I imagined them, maybe I didn't.

Ceebee, enjoy shopping!! Sounds like fun.

MrsPuddleduck · 29/05/2008 09:25

Morning all.

Nothing to report here other than have caught DS2's cold so I feel grotty and am still spotting but not as bad. By general agreement I am not taking the tablets (what a waste of £7.10 ).

Ceebee - enjoy the shopping. Trafford centre sounds like a great idea. I have never been but have always wanted to go. It is just a bit too far from us.

Mjob - glad your appointment went OK in the end. Sometimes information is too much information iyswim. Glad he/she is a wriggler though - that is a relief!

Majormoo - sorry you never found your sim card. I am laughing at your DS having pink hair though!

CE - good news on the doctors appointment! It's very exciting first time around - enjoy every minute!

H2MJ - £170 is alot of money - and June sounds expensive! We are just coming out of our most expensive month. Get this for the screwball inlaw's birthdays:-
BIL - 19th May
DNiece - 25th May
DNephew - 26th May
SIL - 27th May

GRRRRRRRRRR!

Perhaps wait and see if the fax has been sent yet. It is possibly worth phoning just before lunch today if the letter was being typed yesterday. It takes about a minute to send a fax after all and you will struggle to chase it up tommorow with it being a Friday and all. Good luck with it! I think it is a disgrace!

ceebee74 · 29/05/2008 08:29

HM2J - for you! It is the very very last thing you need at the moment and really shows the NHS for what it is doesn't it? Really hope you get something sorted!

MJIM - wow, what an eventful afternoon you had - glad everything was good though. Did DS behave himself whilst you were with the midwife?

Willmouse - as MJIM said, it does sound quite promising but don't get your hopes up too high - but I guess a test is the only way you will know

Majormoo - lol at the pink hair - you do have pg head so you are forgiven

CE - I bet it all feels so much more real now you have made a doctors appointment! Hope you are not feeling too rough today.

Hi to everyone else.

Have taken the day off work today as I am going shopping with my friend - mainly for maternity wear for me. The town I live in is absolutely rubbish for maternity wear - there is only DP's and Debenhams that has a matrnity section and they are tiny! So Trafford Centre it is for me today - can't wait! The great thing about being pg is I have to take a full years holiday entitlement before I go on mat leave in October - as our holiday year starts in April, effectively I have to take a full year in 6 months which means I have tons and tons of holiday to cram in - particularly as I work for the NHS and they are generous with their holidays anyway

Right, need to go and put some make-up on - hope you all have a good day and I will catch up tonight.

x
