Hi all - hope you've had a good, if wet, bank holiday weekend?

So still no AF for me...this, as you may remember was after I had two faint positives and then two negatives including a negative from my doctor. Now on CD 40...tested this morning and another faint positive...but then have had very small amount of brown discharge today...could this be implantation spotting, given the fainnt positive, or do you think I'm finally coming on?

Let me know what you think....love a v confused queenie...

Anyway this is month 2 of ttc since mc and af is due sat may 31st so was just looking for someone to chat with as dh thinks i should just forget about it and relax ! i'm sure you guys will hold my hand x x

lostittoday · 26/05/2008 10:18

Well I have been imagining nausea feelings.
However they are not always there and some days I don,t feel pregnant at all.
I know I am looking for symptoms and shouldn't be.
Currently on cd 28 but not sure when af due as I have been irregular for the past few months.
My last cycle was a text book 28 days.
If no af within the next few days maybe I should test, but I am not sure as I have also had one cycle that was 62 days.
I am under the care of a gyno as I also have thyroid problems.
I am waiting for af to arrive as I have to have a day 2 blood test.
Fingers crossed for me that its not needed and I will be pregnant.
I so much want to be pregnant.

beckmo · 26/05/2008 10:03

Oohh...but just one thing...definatly thought I was coming on my period. Bloated, cramps, mad mood, spots. It's only now 5 days later that I'm getting pregnancy symptons. And boots cheap tests are just as good as early detection ones.

beckmo · 26/05/2008 10:01

Oooh..I don't have time today to look through all the posts as only just got back from my holiday this morning. Will have a good read tommorow and catch up. Looks like celebrations are in order for Heron at least (yay!)...and me ...got a BFP on Thursday a day after AF was due.

Keep dashing on here and running off again. Will be back tommorow for a proper catch up...

Heron23 · 24/05/2008 18:45

knax, you're dead right, PMT symptoms are exactly the same as early preg symptoms! urghhhh, so frustrating isnt it? anyway, fingers crossed for you!

OP posts:
Heron23 · 24/05/2008 18:44

Thanks Teuch i still can't believe it. so taking one day at a time !

hi roque, have a good holiday! where are you going to?

welcome knax!

OP posts:
Knax · 24/05/2008 17:28

THANKS ROQUE, oops capitals. Have great hols! Good plan not to bring pg test kit to avoid temptation! I only keep one stick in the house and am determined not to use it until AF actually a few days late... We'll see if I can manage it. have given up trying to symptom spot because pMT seems to have the same symptoms!

roquefortlover · 24/05/2008 15:15

Hello Knax, my period is due on 29/30 may too! I am not sure about this month - dh was away over much of the crucial time and also I did not get a peak on my Clearblue monitor. BUT, having said that, i really don't feel premenstrual at present and normally am a sore-boobed banshee by now! Anyway, as of tomorrow we are off on hols until 1 June and I am not going to take a preg.test with me so will have to wait till I get back to find out!! Getting jitters about missing MN for a week too actually... so, I won't be around much to hand hold but wanted to wish you good luck anyhow!! Don't test too early!!

Teuch · 24/05/2008 09:09

Well I missed that Heron!!!!

congratulations!!!

Knax · 24/05/2008 08:59

Hi everyone, just poking my head round the door
of your chat... Anyone else due AF on 30th May and want to hand hold? Looking at the title of the thread it looks like it is lucky as Heron got a BFP after setting it up! Congratulations to you ladies who recently got a BFP .
Keeping fingers crossed for all the others.

Teuch · 23/05/2008 22:31

Hey queenie. It is less likely that you ovulated again and more likely a delayed ovulation. If you have an idea of how long your luteal phase (ovulation to period) usually is, you should be able to work out when to test again (assuming period doesn't arrive meantime).

I would estimate around 9 days from now, but that is based on average.

I can't explain the faint positives - unless they were purple-lidded ebay ones or were evaporaion lines.

Good luck.

Heron23 · 23/05/2008 22:27

hmmmm, i would say wait and see because there is always a chance as long as AF hasnot got you.

fingers crossed for you

OP posts:
queenie1 · 23/05/2008 21:37

before miscarriages they were always 29/30 days. Since then, has been anything from 25 to 35 days - never this long...

Heron23 · 23/05/2008 21:19

hi queenie, so sorry this is so uncertain for you.

question: how long are your cycles normally?

OP posts:
queenie1 · 23/05/2008 20:01

One more question before I finally concede this month isn't happening for me...

So, as you know, had two faint positives, then two negatives including one from doctor yesterday who told me i definitely was not pregnant. Could have had a chemical PG...

But now day 37 and still no AF. Weird thing was, was that from day 28 to day 32 had LOADS of ECVM. Thought it might have been linked with implantation but seems not. May I have been ovulating again, and might I then have conceived which is stopping my AF from coming?

So confused...want to just accept that this month is over but no AF yet and this nagging question...Thoughts oh wise Mumsnetters?????

Heron23 · 23/05/2008 18:14

hi leaky, i completely agree with what queenie has said about enjoying the 2 you already have. give it time and i am sure you will come to the right decision! in the meantime, summer is coming

Cathers, so sorry the witch got you i can completely recommend pre-seed. we used it. it is expensive but i think it is worth it. good luck!

have a good weekend everyone!
tomorrow promises to be a bright sunny day!

OP posts:
queenie1 · 23/05/2008 13:30

Oh leaky - you don't sound ridiculous at all. Enjoy the two children you do have - they are such a blessing and I so hope to be able to have even one. But it sounds entirely natural and normal to feel this way - wanting but not being completely sure about a third. It can't be an easy decision. I hope you get the outcome that is right for you.

I also ordered a book on conception a few days ago and waiting for it to arrive. Figured it would be a good omen when I thought I was pregnant, but reassuring and a positive step if I found out I wasn't.
x

leaky · 23/05/2008 13:07

My AF has definitely arrived now. To be honest I'm all over the place when it comes to having another child now anyway.Spoke to a few friends this morning & one mum who has recently had a 3rd said doing school run is really hard & she's not enjoying it as much as she thought she would but it's what she wanted. I'm scared that could be me in a years time.
I'd pretty much decided not to try again (I'm very impulsive)then got home to receive a Conception, Pregnancy & Birth book I'd ordered from ebay.Oh it's so hard. My DH says it's much better to waste a few £'s on a book than to make the wrong decision.
I know he's right but i want to be pregnant one last time

Sorry, I know I must sound ridiculous to those of you TTC for 1st child. Just getting it off my chest

queenie1 · 23/05/2008 10:50

Hi Leaky - could be implantation bleeding or even a hormonal bleed that is lighter than normal but comes at the same time as your period...saying that the clot doesn't sound promising. Why don't you wait a couple of days (however hard that is!!). If there's more blood, its probably AF and if none, test again. You could also go to the doctor's. I felt so stupid and neurotic going yesterday and was so upset with the outcome of the visit - i.e. not PG - but feeling better today and now trying to put this month behind me (still no AF though....!!...). So wait a few days and see what happens, or if you can't go to your GP. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Cathers - sorry to here about AF...see you next month!

cathers · 23/05/2008 08:58

Congrats Heron! You must be over the moon - best wishes for next few months.

Not such good news here - Af arrives this morning after being 3 days late. Now on month 9 of ttc, so just ordered some pre-seed as GP won't see me till August and need to feel i am doing something to help.(already have 1DS ag 3) Feeling really low as AF is never late and was starting to believe there was a chance this month. Will be back next month to hold hands again x
