This is such a lucky thread i just have to join!

ds is nearly 1 year & this is our first month of ttc#2. ds1 took ages, 2 CP & 1 m/c @ 6wks, so am open to the fact things might take a while again. got TOTALLY obsessed last time round, opk/ewcm/temping etc etc.

am not b/f & have been on COCP until this cycle. we bd around O time (using opk so assume this was right), but only a couple of times. am now approx 6dpo, tuesday had lots of creamy/yellow/thick cm (sorry tmi!)& slight cramping. today: EWCM (again?), cramping & sore nipples...

2ww is so emotionally draining!

Hi Ladies!! Hope we are all well!

Tink I've got everything crossed for you!

I was going to test this morning...despite everyone saying to wait til 14 DPO, but the world must want me to wait...I was so asleep when I got up that before I knew what I was doing I found my self sat on the loo wasting all my FMU! Oh well...there's always tomorrow!

tink08 · 05/06/2008 10:20

hi all wow another bfp wicked ! congrats !
i'm on day 33 of my cycle so 5 days late now ! tested thismorning and still bfn but had a little brown discharge overnight very unusualfor me the onlytime i was like this was when i conceived in february buti lost that one at 7 weeks so i'm getting bit scared now i always take ages to get bfp so thats not bothering me apart from the fact that i just wanna know ! gonna test againin morning coz its dd1's 5th birthday on saturday and would be a great present to tell her andi wanna know if i can have a glass of mine or two without worrying
what do you guys think ?

heron22 · 04/06/2008 20:41

hi emma, i do the same as you, poking my boobs to see if they are sore. i am now at 6 weeks, and the last few days, the soreness of my boobs have changed. so of course, being ever watchful (paranoid!) i poke them just to make sure

you're not the only one doing this silly act!

heron22 · 04/06/2008 20:39

hi queenie, hi all,

ok here are my symptoms before i tested.

  1. sorry to say, they were just like pre-AF symptoms. in fact, 2 days before AF was due, my boobs got less sore and hard, and i said to DH, i think we lucked out this month, i think AF is coming.
  1. having said that, one thing that was slightly odd, was that i was not ravenous for breakfast, like i usually am. i did think at the time, that it was odd. i still ate my breakfast, but without gusto.
  1. about a week before AF was due, i started having dreams with "worry" as main theme, like i did when pg with DS.
  1. i did get EWCM, which i noticed about 4 days before AF was due. i remember thinking, how weird is this?

so that's about it really. i did not get much twinges or cramps or anything.

i did not test until AF was late. it was not because i developed super restraint! not at all, it was because, after 2 months of ttc, i said to myself, that i cannot live "being on adrenalin" all the time. so i calmed down, BD as much as possible and, sorry to sound like such a cliche, i relaxed. i was not getting hyper or thinking about getting pregnant 24/7.

that is my story. hope it helps you all waiting for AF. i know how frustrating it is waiting...

this is such a lucky thread
i wish you all lots of babydust and your BFP

keep in touch!

chocciedooby · 04/06/2008 20:25

Congratulations Squack! So pleased for you.
Good Luck to everyones else TTC.
Early days in my cycle so not testing. Saying that, I am boob feeling as well emma2617. I'm also speculating about every twinge.

emma2617 · 04/06/2008 15:45

I told you it was going to be hard not to want to test...so instead I am symptom spotting like mad!!!

I have been to the loo 4 times today, where as usually I only go once, I speculate on every little twinge I feel in the vacinity of my womb and I'm even poking my own boobs to see if theyre sore!!

I am hanging my head in shame

queenie1 · 04/06/2008 15:13

Yes, congratulations Squack!!! Brilliant news, and one more success for the thread to encourage those of us still waiting.

Would be good to hear from those of you with recent successes about any pre BFP symptoms. Would give us something to refer to in the hand holding and waiting game...so did you just 'know'? and how did you feel?

Congratulations again Squack and hi to new thread recruits.

heron22 · 04/06/2008 15:12

hi queenie, i think day 1 would be the full on red flow.

good to hear you got a good doc and she listened to you
sometimes that is half the battle!

is she testing you day 3 FSH levels?

OP posts:
queenie1 · 03/06/2008 17:39

Hi all - good luck to anyone soon approaching the AF or hopefully BFP time...

just wanted to post to say two things: firstly, that I love my doctor. She was great today. Really listened to me and my concerns, definitely thinks I had a CP last cycle and is now looking into what help maybe out there for me. Also had some blood tests, testing for hormone levels and iron levels (I'm vegetarian so maybe low) which might also be significant. Just have to wait now to see what these tests reveal. Hopefully that all is okay?

Second thing - she told me to keep trying with DH this month and not to skip a cycle (as if I would anyway!! ). But I have a question for you lot that I forgot to ask her. Do I count CD1 as the first day of brown spotting or two days later when it shifted to full on red blood? Whatdoyoureckon?
