Yes, both times when I think about it now I conceived without using lube.
I really don't know if there's anything in it and it's just a coincidence but I really do think it was the lube the 2nd time stopping it happening.

I also got pregnant first try with my son (didn't use lube back then!) but on my first cycle trying this time we did, as I find sex more sore since I gave birth to him (nearly 3 years ago!!). Got my fist negative! So this cycle we used Preseed lube, as i had read that other lubes can be not very sperm-friendly. I'm on CD7 and so desperate to test😅

I've been reading through allot of the comments here and noticing people are moving across to the next month etc.
I don't know if this will help anyone?
I conceived my 1st child on 1st attempt (5 years ago!) And was expecting the same for my 2nd but that wasn't the case. It took 9 months and by the 5th month I was starting to get a little anxious and upset about it all and of course stressing about it doesn't help!!
But as soon as we stopped using lube (specifically Durex aloe Vera in the lime green bottle) I conceived straight away that month!! I honestly do think the lube was stopping me getting pregnant. I just happen to read that some lubes slow the sperm down and block them from getting to the egg!!
I really hadn't thought much about it and was baffled as to why I wasn't conceiving, we had always used lube and just out of habit I guess, it was routine!
But the month we didn't use it, I got pregnant! So.... just to give some advice if anyone's like me and not even thought about it, try a month without lube or buy a lube safe for baby trying etc (they do exist)

@lauraa39 I believe iron deficiency can affect fertility but fairly easy to rectify with supplements x

Hiya, just a question for anyone else who has experienced similar. We’ve been TTC for a few months now, I’ve been feeling rubbish so I’ve been to the docs and been diagnosed as having iron deficiency anaemia so I’ve been prescribed tablets. Can this affect fertility? From what I’ve seen online it can but I’m wondering how long it’ll take to get levels back up to normal if anyone has experienced the same?

thankfully I’ve been crazy busy (and a bit stressed which won’t help) this last two weeks. Annoyingly I had a work dinner and a wedding the next day where I did drink and also couldn’t test so we only DTD twice on flashy smiley days (but before better than after!)

due on next week and boobs are definitely feeling it so we will see what happens with AF.

Tbh this looks like a positive to me! The evap lines I have seen are usually a thinner line. Tentative congratulations until you test with the FRER! 🤞

Thank you, I’ve ordered some FRER and just tested again with the other clear blue I had with FMU. This line came up within 2 minutes, really hoping this doesn’t mean it can be an evap line!!

I do see it however I don't trust blue dye tests as they are notorious for Evap lines. Try a pink dry test xx

I’m also trying for my 3rd.. currently 8dpo and have some cheap tests arriving tomorrow so will probably test then.. I definitely see something but personally myself hate the blue dye tests and have had previous false positives with them. I like to use FRER but they’re expensive and I’m a serial tester so I’ve got a 25 pack from Amazon to use beforehand.

Can you get any pink dye tests?

While I see a line, Clearblue tests are known for evap lines. I would use a test with pink dye instead to be sure

So I am only 9DPO, but as I’m trying for my 3rd I had a weird feeling this morning that I’m pregnant. This is my 3rd wee of the day, I’m sure I can see a line but don’t know if it’s an evap or my eyes playing tricks on me!! Can anyone see a line? Never used these tests before!

Has anyone ever had ovulation spotting? I have never had spotting with ewcm before until my loss in may. I start getting small amount of ewcm with some blood in a few days before I get a decent amount of ewcm with no blood in which meana I will get my LH peak 2 days later. Just wondering if anyone else ever had spotting in cwcm before?

This was my little pebble 😔 it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy last cycle 💔 we've tried again this month but I am still grieving. I feel silly for grieving because it was so early but I've wanted this for 10 years. AF due 10th Oct so I'll update then.
