TTC after loss part 5

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

Thanks everyone. Just worried about not starting my injections in time if it is actually a bfp. I'll leave it until tonight and if no af I'll start them then

Have you tested this morning??? They say FMU is the best especially for early BFP. It’s not the same for everyone just the majority x

@Ladyinpink1 @moosey89 it does honestly get your hopes up. I am 2dpo driving myself insane. Prior to the loss I wasn’t as obsessed. I definitely hope we are all success stories. My 40th birthday is a few months away and had everyone asking what’s the plan, party, bottomless brunches, girls trips away and I just keep putting things off “just incase” I am pregnant. I know I won’t want a big celebration if I’m pregnant just low key , but if im not I want a full blow out .

@Babydust99 it does look like a bit of an evap. But my thicker line that was positive dried thin so hopefully that’s the same for you. Do another in a few days preferably pink dye test. Fingers crossed for you x

emmatcc1 · 22/09/2024 23:29

@Babydust99 unfortunately it looks like a typical evap line to me

MrsS11 · 22/09/2024 19:39

Ooh that looks pretty positive to me @Babydust99 !! Congratulations! I don't know anything about those tests getting a bad rep though

Babydust99 · 22/09/2024 18:44

I've got a thin blue line on a clearblue ultra early test at 16-17dpo. I need to start injections from a positive test but know that clearblue ultra early have a bad rep. Do you think I should start the injections just incase? Unfortunately they were the only tests I could get hold of today

moosey89 · 22/09/2024 08:13

@Joleyjojo I know that feeling too - I've also got the same feeling this month as I had an HSG and this is the 3rd cycle since, and apparently a lot of women get a BFP within 3 cycles, so this is it for apparently being more fertile after that procedure too. I really hope you do get your bfp but please try not to be too disheartened if you don't. We're all here for you.

@Ladyinpink1 thank you - all 3 of my pregnancies had the exact same early symptoms and I don't have anything this time around unfortunately. I got back from holiday in Cornwall yesterday, had a lovely week with amazing weather. So I have to hand my notice in tomorrow which I really hate! Then depending on my notice I'll start the new role by 21st Oct 😊 x

Ladyinpink1 · 22/09/2024 06:21

Think we will be close in cycles this month @Mummysparrow I am cd7 today, so it will be nice to have some company 🙂 Tell me more about these new supplements you are taking?
I have been giving dh and I a huge amount, but I read on another thread recently that too many is bad for sperm so I have cut ours right down now, not sure whether to just get one supplement that has a little of everything x

Sorry you dont have a good feeling about this cycle @moosey89 . I hope it's wrong and you get good news. Have you started your new job yet? x

I had the same feeling after mine @Joleyjojo and I wished you didn't hear these 'success right away' stories because they do put the pressure on and make you more dissapointed if it doesn't work out right away.
I hope you are one of the success stories. x

Joleyjojo · 22/09/2024 00:43

I am 1dpo 3 weeks 5 days since surgical miscarriage.
I just don’t know how to feel, I have so much hope but know how disappointing it will be if I don’t get that BFP.
you read so many success stories about getting pregnant straight away after miscarriage it gets your hopes up.
hope everyone is ok xxxxxx

moosey89 · 21/09/2024 19:59

9dpo here and I know in how I feel that I'm not pregnant again this month. AF is due on the 25/26th. I'll be on to month 5 since my most recent MMC when that arrives, just want the next week to go quickly now.

Superscientist · 21/09/2024 19:53

I hope people at the work function give you your space @ExTriTrying. I would hope most people would although I have had pms bloat mistaken for pregnancy by someone which was a kick in the gut! She just wanted to be in early with the gossip too.

I'm cd18 and feel a bit funny, it's feels like bubbles in my lower stomach area a bit like i sometimes get before my period. I don't know how to read it. It could be my period coming it's only 6 weeks since my miscarriage

ExTriTrying · 21/09/2024 07:21

Hey, just checking in to say I am reading this thread every few days and rooting for you all! It's hard to know how much to input, but thinking of everyone. Delayed ovulation is so frustrating. But when that blazing positive LH line comes up, it's all worth it!

9+1 today. I had a scan at 7+1 and all looked good, but still very nervous. I have a work event next week, and it's going to be basically impossible to hide the pregnancy (it's no2, the bloat is genuinely unreal, I will have to wear sports gear). Been driving myself a bit mad worrying about it but I think I'm just going to have to go with it and trust that no one will be intrusive enough to ask.

Hope the sickness improves @Ella31 .

Mummysparrow · 20/09/2024 16:09

@Joleyjojo have you had a negative pregnancy test yet just because hcg can show in lh strips.
Amazing otherwise to be ovulating again already. I didn't get a period for 7 weeks after my loss and 10 weeks total for LH peak so just a bit jealous 🤣🤣

Hi I have been LH tracking for the last week all feint 2nd lines. I had a nearly positive last night and one that I would say is even closer today. I would say I had a negative pregnancy test around 6 days ago to a normal person. To a POS addict tilting etc I would say negative 2 days ago stark white. I mean it may not be true ovulation but I am temping too so will see what it says over the next few days. Praying it is and hoping to get a sticky BFP soon too. Sending you lots of positive vibes. Xxx

I am 3 weeks 3 days post D&C and got my very positive LH today we DTD last night and today. Feel very mixed and emotional because it’s a good sign my body is recovering but not sure how I am going to cope if we don’t catch on this cycle. Praying and manifesting everyday xxx

Mummysparrow · 20/09/2024 15:10

Hows everyone? I am back at cd1, well at least I think I am as I am getting light bleeding but not yet full flow. Fingers crossed for a better cycle. I am just hoping I ovulate a little earlier this month as the ovulating after cd21 is getting annoying. Hoping the very expensive vitamins for naître help

Figtree11 · 19/09/2024 22:17

@Superscientist @CurlyWurly1991 thank you, I think it was wishful thinking as any signs of ovulation have gone.

@CurlyWurly1991 it’s so hard when you dream about something & then come to the realisation of reality. I’m sorry you’ve felt sad 😔

I’ve had a weird day. Woke up feeling pretty fed up, and kind of full of rage if I’m honest! Then felt on the brink of tears all morning by letting myself think too deeply. I go on holiday on Saturday which I’m looking forward to. But i went away the same time last year, and the day after we landed home I found out I was pregnant for the first time. So I just keep thinking I’m a year on, I’ve been through a lot, and still got hurdles to go

CurlyWurly1991 · 19/09/2024 21:31

Aw @Figtree11 I hope you get a nice early ovulation in 👌

I woke up feeling hopeful, realising I’d dreamt I was pregnant again and was waiting to find out if it was going to be successful. Made me a bit sad when I realised it had been a dream. And that I’ll never be pregnant again because we have decided to stop 😔 just wanted to share that here because I knew you would all understand.

Superscientist · 19/09/2024 09:25

@Ella31 pregnancy sickness is awful. You definitely can complain! TTC is hard after loses but you are absolutely allowed to complain about the pregnancy. It's just a different type of awful.

Do keep an eye on it and see the GP about antiemetics if it gets too bad.

I hope you ovulate soon @Figtree11 and certainly earlier than day 40!

Figtree11 · 18/09/2024 21:49

@Ella31 thanks for responding so quickly. I really am hoping it’s a good sign, but have this niggling feeling it’s my body playing tricks & will be weeks yet til ovulation! Maybe I will start the ovulation testing sooner than after my holiday.
Ahh thank you, I am sure I will be back on here after my appointment with questions!
I’m glad you’re alright - the sickness is so difficult, forget how bad it is until you’re in the thick of it!

Ella31 · 18/09/2024 21:40

Figtree11 · 18/09/2024 21:21

@Ella31 thank you, I know the appointment isn’t for another 2 months but I feel like it will be here before I know it. There are 8 different things they want to test for, and I’m to then email them the results once they appear on the nhs app. So I guess in the appointment they will let me know of any issues with those.
How are you doing?

Bit of an odd one, I’m CD11 today. Last cycle I ovulated around CD40. But I’ve had ewcm a bit yesterday & today. But negative OPK. So not sure what that is about

It could be a prelude to ovulation, I'd take it as a positive. I usually got egcm about 5 days before positive.

I've had all those tests so ask away if you are unsure of anything.

I'm fine. Dying sick with nausea but I've no right to complain. Hopefully it will ease up soon.

@Ella31 thank you, yes I feel like I need to try and get back to some kind of normal with this next cycle & then take it from there.
One positive is that I’ve had the request thru from Tommys clinic about arranging blood tests ahead of my first appointment with them to test for all sorts

That's fantastic. I found the tests really reassuring and they can do so much if anything crops up, which I'm sure it won't. Delighted you have got your request
