TTC after loss part 5

Ella31 · 04/08/2024 18:18

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

I am 7dpo and trying to stay positive. I have said to myself if we do get a BFP that would be amazing. If AF comes it’s also amazing and my body is regulating after MC. Fingers crossed for everyone xx

@Mummysparrow Thank you, that sounds really good, could you send me the code please? How have you been? A holiday in the sun sounds lovely! x

@Babydust99 Just catching up on the messages, I am so sorry, it's awful getting a false positive... I had one a few months back on a first response and it was awful. How are you feeling now? x

@Figtree11 Sounds like you have a good chance this month being away and nice and relaxed in the sun. Very jealous of all if the sunny holidays 😎 x

I hadn't been tracking and it's been much more relaxing... well as relaxing as ttc can be lol. But I found 2 opk tests left so took one yesterday (when I would normally get my positive opk and ovulate) but it was negative and took the other today, also negative. I have stopped most of my supplements, so maybe that big change has messed up ovulation. Or maybe I ovulated even earlier like on cd11.
We have an event tonight, getting hair and makeup, all dressed up and staying over in the hotel after so that will be nice for a change.

How is everyone else getting on? x

I'm doing ok. Going to give this month our best shot and then the testing will be a few days after af is due so at least we'll know what the story is a week after that

Thanks! I figured it was worth wasting a pack of cheap tests rather than forking out on a frer! I can pop it out my mind for a few days and be patient! I probably would have paid if I was more optimistic about our chances this month. We are reliant on early ovulation as we were too knackered later in the week!

Figtree11 · 27/09/2024 09:40

@Mummysparrow the weather has been bliss. Hot & sunny everyday luckily for us! Hope you have an amazing time in Turkey.

@Superscientist i’m sorry it was negative, but sounds like it was too early to test, so hopefully better news on Monday

Mummysparrow · 27/09/2024 09:38

@Superscientist 😂 love it. I sometimes use cheapie ones earlier then 10dpo if I have the itch to test (I use ones from Amazon) but I generally I know I won't get a Positive on cheapies before 11dpo so i may use a FRER before then

Mummysparrow · 27/09/2024 09:35

@Figtree11 oh lovely. I hope you have avoided the bad weather which some of Greece has had. I am going to Turkey. I am sharing the room with my daughter so not going to have much chance to DTD whilst away.

Superscientist · 27/09/2024 09:29

@Mummysparrow I'm very much an all or nothing person. I'd be testing hourly! 😂

I did take a wander to the shops and got a test. Only cheap supermarket own ones so I'm probably too early to test with them. It was negative I'll be waiting for Monday before using the other one.

I hope the timing gods are smiling down on you both. Next month will be a bit tight for us as my partner is away with work.

Figtree11 · 27/09/2024 08:13

@Mummysparrow I’m in Greece. Where are you going to? I hope ovulation comes soon. I’ve been the opposite, hoping ovulation has happened while I’m away 😆

Mummysparrow · 27/09/2024 07:39

Where are you on holiday @Figtree11 ? I am off on Holiday in a weeks time and I can't wait.
I am cd7 so I am hoping ovulation comes next week before I go on holiday but with how it has been I am not pinning my luck on it.
Fingers crossed for you @Superscientist
I am impressed at those who manage to wait to test. The longest I hold out to is 9dpo 😂

Figtree11 · 27/09/2024 06:24

@Superscientist i’ve everything crossed for you. Let us know how you get on.

I’m on holiday until Saturday. Then it’s a year to the day since I found out I was pregnant for the first time. Sometimes struggle to think why is it that my life has turned out like this

Superscientist · 26/09/2024 19:46

I estimate that I'm 9-13dpo. I had EWCM on cd 10 and 11. Day 13 is the estimate for ovulation based on lmp and my average cycle length. My period is due Monday. I'm trying to hold out until the weekend. It will probably the next time I'm at the shops anyway.

Fingers crossed the EWCM is a sign. Try not to over think things. How long is left of your holiday?

Figtree11 · 26/09/2024 17:51

@Superscientist how many DPO do you think you are? Sounds like lots of positive signs

Thank you - I did have what I think was ewcm for like a week, but haven’t been ovulation testing while away so don’t know if it is anything

Superscientist · 26/09/2024 17:19

CD23 here, trying to stay distracted. My boobs are tingly, I do wonder if I ovulated early. I don't track it but I would have to have ovulated early to have conceived. I've lost half a kilo too which happened in previous pregnancies. I was going to buy a test yesterday but the car broke down. I don't want to test to early and obsess about barely visible lines!

I'm glad you are enjoying your holiday, it's understandable that it's still on your mind. I hope you feel signs of ovulation soon x

Figtree11 · 26/09/2024 16:54

How is everyone?

I’m on holiday which has really helped with the TTC blues, although it’s never far from my mind like usual.
CD19 and don’t think I have ovulated yet.

Figtree11 · 24/09/2024 19:09

I’m sorry @Babydust99 I hope you get a plan of action going forwards after the testing

moosey89 · 24/09/2024 18:50

@Babydust99 we're in a similar boat. It sucks doesn't it. All my tests are completely normal too. If we don't conceive again by July (or if we have another loss) I think I'm done TTC and we're going down the adoption pathway. It's been 7 years (actively trying for over 4) and 3 MMCs, tons of tests, and I'm just exhausted.

Superscientist · 24/09/2024 12:50

Hopefully the testing will give you some answers. Even when a thing becomes your normal it can still occasionally blindside you, just because it's something that happens more frequently it doesn't always make things easier. There's no right or wrong way to feel or act. If you feel ok that's good but it's ok if you're not or something in between or moving between both situations.

Babydust99 · 24/09/2024 10:57

Thanks everyone. I'm used to it now after 4 losses and over 2 years ttc. We are getting fertility testing done next month so we at least know if there is something more than sticky blood going on

Superscientist · 24/09/2024 10:31

I'm cd21 and getting inklings that I might have conceived. My breasts are tingling and I've lost a bit of weight (which I have done with my previous pregnancies). I had EWCM on days 10 & 11. I had said I wouldn't test until after my missed period. I did 5 days after with the previous ones not intentionally though. It feels like a long wait but don't want to stress about barely visible lines! It feels like it might be a long week!

Superscientist · 24/09/2024 08:02

Oh I'm sorry @Babydust99. Squishy cuddles. Take care of yourself x

Joleyjojo · 23/09/2024 20:44

Babydust99 · 23/09/2024 20:43

Thanks everyone. Af has showed up this afternoon, 3 days late 🥴

Sorry to read this. Hope your ok x

Babydust99 · 23/09/2024 20:43

Mummysparrow · 23/09/2024 20:05

Congratulations @Babydust99 it very much looks positive to me

@Ladyinpink1 I am using naître supplements. The vitamins are liposomes and they are easier for the body to absorb. The reviews are amazing so thought it was worth a try. Very pricey but if it helps in a month or two its worth it. I got a discount on it as well. I believe I was sent another discount code for 20% off of anyone wanted it.

Superscientist · 23/09/2024 11:29

Babydust99 · 23/09/2024 07:19

Thanks everyone. Just worried about not starting my injections in time if it is actually a bfp. I'll leave it until tonight and if no af I'll start them then

Could you contact the person prescribing the injections for advice?
They will have an idea on balancing the risk of not staying them early enough Vs potentially having them unnecessarily if your start taking them and you get your period
