TTC after loss part 5

Ella31 · 04/08/2024 18:18

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

I'm a bit worried. My progesterone blood test from Friday came back low. Waiting on a call from the doctor

Hopefully they can get you a prescription asap. If you're not bleeding then it's still high enough at the moment xx

Is this your first ovulation since your loss. What were you before it? Definitely no need to panic. My cycles were very off after my losses.

I’m not sure, I may have ovulated before my period but don’t know as I wasn’t looking out for any signs as I wasn’t allowed to TTC.

Yeah after my last loss it took a while. I just hate not knowing what a normal cycle for me would look like. As I was on the pill for 14 years, and since coming off last summer I’ve been pregnant twice so had no chance to find out what my normal is. Or even if I have a normal or if there is anything underlying

@Ella31 no, no signs of ovulation. CD29 today. Last time I ovulated around CD38, so I know I’ll be disappointed if it doesn’t happen by then.
Thats a lovely way to tell your husband

Oh my god @Ella31 that is terrific news!

Sorry for being late to the party, I had a busy weekend and didn't come on here, but I was actually thinking about you and wondering how you were. What a great surprise! I have everything crossed this one is a sticky one!

I wouldn't worry about the line, I'm not sure it's really a good tool as it's not quantitative. And you're only 10 dpo! Maybe consider doing a hcg progression test if you really need the reassurance? I'm thinking about doing it myself as I feel quite anxious and my line although dark doesn't really seem to be progressing much anymore... but I'm 20 dpo so not sure if it should keep progressing anyway.

Keep us updated please!

If you've a good dark line at 20dpo, that's all you need. Yeah I'm half thinking of the hcg test but don't want to terrify myself either. It's so scary isn't it.

I told DH yesterday. I dressed the dogs in little bandanas that said I'm going to be a big sister soon. He burst into tears 🥹😂

That's lovely 🥰 8 weeks is a good time for a scan. Don't worry, my lines were always "slow growers" strength wise ❤️ it's darker which is all you're looking for really xx

Onthedouble123 · 12/08/2024 10:26

@Ella31 that sounds amazing and so cute! 🥰 Xx

@Ella31 my line at 10dpo was so faint that's when I first found out. The next day fmu it was more obvious but it wasn't strong til after my period was due.

@Figtree11 due on Friday / Saturday

@Ella31 I know I'm not out until AF arrives but the cycle is now matching last month although I had the weird pink stuff and weird creamy gloomy stuff last night. I'm.just not going to get my hopes up. Good that you've booked a scan. Don't worry too much over line progression, especially daily. Do them every other day although this rainbow baby is going to be a sticky one. I have everything crossed for you. Xxxx

Ella31 · 12/08/2024 08:56

@Figtree11 have you normally ovulation symptoms?

@DonnaWhat keep the faith. I genuinely had given up as of this month

Morning ladies, I've booked my first scan. Will be scanned at 8 weeks but I'm 10dpo today and feel like the line is still feint. It's definitely a bit darker but still feint. I hate how worry has replaced joy

Figtree11 · 12/08/2024 08:21

Sorry to hear that @DonnaWhat When is AF due?

BFN for me, but I wasn’t expecting anything else as I really don’t think I have ovulated at all yet. Got a heavy feeling in my lower abdomen the past 2 days or so which is just making me think something is wrong.

DonnaWhat · 12/08/2024 08:13

Morning Ladies, think I'm out this month. Spotting pink this morning 9dpo. Did exactly the same last month and spotted right upto period.🙄

Helloo can I please join? I've just finished my first period after a loss at 19 weeks which was essentially a MMC although we'd had 3 normal scans before then. We haven't had our debrief but I'm 37 so don't feel I have time to waste. We have 3 other DC ages 9, 6 and 2 but have always wanted a big family. Congratulations to everyone who's had their bfps this month already ☺️

Welcome. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope this thread brings you luck.

I'm 37 in December and had a miscarriage this week at 10 weeks so similar situation to yourself. My daughter has just turned 4. The loom of time is there in the background but I'm trying not to give it too much thought! My nan had a a surprise number 5 at 45 so I know there's time.

My obestrician when I went for my twins pm told me he's seeing mainly women in early 40's. You have loads of time. Keep hoping.

@Ella31 I never tested on weeks indicator until after my period would be due. I’m sure in a few days it will show on there

Welcome to all the new ladies. This has seemed a lucky thread so far with quite a few BFPs. Hoping it happens for the rest of us soon

Gracie1825 · 11/08/2024 18:53

What day did you ladies get your digital. That was an early cb digital, the weeks one isn't positive yet, so im a little nervous.

My weeks one was 10DPO. I had a very feint line at 9DPO on easy at home ones, so feint you couldn't even pick it up on a camera. I thought I was loosing my mind. Got my 3+ weeks on digital today!
