TTC after loss part 5

Ella31 · 04/08/2024 18:18

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

Thanks @Figtree11 a couple of us are the last women standing on another thread which has filled up so thought I’d hop over! I’m not sure exactly what cycle day I even am any more, I have PCOS and had settled into a fairly regular 6 week cycle but this one has gone bananas, I’m at about week 8 if I count from my last true period but I had about 3 weeks of spotting in the middle. I think I might have ovulated this weekend but really hard to tell. I am feeling surprisingly ok about it though. We’ve been trying over a year now so hoping this thread brings some much needed luck!

Figtree11 · 15/08/2024 07:00

@Mummysparrow i feel similar, cd32 for me and not had any signs of ovulation yet.
I don’t have the app, I just stay logged in on my phone on safari & just refresh on here to see notifications

Mummysparrow · 14/08/2024 21:48

How is everyone? I am losing my mind here as I am cycle day 35 and quite frankly not sure when my period is coming after a week long LH surge. Done a FRER today and I am pretty sure I have an indent line and not the beginning of a positive 😭 I really think I need to get the mums net app as I rely at the moment on email notifications to say there are messages and by that point I am already behind and then I forget to respond

Figtree11 · 14/08/2024 21:46

You’re more than welcome @HerbaceousPerennial we have been getting a bit thin on the ground in this group after a run of BFPs recently

Nic2908 · 14/08/2024 21:41

@Ncl31 re you an nhs ward manager by any chance at all? If you are welcome to the club… it can be an utter nightmare.

HerbaceousPerennial · 14/08/2024 21:35

Hi everyone, mind if I join? I’m TTC number 2, two MMC, both diagnosed around the 11 week mark. My last loss was April.

Figtree11 · 14/08/2024 20:26

@Ncl31 work stress is so hard, when you already have a lot going on in your personal life. I’m lucky in that work for me has been my saviour really. Which is mad to think as it’s just work, but I am mostly able to put all this to one side & escape it while I’m busy at work.
Thank you, I hope you get your BFP soon too

@Ncl31 i’m sorry, it’s so difficult. Upcoming due dates are horrible. My due date was in June. And I have another due date coming up in November and I really want to be pregnant by then, and far enough alone that I feel more confident it will work out ok.
I’m also feeling quite low, you aren’t alone xxx

I’m so sorry, it’s really difficult isn’t it.
Im currently on a secondment as department manager and on Friday I heard that some of the team were unhappy with some of my choices, when I got him I completely lost the plot and just cried for almost the full weekend.
Ive since had a chat with them and it turns out they’re unhappy but didn’t realise that the decisions had been made by higher management and I was simply passing the information on. I did tell them this at the time but people don’t listen when they’re being told something they don’t like. I feel much better this week but then this potential AF impending has knocked me again today.

i hope you get your BFP very soon

@Ncl31 cd31 for me & no sign of ovulation either. Feeling pretty deflated

I’ve started with quite a bit of cramping tonight, so expect AF will arrive during the night.
explains why I had a total emotional breakdown and feeling of impending doom last night and didn’t sleep :(
im so fed up. I was hoping I would be pregnant again by my due date next week

Ncl31 · 14/08/2024 15:55

So I’m cd28, no confirmed ovulation yet although my bbt has been raised for the last 7 days but my app still says awaiting ovulation.
I’ve just been to the bathroom and when I wiped I got this brown watery discharge…. Put a panty liner on and been for a 4 mile walk, came home and nothing on the liner, but some brown water discharge on the paper again.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Usually when AF arrives it hits straight with bright red and lots of it, I’ve read online it could be old blood making its way out. I had very mild cramp almost hardly noticeable this morning but nothing since

@LucyCL That's a really nice practice, I did it last night and def helped. To be honest breathing exercises have been suggested by several people (pelvic floor physio, and physio!) over the past year, I really should do them.

I've been using the Easy at Home cheap strips, my ovulation kit came with 20 of them, so I have loads and I can see a bit of progression in the line, I think, it certainly comes up quicker. It's hard to see much when they're dried, but I can take pics in the app and see a clear increase. Only 11DPO.. which is insane as it's been 2 days since the first positive test, but feels like weeks!

Ah yes ! I have been feeling super super anxious since last Friday (10 dpo) and I knew people who just got their BFPs would be like me too. So, that is why I decided to share this here!❤️ Fingers crossed for the line progression!

@NiNic2908 that's my focus ATM too (and the 3 kids at home for the holidays too ☺️) I'm working through a miscarriage devotional, starting couch 2 5k again (pregnancy stopped me last time) and I'm planning to go back to slimming world as carrying extra baby weight is breaking my heart. @EmTTC2 I can definitely see it! Eek!

I ended up testing tonight. It was only a 45 minute hold, but I've convinced myself I can see something! Husband can't see anything. It's been 7 weeks since my loss (i tested negative after it), so hoping that this comes to something x

I think u can see some sort of shadow. Are you going to test again in the morning?

moosey89 · 13/08/2024 22:10

@CadoAvo we're very close together in our cycle this month - I should be ovulating Thur or Fri. X

EmTTC2 · 13/08/2024 22:07

Onthedouble123 · 13/08/2024 19:07

@EmTTC2 sounds promising! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 How long will you be able to hang on til testing? Xx

It’s just so hard to keep the faith isn’t it. It’s so cruel when we have already been through so much. I definitely need to look after myself more. Maybe I should make that my focus over being pregnant, then maybe the puzzle pieces will fit together

Onthedouble123 · 13/08/2024 20:57

@Nic2908 my experience probably contradicts you but I hadn't had a sniff of a positive since our loss in November until a BFP early June the first month of taking 600mg coq10.
I honestly think we can drive ourselves insane working out the best tactics and approach. In the end though I guess we have no idea what "works" and what doesn't. We just have to keep trying til that one month where the stars align and our bodies do their thing!
I think you just have to do what you feel is best and trust you will get there! Xx

All three of my previous pregnancies I’ve been lucky enough to fall pregnant our very first month. First resulted in DS now three, 2nd resulted in a second trimester loss for my beautiful daughter and the third a loss at 12 weeks. I’ve just done my second month and I’m not pregnant. And I know that’s nothing at all but I’m just frustrated. The only think I’ve done differently is started taking coq10 and omega 3. So you think I should just go back to basics and just take a prenatal?

My experience might help. I fell month 1, month 3, and month 1 again. First two early losses. My third loss - third trimester twin loss at birth.

After my sons death it's taken me 8 months to get my bfp this month. I finally realised this month that my losses obviously wreaked havoc on my body particularly when I lost my sons. What I did differently this month was...I lived a little. Exercise, healthy food, and I came off all prenatal bar a natural form of folic acid and vit d. It will happen. It isn't a science that because you conceive first go, you always will. If that was the case, I would have. I really believe my mind and body put a stop on me for the past 8 months because of the physical and mental grief. You lost a baby in trimester 2, your daughter and another loss after. Your body is learning to cope and recover.

It will happen for you. Not "if" but "when"
