TTC after loss part 5

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

Hi everyone I'd love to join if that's OK. We've been ttc since June 2022 and I received a diagnosis of APS in June this year after 4 early losses. I haven't had a bfp in a year now so feel ready to give up. Just feel like we are doing something wrong because we are eating healthier now and taking better supplements than we were before and now we don't seem to be able to get a bfp at all

MrsS11 · 24/08/2024 14:03

I'm so sorry @EmTTC2 hope you are being well taken care of x

moosey89 · 24/08/2024 13:21

Dammit why did I even bother testing, I always tell everyone else not to test early yet here I am being the biggest hypocrite!! 9dpo, bfn. Feeling so awful about it all this month, and feeling extra pressure as there's all that colloquial evidence of women conceiving in the 3 cycles following an HSG/hycosy, and this is my second so only one more of that time frame and I know already it's just not going to happen like that for me, I'm not that lucky 😓

Hi everyone. Unfortunately, I've had my second loss in 7 weeks. Gp phoned. She looked at all the charts, blood results, positive tests that I sent her. She thinks it looks like a low progesterone issue. She was lovely & said she'd put in an urgent referral to gynaecology for their advice. She said that if I fall pregnant then she might be able to issue progesterone under their advice if they ok it. She said they may not see me themselves after 2 losses this year as She thinks the threshold may be 3, but she's going to get back to me on what they say & we'll take it from there x

The pain of a loss after another one... 😔 I am sorry it happened to you.
I had an early loss then I had a CP the next cycle. I think it was very likely to be caused by low progesterone because my body was still recovering from the 1st MC. There is no way to find out the cause.
If you are not qualified to get progesterone, then there is a way to boost progesterone naturally. I took vitamin E, B6, C, Selenium and Beetroot extract. Also I ate 3 brazil nuts every day for the whole luteal phase. x

Hi Guys, just checking in. I stepped back for a little while to try and free the mind. I think I’m just tipping onto a positive LH so should be ovulating at any point. Congratulations to the people who have had the positives. I’m also sending my heart to the ones who have lost. No matter which group you’re falling into trying, not trying, loss, pregnancy. Please please be kind to yourselves. Xx

🥰

It sounds like your GP is on your side. I hope you get a plan for next time
My epu offer have offered me progesterone after 1 miscarriage so hopefully you can get it after 2

Be gentle with yourself x

Thank you. It's just the not knowing at the moment. If she comes back to me soon & says she'll give me it then I'll relax a bit x

How is everyone getting on?
No news from me. Coming up to 6 weeks since last period & no sign of anything.
Coming up to a year since I got pregnant for the first time which makes me feel sad

5dpo here, nothing to report, trying not to wish time away so I can test on Tuesday 😂 got a packed long weekend planned so that should keep my mind off it. My bestie (who lives abroad) will also been home on Tuesday for a family funeral that I'll attend on Thursday. It's a sad reason to see her but I'm looking forward to seeing her and would be nice to have some good news to share 🤞🏼

I also get pangs of sadness too, there's no getting away from it sometimes but I soldier on.

I'm sorry you are having a tricky time. @Figtree11
Memories and dates can be hard. It's ok to be sad. You are allowed to not be glass half full and optimistic all the time. If you need a little time to sit with the feelings that's ok but do reach out for support. Much love 💞

I'm ok. I've started telling a few people about the miscarriage it feels like a positive step. I'm wondering if I ovulated earlier this week as I possibly had some egg white like discharge but not sure what's miscarriage related and what's normal. I hoping that if it was, I get my period quite quickly and we can start again.

I'm feeling a bit of guilt with neglecting friends so I'm trying to use some energy reconnecting with people. One tried to call just I went into my pilates class the other week. I meant to check in with him but I started miscarrying the following day so it went out of my mind. I've been joining some dots together and I think he might have quit his job so I'm trying to get a lunch time call with him later. I need to catch up with another friend who's dad is dying but I think that will be next week now as I'm not sure I have the spoons to cope with that.

Egg white discharge sounds like ovulation, hopefully AF isn't too far away for you.

@moosey89 its hard - the only way I cope is keeping busy. I’m working from home today, but not overly busy so my thoughts are taken over with loss & TTC. I hope you have a nice weekend which will involve sampling some of that cake!

@HerbaceousPerennial i’m sorry that you are in this limbo land too with periods. I hope it isn’t long until it arrives again. The anniversary dates are tough - I was an anxious mess leading up to the due date anniversary. Then was ok. Now I’m thinking about when I first get pregnant. Then a few months after that it will be my second loss due date. It’s just relentless! I’m just tired of it all, just so desperate to be pregnant again

HerbaceousPerennial · 23/08/2024 11:49

@Figtree11 I am with you. My last proper period was mid June, first one since miscarriage which means I’ve managed one period in the 4 months since my miscarriage. Not good. I’ve just passed my pregnancy anniversary - it’s a bit better out the other side if that’s any comfort. Hope you are doing a little better today.

@moosey89 also wishing my life away - had lots of pregnancy symptoms last ten days but a big fat nothing on any of the 4 tests I did (oops) so I am hoping they were all triggered by progesterone/PMS and I’ll be getting my period soon. Touch wood I am feeling quite calm and accepting about things at the moment, although wishing I could reclaim a bit more headspace from pregnancy thoughts.

@Superscientist glad you are reconnecting with friends but please don’t feel guilty! You have been through a lot. I’ve found it easier to tell people about my miscarriages as time goes on. Hope you have something nice planned in for the weekend

@ApplesNest cautious congratulations! Hope you are doing ok

moosey89 · 23/08/2024 11:47

@Figtree11 yup totally understand, I'm exactly the same! This weekend is down time for me (recovering from this cold!). Monday I'm doing a test run for my dad's wedding cake as I'm baking that for his wedding in early September. Then Thurs I'm off to see my best friend. I know I have good things in life too, but currently it's hard to focus on that. Hope you have a lovely time away x

Figtree11 · 23/08/2024 10:32

@moosey89 i totally get that, I’m always wishing my life away while trying to remind myself I have a lot of other things to be thankful for & that I need to try enjoy life. Easier said than done! Bank holiday weekend though soon, and I’m going away for a few days which will hopefully help

@Superscientist thank you, I feel like on the whole I am having better days than bad days, but it just consumes my mind constantly.
I found talking to people about my MC has helped massively, people are so supportive, and I’ve seen how common it can be. I hope your period arrives soon - every day feels like a week while waiting for it to arrive!

@Figtree11 8dpo here and not feeling it this month. Just want this cycle to be over so we can try again. Whilst simultaneously being fed up of wishing my life away 🙈

ApplesNest · 22/08/2024 09:18

It might be a BFP digital test confirmed I’m pregnant and FRER test did too. It’s 11 months since we lost our son so maybe I’m feeling bittersweet about it considering his birthday/anniversary is fast approaching. I never thought we’d get here if I’m honest. We TTC earlier this year but was under intense stress, grief and relentless news of other pregnancies after relentless bfn’s. I think stepping away has helped and both DP and I are in a better emotional state, as well as physical.

Thank you @DonnaWhat @Ncl31 @MrsS11 for the early congrats. Maybe I’m being so protective of my emotions by not celebrating yet as I’m still cautiously moving ahead until we get a confirmation through bloods and scan.

I won’t post tests as I know how triggering they can be. Hoping there are more BFP’s to come and sending hugs to all.

Congrats @ApplesNest just logging in now.
