TTC after loss part 5

Just continuing our old thread. I've added anyone who has asked to stay on here. As always, anyone who is trying after a loss is welcome to join and those who have been lucky since are welcome to encourage those who are still waiting for their rainbow (if you want to stay of course )

Also for the next thread, I'm going to let someone else take over creating the new one if people don't mind. I've a lot on at the moment with tests and I'm back to work in the next few weeks after my bereavement leave with my boys. So if anyone would like to take the mantle, feel free.

Im 2dpo today and have another ultrasound on Wednesday to see if follicle has burst followed by pdg blood test.

@CadoAvo Best of luck 🤞

@HerbaceousPerennial Congratulations !!!

@Joleyjojo I’m very sorry to hear this, it is a horrible experience to go through. I’m 38 and had two MMCs this year one after the other - first 6.5 then 8.5 weeks. It is so cruel that your symptoms keep going. I couldn’t believe it the second time - but was already sobbing by the time they started the scan. It is very traumatic.

in terms of trying again I did read a lot of advice and the consensus was to wait until you get a negative test. There is some evidence that conceiving in the three months after miscarriage reduces the chance of a second miscarriage. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me but I think many people will successfully conceive straight after. The emotional toll takes time, though.

We decided to stop TTC after the second miscarriage. I had a wobble recently and wanted to try again but DH was quite firm that he couldn’t see me go through another miscarriage after two EPRCs in a few months. It was a bit of a relief to have a hard no, because it stopped me wondering and means I can start to move on. We have recently passed the due date for the first miscarriage and the second one is November. It took months for the emotional toll to hit me - perhaps I’m still waiting for the full throttle of it. Advancing age pressures make it harder, because you feel that each month is more urgent. I wish you the very best and hope your recovery goes well xx

It's so much harder to see on the picture but I'm sure I can see something in the first one!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thank you, oh I hope so.
Earlier on today I also had quite a bit of faint yellow tinged cm. I haven't had that since my first pregnancy so really hoping it's a good sign.

Opinions please? My eyes are going square and pretty sure it's negative but can't help thinking my eyes are making me see things, maybe because I want to see it so bad.

@Figtree11 thank you

@ncl31 thannks, interesting you thought you could see something at first. I'm the same, I think I see something then it disappears.

Will see how the next few days go.

Figtree11 · 28/08/2024 12:34

I’m not sure I see anything @CadoAvo, sorry. It could still be too early though

I initially thought I could see something but again it could be my eyes causing me to see things.
test again in a few days

Af arrived a day early for me today. On to the next cycle. I have an x-ray this afternoon so it's wierdy nice that it's a day early so I know there's no risk.

This cycle my partner has his semen analysis for our fertility clinic referral, that's the last test so hopefully we won't have to wait too long to know when our appointment will be with the fertility nurse. We should also get the results of the genetic blood test we both had done. So at least things are happening this cycle. It's also my dad's wedding in 10 days, and we go to Cornwall with my partner's family as well for a week's break, first holiday for a long while x

CadoAvo · 28/08/2024 09:37

10dpo....have taken 2 tests this morning and pretty sure they are bfn. But on the frer, I think I can see the faintest second line but can't pick it up on camera and think my eyes could just be playing tricks on me.

I’m doing okay I think, possibly ovulating soon - had a small rise on my OPK this evening so hopefully I will.
I told white lie to my DH that I wasn’t doing OPKs this month to release the pressure. he seems to have engaged in BD more this cycle.

I actually did the same last month. I've every finger and toe crossed @Ncl31

@CadoAvo i hope it’s just early for you yet

@LucyCL hope you are ok. The anniversaries are the worst. The date of me first getting pregnant is approaching next month, and if I’m not pregnant by then I know I’ll feel down

I’ve not been testing for ovulation due to stupidly long cycle, but I’ve had some ewcm the past couple of days, and tender nipples today?! So I hope it means I’m ovulating, or at least my body is trying to ovulate

Thank you for asking. I really appreciate when someone asks how I am nowadays.❤ I am glad to be here because I can find the kind of support I need. I am trying to be positive and grateful. I used preseed during my fertile window then I stayed in bed for 15 mins every time after sex. I also took 75 g low dose baby aspirin from 1 DPO because I read that it could increase the chance of conceiving.
I wish you good luck for this cycle!!💝
@CadoAvo The earliest day was 10 dpo when I got a positive. So, only one day to go! : )

9dpo and bfn ☹️🙄

Ladyinpink1 · 26/08/2024 21:27

@Babydust99 sorry you are going onto cycle 25, the only tips I have is what I am on for hormones... ubiquinol and vitex (well along with a million other vitamins lol), maybe others will know of more.
I am also on cycle 14 and still no bfp (2 losses the year before) it's tough but I have seen a few ladies that were ttc along with me for the same amount of time get their bfp over the last month or so, so I am hopeful. x

I'm with you on the tests @moosey89 I was kind of hoping for an issue with mine so there was something I could fix x

Thank you so much @HerbaceousPerennial I really hope to be joining you soon and I wish you all the best... I have a good feeling about it for you this time xx

Sorry you had your first day back... the first is always the worst, hopefully tomorrow might be a little easier @Ella31 x

Hi @Joleyjojo I'm really sorry for your loss, it's so hard when you have had a scan showing things are good and get your hopes up x

Thanks. I'm taking proceive max so I'll check which of those are in it and see if I need to add them. I've found since taking proceive max that I ovulate earlier which I thought was a bit strange but probably not something to be worried about

LucyCL · 26/08/2024 23:02

Today and tomorrow are the dates of my 1st MC (6 weeks and 1 day) 😢and it is really not fun to be reminded of the MC anniversary. I lost my appetite 3 days ago and I felt so uncertain about my body. I still feel like I am a part of this group. So, I still come here to see how everyone is doing. I really hope things will get better for us.

Hi I hope you don’t mind me joining,

I am 39 close to 40. I had CP in May, I became pregnant straight after. I found out Saturday that we have lost the baby at 9 weeks, I went for a private scan at 9+3. I had seen the heartbeat at 6+1 and 7+1 so this was a shock no pain or bleeding and PG symptoms still now. I am booked for a D&C in a weeks time. I am absolutely broken and struggling to function. But I am so conscious of my age and TTC. Has anyone TTC after the bleeding has stopped after the D&C? X

After reading your comment, I am now having tears in my eyes. I am so sorry you have to go through this again... 😭I really really feel for you and it makes me sad to know this happened to you. I will be here if you need me.

Im so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how difficult it is still feeling the symptoms too.
I hope you get sorted soon and able to start TTC again as soon as you’re emotionally able.

Good. I'm so tired though. The evenings im very fatigued and nausea has started a little bit. I'll take every symptom going though. Happy to be feeling crap. Hope you are good @ThelastRolo20

So sorry I just returned to work after losing my boys so I'm wrecked. Yes I'm based in Ireland so the gp didn't blink giving it to me , I've heard the UK can be harder to get it? Maybe I'm wrong but if your progesterone is low, I can't see why they wouldn't.

Morning all, sorry for everyone going through loss again and experiencing BFN. Having got a BFN on Tuesday I thought I was out but tested again yesterday and it’s positive. Slightly in shock. Still very early days and only too aware a BFP doesn’t equal a baby but feel cautiously excited at the moment. Hopefully third time lucky.

A tentative congratulations
