Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

You lot are hard to keep up with! Sorry, I've been away with work and haven't been able to get online much at all apart from boring work emails! Miranda - congrats - that's great news.

No news here - day 13 today but given last month's longer cycle, I'm convinced I must have O'd late. Actually seeing DP this weekend so will make the most of our time together! This is the part where he doesn't complain unlike the part at the end of the cycle where I'm a testing lunatic.

A good friend of mine had a baby on Monday. She was 3 weeks early, only weighed in at 4lbs2ozs. Please keep them in your thoughts as she's in neo-natal care. Things are improving though which is good. They also have a SN 2 year old who, they recently found out, will probably only live until he's 3-4 owing to a genetic condition. It's very sad, but they're amazing people and cope remarkably well.

Wishing everyone lots of luck who may be testing soon ...

Hulababy · 26/01/2005 19:46

Oh rudy - I ill keep practising the telling off bit anyway just in case Even if not on here - DH and DD will do as practise subjects

marinda · 26/01/2005 19:40

Thanks for advice Munzie and Hula - will inform my fiend and tell her to test. Feel a right fool as so convinced I WASN'T PG that I am lost for words- joined the due sept thread as think DD is 29th of month. Will pop back take care !!!! Hula here is some babydust for winning the pact out of the 3 of us.

Hulababy - I feel properly told off - are you sure you don't want to carry on teaching . I don't even feel vaguely pg so NO IDEA why I even tested. Will try and wait until Saturday now as was quite depressing to get a BFN. How are you holding out? How many dpo are you?

RudyDudy · 26/01/2005 19:31

Marinda - fantastic news!!!! Congratulations!! Do keep popping in to see us and definitely keep showering the babydust around!

Hulababy · 26/01/2005 19:26

Is her temp still abouve her cover line? Temp can drop a bit - but generally not below the cover line if pg. Although it can drop and then rise again - implantation time I think.

If her AF is so late, could she not test?

munnzieb · 26/01/2005 19:18

I thought that was the case Marinda, your temps stayed high at leaast, has she tried to test? would be nice if you're btoh PG together.

marinda · 26/01/2005 19:16

Soory to bug people but I am seeking despaerate advice for a friend of mine TTC. She measures her temp each day and she says that after OV if you are pg the temp stays high ! Does anyone know if this is true ?

Her temps have fallen but only by a bit - but her AF is several days late . Hope someone can help. Thanks ladies.

Hulababy · 26/01/2005 19:12

HI ALL,

Anyway-

Hulababy · 26/01/2005 19:10

munnzeib - going to teach at the prison 3 days a week (already teach 1 day at moment), and I am applying for an Advisors role there too.

Good luck jessicasmummy Welcome to the TTc thread!

nasa - about AF

marnda - congratukations! Wow - nearly missed your annoucment there. Well done!

cockensie - glad you like the new house; hope you have t all sorted soon.

Good to hear from hester

Hulababy · 26/01/2005 19:04

(((jugs))) Jeddah. Sounds like a horrid Dr. Can you ask to see a more sypathetic one - who may be more likely to sit and discuss all your options, including tests, etc. So sorry!

munnzieb · 26/01/2005 18:37

I have a joke Rudy for u! (no offense to the rest of the blondes here, I am one, and if we don't take the mick ourselves someone else will!)

For those of you having blonde moments!

A blonde woman goes into a department store and tells the salesman she wants a pair of pink curtains.

He assures her they have a good selection of pink curtains.

He shows her many kinds of different fabrics of curtains and she finally picks out a pink floral pattern.

The salesman asks, "What size do you need?"

She says, "15 inches."

He exclaims, "15 INCHES!.......What room are they for?"

She says, "It's not for a room, it's for my computer monitor."

The surprised salesman exclaims, "Miss, computers do not need curtains."

The blonde says, "HELLooooooo.........I've got Windows!"

munnzieb · 26/01/2005 18:32

hi guys i've jsut had this email from hester and she's asked I cut and paste it (honest it's not me pretending to be her!)

Munnzie, this is so kind of you! I loved reading and catching up - brilliant.
When you have time, could you bear to cut and paste this message from me?

"Hi everyone, hester here. My MN addiction has been curbed by home PC dying
(trying and trying to fix it, but nothing has worked yet) and work barring
access to the site (could it be just me, or am I surrounded by secret MNetters?
I guess I'll find out!). I miss you all and do hope to be back on-line very
soon. In the meantime, can I just say:

  • CONGRATULATIONS to morningpaper and cori
  • BIG HUGS AND COMMISERATIONS to yingers - I'm so very sorry this has happened to you, yings
  • BIG HUGS also to jedds; I'm really upset by this, Jedds, will email you
  • WAVE to marinda - I miss you and your duffers thread!
  • CONGRATULATIONS to Tania for getting started on this IVF project

I am STILL off chocolate - is making me feel better physically but doing no good
to my mental health. I've still got this nausea bug that I've had on and off
since December - like having morning sickness all the time, as it's much worse
first thing and when tired - be warned, those of you who may be interpreting
nausea as a symptom!

Missing you all. Anyone who wants to CAT me to stop me getting too lonely, feel
free!"

I know you're busy, munns, so don't worry if you don't have time for this.

Am off to email jedds. Poor, poor thing.

xxx

munnzieb · 26/01/2005 18:28

hiya all,

cockenzie - no he's still here... hmmm, and don't i know it, the hosue is a smoke smelling tip (and also v hot as FIL has sorted my heating out, bless him!)

marinda - u lucky thing you congratulations hon! don't forget to spread the dust..... over this way! lol,

finally managed to speak to my Dr and he says that one of the gyno's has been suspended - apparently it was in the local paper - shows how much attention I pay, and basically theres nothing he can do as they've lost beds as well for patients reeled off a load of spil and basically he was as much use as tit's on a goldfish, tellin me I had to wait until may, bloody cheek, so i'll keep tryin the hospital. surely they'll get me in b4, I'm currentyl CD7 (BTW, DH recons our persona boxes are like glasses cases ..... bless him.... he had a look inside and announced to the whole world and his dog that I was 26 greenlight flashing m! and then added what's that for any how, I nearly died of embaressment, thou he won't live it down he thught it was a glasses case! lol!

pickledonion · 26/01/2005 18:24

marinda - fantastic news congrats to you xx

littleweed · 26/01/2005 18:23

hey well done you what fantastic news!!!!! take good care.LW xx

marinda · 26/01/2005 18:13

Jeddah - I agree with Monzie that the DR is a WAN * Is there no treatment for low sperm count as this is probably the main problem rather than your age !!!!!!! I should ask for a second oppinion as the DO differ!!!! A friend of mine 45 nearly 46 (DP same age) was told no chance of pg at 43. She has 3 miscarriages and then conceived with IVF - I guess she was lucky as she concieved on last possible IVF cycle but for god'd sake DON'T GIVE UP !!!! I was going to look into adopting a Tusami baby if I has not concieved by march and I still might anyway. Try looking at other options as well as TTC - I found this helped me !!! Is donor egg an option ?? Wahtever you do, DON'T GET DEPRESSED. i SUPPOSE I'LL HAVE TO LEAVE THE THREAD GIVEN MY NEW BUT PLEASE TALK TO ME ON OLD duffers ! I am paraniod now that I will have an early miscarriage -

Munzie, Rudy I will drop in from time to time- you have given me SOOOO much support over last few months and I have learnt so much about TTC. Feel so sick - work is a nightmare ! Thought I has a hormonal problem TBH.

marinda · 26/01/2005 17:06

OMG - it's a BFP (used First response!) Caved in and tested ! Reeling from shock so will post later

RudyDudy · 26/01/2005 15:30

no - just got my head stuck in a book. Bored out of my brain but last exam tomorrow . Glad the move went well.

Wil probably be back on later for a proper catch up!

cockenzie · 26/01/2005 13:53

cockenzie · 26/01/2005 12:04

ov on the 20th cd ~(not 20th jan) sorry. and now CD33. howlong does it take to start showing?

cockenzie · 26/01/2005 12:01

hi everyone

Oh jedds, thats not possible to be treated like this. I am sure you can go and see someone else, a second opinion or else. and yes your GP why not? that guy you went and saw should be shot. There is no talking to people like that . can you not see someone else?

MP so happy for you. you must be over the moon!!

Munzieb - is dh gone yet already? you must have had a fabulous time with him? well hope its going to show soon?

how long should you wait to see a result? got my persona, well MIL bought it for me. she so wants a 2nd grandchild. and well, havent had a chance to use it yet. i dont know if am having a late cycle or what.still no af.funny enough this wasnt planned but an accident.ov on the 20th and we did it just 2 days earlier.

New house is nice but soooo dirty . i am having to scrub all of it.but not complaining too much though. very convenient and practical to take dd for walks in pram. just missing our little village. cockenzie is such a nice place.

anyway, any more testers??
