Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

(((ernest))) - I'm not surprised your head is exploding. Agree with the others that waiting a few days and testing again would be a good idea. If no joy perhaps make an appt to discuss with your gp.

Munnzie - not sure I know for definite about cervix position but mine is hidden (DH calls it "secret cervix") and that didn't make any difference to me getting pg before. Just means I have to have the really long nasty metal thing when I go for a smear .

Good luck for whenever you choose to bd BellaLasagne

CD34 here and 13dpo (I think). Used to have a 35 days cycle but for the last three it's been getting longer and last month was 42 so no idea when AF due. Still, off on holiday tomorrow and don't know the spanish for HPT so will just have to wait and see what happens. If no AF by the time we get back I will be desperate to test!

munnzieb · 28/01/2005 17:48

ok girls I have a question, I don't know if you can help, or if i'll just need to wait for jeds/hest to come back over as a resident MV/HCP)

my Cervix sits to the left, or was it right? (ponders that thought) anyhow it sits slightly to one side, would this effect our TTC plans at all? I don't think it would do but am just wondering.

munnzieb · 28/01/2005 17:32

BL - yes they need to be the same strenght in coulor as it were. Just keep testin till that's what you see.

ern - ((hugs)) sorry about that hon, have yo had any thyroid probs in the past? Would really go with hula's suggestion, and sit tight until you can get another test and try again. how long did you leave it b4 u looked again?

Hulababy · 28/01/2005 17:24

(((hugs)))ernest. Not sure what to suggest other than trying to test again in a day or two if still feeling the same, or asking the GP to do a test for you? Lots of sympathies in the mean time.

ernest · 28/01/2005 17:01

Hi all, not really been around much lately but congratulations to mp (& anyone else?) & hope you feel better/ get some clearer answers jeddah. Hardly a great offer increasing your chances from 2 pc to 7 pc for a mere 4 grand. very sorry.

Guys, any comfort or consolation pls sling my way. My head is going to explode I think. OK, so AF was due last Mondat. Really thought I was pg, did test bfn. Af finally came eve of 3rd day. But was v. light. vv light. Still have pg symptoms, but also have toatlly ditched booze. Also read that thyroid probs can casue lighter periods. So now I'm having these symptoms that could potentially be attributable to either pg, or thyroid, or alcohol withdrawal (not all). My breasts hurt (sometimes). I'm waking up in the night for a wee, I'm incredibly thirsty. I'm v. tired (even going to bed at 9.30 & getting up at 8 still knackered. Im my prev pg thirst & tiredness were the 2 main symptoms.

But done another test & got bfn. But then looked at it later & it was pos, but I know you shouldn't look after 'cod they can change, but it has nevertheless thrown me up in the air again. I haven't got a chemist near me so can't just dive out & get more tests. I'm getting fed up. Any thoughts anyone> Sorry to go on.

Hulababy · 28/01/2005 16:56

I think for a positive OV on an OPK both lines should be at least the same shade? Maybe test first thing and then see what it says???

BellaLasagne · 28/01/2005 13:06

Help girls!

I'm using OPKs this month and am on cd15. I started testing on cd11 (for a 30 day cycle expecting to ov about cd16). On cds 11, 12, 13, 14 I had hardly any line at all, I had to squint and probably imagined a line. This morning I had a feint line but nowhere near the sample line in darkness. The instructions say to wait until the line is almost like the sample line.

I've had the odd mittlescmertz twinge and CM yesterday changed to wet (so sorry if you're eating lunch!! )

The big question is, bearing in mind that dh probably has a low count so we should only do it every other day, do we go for tonight or wait until I get a darker line on the OPK and possible risk missing the big O according to the OPK??

BLxx

Mirage · 28/01/2005 12:46

Jeddah, from what I can remember,dh took Zinc, vitamin C & possibly vitamin D too.I understand that it takes 70 days for sperm to be manufactured & to mature,as after the poor sample,we were asked if dh had been ill or under stress 70 days prior to the test.

If it helps,I took Evening primrose oil & seaweed capsules which contain zinc in the few months before my 1st 2 pregnancies,as well as having acupuncture.

Wishing you loads of luck.If I can help anymore, please let me know.
Love
Mirage

I am beginning to think that b/feeding is kind of interfeering somehow.especially that i still b/f at night.not so much during day but at night 1 or 2 times.and that may just f* everything up.excuse my language. any opinions anyone on this? would be greatly appreciated.

Some pregnancy charts here:

cockenzie · 28/01/2005 12:01

How about that? what do you think of that?

Too much prolactin. You might miss a period (or more than one) if your brain is producing an abnormally high level of the hormone prolactin. A woman's body usually makes prolactin when she's breastfeeding, which is why menstruation generally stops at this time. If this is what's happening to you, you may notice a milky discharge from your nipples. This condition can usually be treated with medication.

I am just getting at the moment a very yellowy discharge.

cockenzie · 28/01/2005 11:49

can one of your pregnant email her temp chart pls? i would just like to compare with mine and see what a pg chart is supposed to look like.thanks.i bet you i am going to bleed in the next 5 days.hope nothing wrong with me.dp was saying that (because i did 2 clearblue neg and a FR neg) mayb b/feeding may interact with the test and giv a false result? i doubt it somehow.i think we have hallucinated with the 'answer' tests.well, next tuesday seeing doc who may shed light on the pb.

sorry hula for AF

munnzieb · 28/01/2005 08:57

I know it goes so quick when you're having all that fun!

I think we need to start a new thread soon cos this one's takin ages to load on dial up... talkin of which.......

OI COCKENZIE - i'm nominating you as the most probable person to get a BFP to start the new thread, (then lurk and spread the dust about) have you tested yet or did you decide to wait?

Hulababy · 28/01/2005 08:53
