Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

Tania2 · 05/01/2005 12:03

Thanks so much minnie. I think they put you on the pill so they can create their cycle so to speak so you dont ov and release the eggs that they want to retreive. i think that is right but i will be asking all those questions too on monday with the nurse.
Off to bed now very tired been working hard with dh today building a playground for ds (dh used to build commercial playgrounds like the ones you get a MacDonalds) so now we have a huge playgound in our back yard. ds may not have a brother or sister like his friends but at least he has a bloody great playground instead [blowing rasberry face icon]
Hoping i will feel better tomorrow.
Oh btw everyone my baby is now in a big bed i cryed when i first saw him asleep in his big bed. they just dont stay babies for long enough.

MINNIE1 · 05/01/2005 11:52

Tania2 · 05/01/2005 10:51

Hi girls,
Congratulations Sallie well done and all the best for the next 9 months.
Welcome huntermunker and dont worry about the b/f thing just found out that my sister who wasnt ttc her 2nd has just found out that she is pg she i still b/f her 19mth old dd and really wasnt going to ttc until her dd was 2. Iam feeling happy for her that she is pg but also feeling very lonely she was my lifeline one of the only people that i know that is not pg....sorry cant stop crying i feel so alone atm everyone i know that has dd/ds around the same age as my ds is either got their 2nd child or is pg and here i am having to do ivf. really feeling atm that i need to cut myself off from all of my friends that are in the postion that i want to be in how am i suppose to get through this it really is killing me inside.
Have my appointment with my gyno tomorrow to sign all the papers for ivf and discuss the cycle that i will be doing...my god i cant stop crying....then Monday is my first appointment with the councellor and the nurses at the ivf clinic. i have currently got af so iam hoping that i dont have to wait another month until next af. Councellor said today that it might be possible to start the pill now and be doing ivf this month...god i hope it works cant bare to be around my friends atm. sorry cant type anymore just crying too much.

Morning all! My home PC has died so have been out of touch for a while...

How lovely to have a new thread. Thanks so much for starting it, Sallie. And thanks to all those graduates who popped back to wish us luck and sprinkle babydust

I have a few responses to posts on the last thread - do I post them here, or there? [confused emoticon]. OK, I'll do them here:

Pooka, Bluestar and Yingers - huge congratulations! Wow, 16 really WAS a lucky thread, wasn't it? Who started it? Clever girl.

ChaCha - Becki's not old, she's a spring chicken! It's me and jedds who are the old warhorses of the thread (40 and 41, since you ask). Speaking of which, munnzie you did made me laugh with the post about the 67-year-old; nice to find SOMEONE who makes me feel youthful in comparison!

Welcome Countess DingDongDrac and hunkermunker .

ernest - so sorry you've been having hard times. Best of luck with everything.

Sparkly, I am an expert in torturing myself with symptoms and imagined symptoms, so I really sympathise. All I can tell you is that the month I fell pregnant I was convinced (by symptoms) that I wasn't; whereas last month I had a whole raft of pregnancy symptoms and af came nonetheless. It's a tough game and you have to try to keep your head together (this is where chocolate can help...)

Becki, I am SO sorry to hear of your disappointment. You're having such a cruel, difficult journey. Big hugs to you xxx

cockenzie · 05/01/2005 09:58

i read somebodys post who is tring for no2 and is still b/feeding?

cockenzie · 05/01/2005 09:43

Hulababy · 05/01/2005 09:21

Thanks bonkerz. I am hoping that they will help pinpoint Ov, seeing as Ff seems unable. I will CAT you now, or you can e-mail me on claireandrich(at)beeb(dot)net, if easier.

CD7 for me today so all is quiet. OV will be Cd13/14 at the earliest.

munnzieb · 05/01/2005 09:00

hi all, thanks for the new thread sallie, and congrats to you as well, that last thread was really lucky! hopefully this one will be as well.

HM - Welcome to the madness hon! lol.

did my persona thing this morning - and...... dududummmmm saw a huge 'o' sign, (too bad dh isn't home till next week thou! lol) so, in short I know i'm Ov everymonth and not every other as I first thought - doh means the quack knew what he was on about all along! so anyhow, back to the point, yesterday I was upset as I didn't think i would OV this month and was going to ask for the clomid etc.. when we went on 25th, but now i've OV'ed two months on the trott, i'm now thinking do I really need to go to the Gyno after all, as i'll feel like i'm wastin his time really, as we were only just TTC on cycle 7 (I think or 6) when we were refered and since then DH has been away, so should I cancell this appt and see what progresses when DH returns or should I go just to have an all over check up? - I assume thou as I OV theres nothing wrong with my tube? being that i'm only 22, and am Ov, surely theres someone in better need than I for the appt?? what do u guys think?

FS - we're all still here I think, thou where young jedds is I don't know the O showed up for her! lol, and prob hester as well - he he talkin of which OI GIRLIES U TWO WHERE R U?? lol.

runtus · 05/01/2005 08:51

Here's my share of the baby dust for this thread, all the best everybody!

hunkermunker · 04/01/2005 23:07

Hi Cockenzie - Clomid regulated my ovulation as I have PCOS and don't do it very well or frequently!

I had follicle tracking too, two scans to check I'd ovulated and how many eggs there were as Clomid can overstimulate the ovaries. I had one egg and the lady doing the scan didn't sound hopeful that I'd get pg, but obviously it was a good egg (lol) as he's now asleep in his cot So I saw DS as an egg!

MINNIE1 · 04/01/2005 22:58

Just popping in to say Good Luck to everyone ttc in the New Year. I found out just before Christmas that I am having a girl so she is sending baby dust your way...

cockenzie · 04/01/2005 22:15

btw what is clomid and what does it do?

cockenzie · 04/01/2005 22:14

congrats sallie.

heres my stats:

TTC baby #2
DD (11m) is still breastfed, so who knows what's going on with my cycle?! I started 0n 34 days when she was born and for the last 6 months its gone down to 29 days.so in theory, this month should be a 28 days cycle.
On CD11 of Month 5 of TTC
using FF and BBT.
i dont know yet when I OV.

bonkerz · 04/01/2005 22:11

ofcourse you can have them hula! email me your address and i will post them at some point this week! think i have about 10!!! they are the ones from medisave!

morningpaper · 04/01/2005 22:03

TTC #2 (dd is 2 years and 3 months)
CD 5 of I think cycle 5 but DH says it's only cycle 3 because we didn't try PROPERLY until then...

I am enjoying all the BD but I REALLY REALLY WANT A BABY SO MUCH! I really want to give dd a baby sister or brother because she asks for one all the time.

Fastasleep · 04/01/2005 21:36

Oh my god I missed the thread change and everything! I hope you're all alright, and congrats to all the new lucky bfp girls! I've been madly busy... sorry if I've missed anythin important , I miss babbling on here! Hester, cockenzie, jeds, jingle, you there loves? Any news?

fastasleep's stats -

Ttc #2, only been at it properly for 2 months, but had not been using protection whilst breastfeeding for 9ish months previously. DS is only 10 months old and I'm only 17, but I'm obviously a bit daft in the head

I'm currently on cd 25 of a 30 day cycle - 13 dpo by my reckoning, nesting madly, picking up on every twinge and trying my hardest not to test!

sparkly · 04/01/2005 21:20

Sallie - congrats - I'm cd23 and going to try to wait till cd29 to test which would be next Monday I think. Weekend is going to seem soooo long.

My stats:

TTC baby 2
DD (5yo)
Took ages to get pregnant first time - did clomid, ivf etc with no luck then, somehow, just got pregnant
First month of TTC
Not using an opk yet - will do if no results by 6 months

Good luck to everyone!

marinda · 04/01/2005 19:57

Here's mine:
TTC baby #2
DS (3y 8m)
On CD9 of Month 6 of TTC
Using OPK for OV- but do not really feel these are very reliable -so thinking about changing to persona.
Cycle length ranges from 23 to 28 days,
Seem to OV on CD8
