Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

wow jeddah u staying on a farm? hmmm... sounds good countryside.

where u from kiwicath? where u staying?

yes fastasleep , we got another pb in hand with bf sob sob...

Hulababy · 09/01/2005 09:55

Anyone got any advice on the OPKS? Bonkerz, the lovely person, sent me some to try. But have I missed the chance to use them this month - I expect so I guess. I am on CD12. In past I have OV'd around CD17, but last month it may have been CD13 or 14. Midnd you FF suggests I didn't OV at all. Cycle length has also varied between 25 days and 32 days.

So when do I use them?

jeddah · 09/01/2005 09:46

Girls I haven't posted for a day as we have had a power cut hear on the farm.....no heating, no cooker,no lights etc etc etc...went off at 6am and came on at midnight last night!

Tan sorry to hear about your sister

Becki sorry to hear about the your hard times at present didn't realise that you were also having problems at work!......how long are you off for?

Hester......you are similar to me this month!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts!

welcome to the new girls

I am cd30 and ov on cd19-20 .............so that makes me 10-11dpo!

I am really trying to not think about testing yet! I will test on thursday if the bitch hasn't arrived!
GIRLS PLEASE TELL ME THE BEST TEST TO GET!

Fastasleep · 09/01/2005 09:27

Big hugs to Becki and Tania Sounds like tough times for you both, I really hope it gets better for you Becki - and I'm hopeful for your sister's bean Tania you would think mother nature might want to replace the lost lives! But then again I spose nature hates us with the carbon emissions and shut up fastasleep stop watching scary programmes on the environment....ahem. ...Good luck to you both anyway!

Fastasleep · 09/01/2005 09:22

Hey Cockenzie... I'm sure I'm in the same boat as you and kiwi....still! because I got a BFN this morning.. theoretically it could be too early etc etc but yeah right lol I'm beginning to think that I can't be sure when I'm ovulating now! Except... I was so certain I O'd on the 23rd... my body went into overdrive and I had all the old symptoms from before I was pregnant with Theo and everything, I suppose I could have just had an unlucky month I was pregnant by this time with Theo! WAAAHH! Lol

I had sore boobs this time and everything which I never get with AF, dammit!

Massive amounts of babydust going to Jeds and Hester!!! And pokes cockenzie and kiwi's ovaries to make eggs pop out lol I guess us BFers have to be patient... at least we can cling onto that as an excuse rather than really beginning to worry about blocked tubes etc...

GO HESTER AND JEDS!!!

cockenzie · 09/01/2005 08:40

kiwicah - what are u using? BBT/FF/Persona??

cockenzie · 09/01/2005 08:39

kiwicath - know exactly what u mean.i lov my time when dd hangs down my boobs, but at the same time i cant conceiv in those conditions. and i feel guilty for saying that cos sounds so selfish but at the same tine terrible BROODING!! so guess hormons (that want another one) are winning in the end hen.
when u say 4 times, do u mean day tine? same here, but nowadays i try to distract her to avoid bf and encourage cup (e.g walk 9am around the blok to puther to sleep and 2/3pm).as bf also triggers sleeping time for dd.

cockenzie · 09/01/2005 08:35

beckif - big huggs and u seem to be having a rough time sweetie? xxxxx
how do u work out ur dpo? i take it they are days past ov? i dont think i am ov this month.still temp raise and CD16 though.too late to ov and have a lp and get pg.very frustrating but too mentally tired to be angry.ttc can seriously mentally drain you cant it girls?

munzieb - dh bak soon hon?

Kiwicath · 09/01/2005 06:40

Cockenzie, my wee chap turned 1 at Xmas and I'm still feeding 4 times. He eats for England and NZ combined but loves his boobs and I love feeding him - such a comfort for both of us. Planned to carry on for as long as he'll have me but I guess if it's preventing my cycles settling/not conceiving, I might have to rethink . Day 34 and still not sign of AF. If my cycles were steady I'd be over the moon right about now and off down to the chemist for a test but guanteed, the minute I buy it, I'll start my period . Feeling very premenstral and my 34 year old face looks like an adolescent teenagers - agrrrrrr!!!

Hulababy · 08/01/2005 23:06

(((hugs))) Becki. Thinking of you - you are going through some real stressful times right now. Take care.

cockenzie · 08/01/2005 22:33

kiwicath - how often do u bf?

cockenzie · 08/01/2005 22:32

ernest and jeddah - u both give me the exact kind of advice.but i do think that persona will give me a more accurate idea of what going on with my body. anyway, had a chat with dp tonite and he said he was going to buy me one before my next cycle.gosh , he is soooo sweet, love him sooo much!!! he is desperate himself for another one hehe.well, CD15 and still no sign of ov.

Tania2 · 08/01/2005 21:55

Becki so sorry you have had such a awful time what happened with your work did that cause the breakdown or was it all this ttc stuff. We are all here for you dont feel alone we are your friends and care for you. but as marinda said if you dont want to talk about it we will understand we are just worried about you.
Take care angel and i hope the meds make you feel better soon.
LOL Tania

marinda · 08/01/2005 21:22

Becki are you OK, you mentioned a suspension from work ? If you don't want to talk, i'll understand !

Hulababy · 08/01/2005 19:32

bonkerz - they arrived today. Thank you so much. Infact I reckon they are in time to use this month Just have to read instructions now. I am on CD10 today, and no sign of EWCM or anything yet. I think I may OV between CD13 and CD17, so need to find out when to sytart testing.

BeckiF · 08/01/2005 19:18

Other than the suspected EWCM I did have a drop in temps and now have had a rise. I wld suspect that if I have another high temp tomorrow Fertility Friend will say that I have ovulated (for the 3rd time in this cycle!). It seems to mean nothing to my cycle, and last time I did get 10dpo before my temps dropped again and FF removed the ovulation detection. I think its more of the curse of PCOS. Each day is a new day though, and what with the grief of the suspension from work and the fact that I am on medication for the breakdown, the chances of my conceiving are insignificantly low.

MINNIE1 · 08/01/2005 19:02

BeckiF,
How are you doing?? Lets hope there's a BFP in the bag for you..... Good sign to see the CM, no expert but i had alot this month either that or dp sailors (sorry TMI)

Tania2 · 08/01/2005 12:52

Hi girls just quickly popping in to see how everyone is.
Jed and Hester wishing you both the best of luck really hoping that i will be seeing a BFP from you both this month.
Welcome Kiwicath.
Well i think my sister m/c today i called her to see how she was going and she said that she is having heavy bleeding but no pains????? But her reaction was...."i have nothing to complain about when people have lost their loved ones in the tsumani" she is such a selfless person i would be feeling very sorry for my self atm and blaming the world. She is such a beautiful person and my rock love her to pieces. She cant find out what her body is doing for another week when they do more blood test and maybe another scan. I pray for her that her little bean sticks.
Just scrolled down the thread and realised i have been a snob and havent posted in 2 days i have been lurking though must have just thought that i had posted. I admit i have been chating on a ivf support chat room that has given me alot of info and support but nothing compared to what i have received from you guys this past year. Been so stressed out lately started taking VitB for stress and energy think it worked today as i managed to clean the house and tidy up all of ds's toys out the back . Had a nice night tonight thought had a girlfriend around to watch her wedding video that i was in in october that my dh had taped for her. pizza & pepsi max for dinner so much for the health kick hay!!!! she is ttc #1 but not putting much presure on herself though was more interested in reading all about my ivf procedure. She has had 2 terminations when she was younger and m/c last november so she is now wondering if god is telling her that she has blown her chances. She owns a childcare centre and is just so great with children i would have been lost without her when ds was a baby so is one of those people that are just meant to have kids i would say that when she has her babies i will have lots of kids at my house (payback).
Anyway hope you are all well i will try to post more. But please remember that i am still lurking and keeping an eye on you girl waiting for more BFP's.
Love to you all
Tania

Kiwicath · 08/01/2005 12:21

Cockenzie, sounds like we are in the same boat re the breastfeeding. Makes me sad to think of not breastfeeding, makes me sad to think of not conceiving because of it .... shit, everything is making me sad at the moment. On day 33 at the moment but have major AF symptoms and no sore boobies so preddy sure I'm not pregnant. Timing all out of whack. I have no access to this "persona" thing that everyone's talking about but do have eggy mucous on day 14, even though my periods are coming between 33-40 days. Any other ways of knowing that I'm ovulating without buying all the sticks/kits??

ernest · 08/01/2005 10:41

Just popping in quick -
v. sorry canadianmom - must be horribly frustrating. understatement.

cockenzie. you can't use persona till at least 3 months (start of 3rd normal cycle) after finishing breastfeeding, so at the moment there's no point in rushing out to get one

Kiwicath · 08/01/2005 10:27

Just posted this on #16 but I guess it should have been #17 ..... Hi Everyone and Happy New Year. From the sounds of the last few posts, a BIG CONGRATES TO SALLY. Just wondering if I could join your thread. I haven't read thru all the posts but will sit with a coffee later on and read up on all of you. I've got to admit the "conception" topic was never on my list of topics that I'd browze as I didn't discover Mumsnet until I was preggers with 1#. Now, however, it's a different story. I gave birth to a chunky healthy little boy last Xmas after many years, drugs, dyes, laps, lazers, tears. I'm still breastfeeding but my period returned on his 8 month birthday. We've been TTC since then. My previously regular-as-clockwork 28 day cycle is now all over the place and I'm not 100% sure when I ovulate ... even if I ovulate. My mates (who have all got pregnant without trying!!!) tell me to relax and just bonk like crazy all month but my husband works nights 6 days a week so we really do have to plan things - not helping I'm sure. Well, that's about it! Cheers and hope to chat soon.

RudyDudy · 08/01/2005 10:19

Canadianmom - really sorry to hear that.

Canadianmom · 08/01/2005 01:49

Snowstorm means that our flight tomorrow is cancelled. Guess I will be here for at least another month as I am sure that I am soon to ov.

SilverLining · 07/01/2005 22:15

Just passing through and had to stop by to wish Jeddah lots of luck with her funny feelings and really hope thats its not a visit from you know who and possibly something else .... I feel for you with the long wait honey!

marinda · 07/01/2005 20:32

Hi Hester - got the post about when Fastasleep is your age, your child will have left home - same for me really - Bl*Y HELL ! I am feeling shite -at mo as think I have no OV'd - no LH on OPK - But did have EWCM (I think!) - so a non month for me as far as TTC is concerned ! CD12 for me - usually have OV'd by now !
What a pain TTC is - however I am soo inspired by Arabica !! I make a promise that if I am pg before anyone as old or older than me - I will organise a meet-up with them and buy drinks for them for at least half the night (provided they are on this thread!)
