yesterday i was asked why i dont go to 'Family Planning '? i dont know tbh.but then we all ttc and we dont go to family planning.what would it change?

Am joining back on this thread after leaving it in November. I am afraid that on Friday I was told I am having a missed miscarriage, I was supposed to be 10 weeks but it stopped growing at 6 weeks. Very devastated obviously but am determined to get on with things. I am going back to the clinic tomorrow where I think I shall be referred for a D&C. To be honest I just want to get it all over with and move on - all this waiting around is a nightmare!
Anyway enough of all the depressing stuff.
I have been reading as much stuff as I can find and would like to start TTC staright away without waiting. Hester - did you wait a month?
Anybody have views / experience?

Rudy - I know, seems a bit silly really hurrying along AF when i'm on a TTC threaad! lol, it's been er.. 14 weeks when DH comes home, so another 8 and then it's done for at least 18 months and back to TTC ful style! lol. still Hopefully i'll be PG next cycle so that will be nice, and will mean I can go shopping! yay!, (who am I kiddin I shop anywyas for no apparent reason! lol)

af due Friday, and nothing much to report in the way of symptoms. Breasts normal, feeling bloated but that's possibly due to too much chocolate, the odd bit of nausea but usually AFTER eating chocolate... As ever, (including the month I got pg) have been having cramping, but it's been different since I got pg. Before, it was always lower-back pressure and cramping. Now, it feels more stingy and prickly and is focused around the front of my womb. Has anyone else who's had mc found that?

Anyway, feeling much calmer after the emotional upsets of the last two months. Am expecting af - don't feel pg - but am not too upset about it (yet). Am very aware, though, that my deal with my donor was to try for 12 months - and this is month 12. He hasn't mentioned it, but we can't go on for ever. Hmmm, do I just go on till I've had enough, or give myself a deadline beyond which I will put this madness behind me and build a different sort of life?

Anyway, runtus - your question about the dampness is interesting and is something I've wondered about. I've not seen anything written about it, but in the month I got pg I was aware of being wetter. However, was that just because I was hyper-alert to the first trickle of af, even after I'd got a BFP? Don't know, I'm afraid. But if you get pg this month I'll think we're definitely onto something!

Kiwicath - it doesn't sound very promising, but you never know... The month I got pg (November) was the month I was most convinced I wasn't, because of af symptoms etc. I agree with jeddah: the symptoms of af and pregnancy are not so very different. Although some women are really good at 'knowing' they are pg, even from very early on, most of us are not.

Rudy - so glad your appointment went well. A good doctor is worth their weight...

Munnzie - 'barrack damages' raised my eyebrows! Is that really the term they use when you have home improvements done?! And you thought your dh had been on a bender?! Anyway, my love, the Portland is not such a great place to give birth; if you had the money to spare it would be better spent leaving an NHS hospital the day after birth and checking into the Ritz with a maternity nurse in tow!

Hi Tania - glad that things are progressing so quickly with the ivf - they don't mess about, do they?! Wishing you all the luck in the world with it all. Really looking forward to hearing about your BFP . And completely understand you 'cheating' on us - it must be very helpful to chat with others in the same boat. Well, I know that it is here!

Munnzie - bet you're looking forward to Friday!! How long is it since you saw DH? LOL trying to make AF come - how unlikely are you to hear that on a ttc thread! What are you doing??? Oh and sorry to hear you're caught up in the middle with the in-laws - I would hate that.

BeckiF - read your work thread. Really sorry to hear the sh*t you're having to deal with. It's the last thing you need when ttc. Stay strong and I hope things get sorted soon.

morning all, am feellina bit down and depressed today, but still not to worry - 4 days to go, then I can pound DH's head on the wall for so called 'barrack damages' we've been charged for he's not told me about...... oooh actually that could be my new carpets.... doh, best send an apologie email now hadn't I, I forgot about those. anyhow. CD19, am feelin v damp downstairs as it were. (am hopefuly AF will turn up in a few days, (have the usual AF spot coming up, so it can't be far off- I keep poping to the loo to check if she's arrived or not yet.)

Anyhow, Rantus, I'm normally a bit damper around AF (nearly as much as when I OV but not quite) I've just taken this as normal, thou I don't know if urs will be diff as ur on this clomid. Hest, any Ideas? poss start a new thread off? How's things going on that anyhow? have you had much in the way of side effects yet?

Cockenzie - with second hand moniters all u have to do is re set them, and they're good to go. They are a god send, as u say no more guessing and worrying.

Well, anyhow, I'm tryin to relax for fri, and am hoping i'll catch, but at the mo, i'm feeling v v doubtful, and really down, I'm so broody it's unbelievable, but I guess u guys all know what it's like. I've even taken to watchin discovery health for the portland babies. A hospital I wouldn't mind usin if I could! still on wards and upwards.

Kiwicath and Fastasleep - you have all my sympathy! It is such a difficult time waiting for AF to turn up, hoping that she won't and trying to decide whether to test or not. My cycles have been getting longer each time for the last few months and it has been driving me insane as I have kept thinking I'm late when I'm not really! If you can stay sane then try to put off testing as long as poss - to save you hope and sanity. But if you're anything like me you won't be able to so good luck

Hester - good to hear from you. Will keep everything crossed for Friday for you but in the meantime hope the choc is doing its trick .

Jeddah - hope AF isn't being too much of cow. Not long to wait for your appt now and at least you can feel that you are doing all that you possibly can to make things happen. Really hoping that there is a simple and straightforward and readily treatable answer - ah, wouldn't that be lovely!

I had a fab appointment with the nicest Dr in the world yesterday. Was a bit worried that I would get short shrift for 'bothering them' when I'd only been ttc for 3months but she couldn't have been more helpful and supportive and didn't make me feel like that at all. Given my endo history she has referred me for a consultant appt that will probably ultimately lead to a laperoscopy but she said I was right to come now as the initial appt will probably be 2 months and the lap another 6 months after that by which time we will have been trying for about a year. Obviously the hope is that I won't need any of these but at least I am in the system now rather than waiting until we've tried a year and then having to wait another 8 months before a lap. Really hope I don't have to have another lap but if I'm not pg in a year then I will want to have it to know what's going on. Also, she said I could have a 'Day 21' test to see if I'm Ov but that it should be 9 days before AF is due which is a bit tricky atm because my cycles have all been different lengths so far. Will try and guess but she said if it comes up negative it may just be that I've guessed wrong.

Sorry that was so long! And I haven't even caught up with half of you yet...

Doh kiwi, I'm with you in the to test or not dilemma... my period's due today, I'm begginning to wonder whats happening to my cycles, the last one was 40+ days!!!! Never happened before... did a test on Sunday BFN, but my boobs sting on and off and I haven't had that with AF before.... typical me though, I just slowly accumulate Af symptoms over time so it seems as if I'm pregnant whenever a new one pops up! I had my heart set on a September baby after last month too lol.... best of luck kiwi and all you other testers!

Nickichik, welcome to you too. No matter how you get there, pregnancy is pregnancy so don't beat yourself up about "needing help". There's so many of us "needy" women out there you have no idea. Good luck and chat soon.

TO TEST .... OR NOT TO TEST???? OK, here's where I am at the moment. CD36 on a very unreliable cycle ie 44,36,33 and now 36. Have absolutely NO preg symptoms. Just had my morning coffee - YUM, not feeling sick, got af pains like crazy, boobs are feeling normal (but still bfing, may have something to do with that), dry knickers AND last night fitted into my skinny (all relative) jeans. Sounds crazy but I sort of like not knowing as it gives me a small amount of hope. What to do, what to do - doesn't sound promising though does it .

Pickledonion - welcome, this thread doing the world of good for me, hope you too. Simply knowing that you girls are out there going thru the same ups, downs and crazy imaginings is a great comfort.

Jeddah - does the slight reduction in mobility mean less fertile ? I read (in this book I mentioned earlier and other sources) that male fertility after age 35 also significantly reduces and in 30% of infertility cases it is the man's reproductive system responsible and in another the 30% the woman's and in the other 40% of cases it is a combination of both! There are so many factors to play and not just older couples. I just HAVE to go through some tests as I can't go through this not knowing etc.... Crazy isn't it !!!

both same result, slight reduction in mobility!
