Thanks for suggesting that I start this thread - its a real honour. Won't be leaving it yet as am only on cd24, despite getting bfps from the 3 tests I have done today (paranoid or what?!).
Lots and lots of babydust to everyone. If this pg is successful, I will have conceived in the midst of an awful cold so that should give everyone some hope. Lots and lots of hugs.....

Wendy11 - BD NOW ! AS OVULATION WILL TAKE PLACE 24-48 HOURS AND THE SPERMS ARE BETTER IN PLACE WAITING FOR THE EGG TO COME !!I have used OPK's for several months and I think they can be a bit unreliable - but if you combine this method with CM (ie: Wait for 2 lines on OPK and CM favourable too) this is best way of conceiving. Apparently the CM method id very reliable - Dr told me this and Hester (on this thread a lot is expert too) Good Luck !!!!

Sazzlealsop - welcome ! When I was pg with DS very early on I thought AF was due - except the pains (cramps) wre not as severe as a real AF and I don't think I felt as irratable. Also my boobs wre enlarged and stiffish - nipples also sensitive. Can't reallt say, however that the early pg symptons are any different from AF symptoms which is the crap thing about TTC. Many times in the last few months I have been sooo convinced I was pg only for AF to pay a visit - hope this helps !!

Bloody Hell Munzie what crap !!! 6 months !!!!! If I were you I would ring every week until you get a cancellation and tell them you can't cope with waiting as it is causing you pschological damage !!!! You have been waiting ling enough !!!

CD29 for me and STLL no AF - Bought tester first response - trying to hang in there but don't think I can. Thanks for your support ladies - have very odd sick and cramp feeling totally unlike AF but keep thinking should last out till week-end ! Help Please !!!!!!!!!

Jeddah when you have a minute from BD can you give me some advice from one old duffer to another !!! PS: do you know where Hester is ????

wendy11 · 24/01/2005 17:50

Can anyone give me some advice on OPK's. I have been testing for the last two days - currently CD11. This morning the test was a -ve but the two lines were nearly the same colour so I decided to test again this afternoon and the two lines are now the same colour, so does this mean that ovulation wil probably take place in the next 48 hours or should I test again in the morning to check. I feel like I am becoming a OPK test junkie.

cori · 24/01/2005 17:48

Yes , Just have to keep it a secret for five days.

cori · 24/01/2005 17:47

Thanks for all your support. Even though have been an intermittent poster, was helpful to know others were going through the same stressful times every month. Baby Dust to all.
PS Have a box of ovulation tests and some pregnancy test from medisave if anyone wants them CAT me ( hope i am not jinxing myself by giving them away to soon)

Hulababy · 24/01/2005 17:32

Congratulations cori! What a great way to celebrate your anniversary

cori · 24/01/2005 17:21

We have been ttc for seven months, I was very shocked that we concieved last month as I was really ill, so there wasnt much BD. ANyway havent told anyone else yet not even DH as am trying to keep a secret and make announcement on Friday as it is our 9th wedding anniversary.

well, thanks for the choc Rudy, i've had a go at the woman in the hosp, and also rang our dr, but I have to ring back tomorrow when he's not in surgery. I'm sooo wound up about it, and DH was gonna come with me as well, I expect by the time I get it now i'll be PG, do u think theres anything else I can do? I'm not really on for ringing them everyweek for an apt, but I may well need to inorder to be seen b4 May. (and it's not like i've only got one OV or anything and god knows what other bloody gyno probs down there,) and .... and... top cap it all off.... yes theres more, (MIL is staying until tomorrow now, and also it cost me 21p for the pee pot in boots...... yes 21 whole pence, what a cheek! I don't even need it now!)

RudyDudy · 24/01/2005 16:40

Munnzie and on your behalf. How infuriating is that?! I'd be livid. You poor thing - just harass them every opportunity you get until they sort you a new appointment. So sorry about the disappointment. I recommend a LARGE bar of Dairy Milk pronto.

Mariella and Minnie - sorry about AF

Hulababy · 24/01/2005 16:35

mariella · 24/01/2005 16:10

Hi everyone. Well, af has turned up! So, next time I'm saying "hmmm, do you think I'm pregnant? although I've got a huge zit on my chin..." will you all just shout at me "NO!"?

the zit is clearly a huge giveaway

Yingers, I'm really, really sorry.

yingers74 · 24/01/2005 15:03

Tah everyone for your kind words and support. I think I will wait for my next AF and then get going again. I wish everyone on the thread the best of luck this month. x

pickledonion · 24/01/2005 14:57

ernest · 24/01/2005 12:48

congratlations morningpaper. Been lurking about & wondering if anyone was going to hit the jackpot, so very glad you have enjoy these exciting times when you just find out. it's really lovely.

I'm not havng much luck. Was due last monday. af 3 days late. had all sort of symptoms (real & possibly imaginary) really thought was pg, but af came late evening, which is a first for me. But then very light & only lasted a couple of days. Of course tested again, but still got bfn. Feel like mad woman stamping my foot 'I don't believe it, I don't believe it' but well, despite 2 bfn, still not 100% convinced which is madness.

best of luck to all you others testing about now.

yingers74 · 24/01/2005 12:46

Congrats to all those who have recently tested positive.

Unfortunately for me have to re-join as have had a miscarriage. Am on the ttc after miscarriage thread too. Any advice appreciated. Will probably do my usual of popping in and out.

MINNIE1 · 24/01/2005 12:13

morningpaper, Many Congrads..
Wishing you all the best oin your pg...

AF arrived yesterday along with the flu, so feeling like crap, but i have atarted persona... Really hope this works as i am wondering will i ever get PG!!!!

Hope all is well with you all..

mariella · 24/01/2005 12:10

congratulations mp! very exciting!
well, I haven't tested again, but then again af hasn't turned up either. day 29 now. I must say I'm expecting af to come because if I was pg I'd have thought 1st response would have known about it, but then again apart from my huge zit, I don't feel at all premenstrual.
I'm trying to ignore it all completely. with a bit of luck I'll suddenly go "oh my goodness, it is thursday, better test again" and then have a very definite positive!
oh well, I can but dream

morningpaper · 24/01/2005 10:17

Saturday: Clearblue Digital: Negative
Sunday morning: Clearblue not digital: v. faint positive
Sunday evening: Sainsbury's cheapy: clear positive
Monday morning; Clearblue Digital: Positive

By this I would go for Sainsbury's own brand!

Thank you so much for your congratulations, I'm really hoping for more good news soon on this thread! xx

RudyDudy · 24/01/2005 10:10

I sort of know what you mean Hula but I think I would like something that told me quite clearly "yes" or "no". When I was pg with DS I was home alone and the line was so faint I wanted to run into the street and accost passers-by to see if they could see it!! (I didn't - I just screamed down the phone at DH "it might be - but I can't tell! Come home quickly and bring more tests!!!!")

Oh, I am so nervous but I really don't feel that it is this month for me. Right, better go and find something to distract myself with until Saturday...
