Hi ladies!
CD 1 for me today, so I’m moving over from the July thread and starting this one (don’t think there is already one).
Anyone else now ttc for a BFP in August??

Haven't been on threads for a long while but may as well join in for this month!

Awaiting AF after a BFN today on 11/12dpo. Onto cycle 19....

FlyWren · 02/08/2024 21:43

So I got the smiley face on my ovulation test yesterday. People say ovulation happens around 24 hours after that. So am I counting DPO from yesterday or today?

Startingafamily · 02/08/2024 13:57

Cycle one for me. Technically it started in July. AF due 16th August. Hopefully she doesn't turn up. I'll keep you updated.

AF is due on the 16th August for me too!

cocodaisy · 02/08/2024 21:02

I'm currently 4dpo- all today I've had this feeling like I'm a few days away from AF and a few twinges here ans there. Is it too early to experience symptoms at 4dpo?

Lou0811 · 02/08/2024 20:52

Moving over to August thread the June and July…

still on that same cycle since June as my body is messed up.

on day 73 of cycle with 45, about to be day 46 delay for AF and testing BFN…

I thought the other thread had gone quiet, I’ve just discovered you all over here. Hope those of you who are also in the tww are hanging in there. I’ve fully convinced myself this month is the month, I’m 8dpo and have had lots of light cramps and pinching feelings in my stomach as well as feeling a bit sickly. I’m trying not to get too carried away with myself but it’s so hard isn’t it? Sending lots of luck to everyone else who is waiting patiently or gearing up to try again this month.

LucyCL · 02/08/2024 18:57

I also recognise some of us here from the July thread. Today is 3 dpo and I had a decent rise in pdg on Mira which is looking positive! Baby dust to all of us here. 💙

1441x · 02/08/2024 18:14

Phew! AF arrived 7 days late, was starting to worry I wasn't ovulating! Fingers crossed for a successful August cycle😊

RRAEE · 02/08/2024 17:15

@CoolSummer89 we have been trying since may 2023 started out as if it happens it happens and then we started trying properly around December and still no luck but we have had all the tests done to see if anything is going on, we are just waiting the results.

Hopefully happens soon 🙂

Cycle 9/10 now 😪 Nearly back in the TWW, hopefully this one is the one 🤞🏻

Sending Baby dust to all ✨

There was a TikToker I was following for ages, her partner had a very low sperm count. She got her BFP after 14 cycles, inspired me not to give up hope!

I'm on 6dpo despite doing up to 5 opks some days I never did see a peak so premom has just guessed one for me apparently.

Is it more likely I didn't ovulate or I just missed it?

It's so dumb but kinda thought this could be our month. My husband's birthday is end of March, my 2 children's birthdays are April our wedding anniversary is also April and then my birthday is May. So I was hoping finally I'd fall this month to have my final April baby. Although it would make for a very expensive month 🤣

But anyway after opinions on if anyone thinks I have any chance of catching this month x

Fingers crossed for that third April baby for you! You might have just missed the peak, opks are a bit unpredictable x

CoolSummer89 · 02/08/2024 14:28

Hi all, I am getting the AF aches so I know she is on her way. This cycle has been very up and down, temps zigzagging and symptoms a go-go. I am having a hormone panel done on Monday, so hopefully that will pick up anything weird.

When AF arrives this will be cycle 8 of trying for #1. I am 35 and have very regular cycles, DH is 36 and had one undescended testicle as a child which could be impacting his fertility, but we don't know for certain yet. He has an appointment for sperm analysis in four months (!) so we are just taking supplements and trying our best in the meantime.

I recognise a lot of you from previous threads, fingers crossed this is our month.

(The silver lining of not getting pregnant is I only need to have 3 more unsuccessful cycles to get a premom premium refund for all OPK and cheap pregnancy tests I have bought from them since February 😅)

Mine never want to scan unless the test is on a white background. Always do in a well lit room.

Thank you. I’ve done another this afternoon which Premom says is ‘high’ but I think it looks like a positive to me.

Thank you. I do have the pre mom app but I’ve found it depends a lot on lighting etc. I’ve had more opks delivered this morning so will test again this afternoon 😄

@KGeeGee welcome to the thread! I think you have a good plan at the moment. Just being relaxed about it and wait and see what happens. Although, in my experience, the anxiety quickly ramps up and you become obsessed with tracking and POAS! I hope you can stay more chilled than me though! Good luck!

So I tried ithe ferti-Lily yesterday, and found it fairly easy (although to caveat that I do use a menstrual cup so maybe that’s why?)

This maybe TMI, but I found it impossible to remove with the stem. Instead I reached back until I found the indents on the cup, pinched them to break the seal and then slid it out, and it wasn’t particularly messy.
Who knows if it will actually work, but it makes me feel like I’m doing something to help!

I’m glad you found it more straightforward than me! I think you’re right that using the menstrual cup means you’ve probably already got the knack of these things. I really should try it again because I gave up very quickly. And maybe I’ll try removing it the way you said, as I was pulling down on the stem for ages and I think it has created a vacuum and suddenly it came out quickly and ahem, went everywhere! I’m 4 dpo now so will give it another go next month if I need to!

When I was pregnant with my first I had all sorts going on with my throat making it harder to swallow and making me feel nauseous to take my retainer out in a morning.. I guess you're probably still a bit early to test!

How strange, I wonder if there is a link! I won’t be testing yet as I’d drive myself crazy trying to see a line!

I also wear a retainer which is interesting. Wondering if it’s something to do with that!

blueberrypi27 · 02/08/2024 10:02

I didn’t have any symptoms until I was about 7 weeks with either of mine

Woken up with mucus at the back of my throat - 8dpo!! Had a google and a threat from 2015’on another site suggests it could be a pregnancy symptom?? Has anyone heard of this before?
